Listening to a CD, everything working fine, i change to FM radio, shortly later press the "disc" button, but my screen reads, " no disc" even though there are 6 cds inside. If i press the eject or load button nothing happens.

Also, when I input an address and it gives me 3 options (Quick, Alternate etc) the 3 options are greyed out and it will only go to Quick.
View 4 RepliesI just bought a 2010 LX and tonight I discovered that I may be able to play a digit copy DVD. So, the kids jumped in the car and inserted one of their movies(not Blu Ray) and we can only hear it. All we see in the video box is a blue screen.
View 5 RepliesI was trying to change my disk from 12.1 to 13.1 in my 2008 GS 350 AWD. so I ejected the disk via the screen, took it out and put the new one in. Started making a continuous clicking sound and then took the disk half-way out then in then totally out. Ok, maybe a bad disk so I tried to put 12.1 back in and same thing happened. Ok now I tired the original disk that came with the car. Same thing. Very odd. It worked fine up until the second I took it off.
View 14 RepliesI recently started noticing that when I make a call with my phone connected via bluetooth, the phone number and/or name of person calling no longer shows up on the infotainment screen.. now it just shows as "private call" ... Why this is happening all of a sudden? It was working fine until recently.. how do I fix it?
View 5 RepliesJust installed the Vaistech iVic unit yesterday and everything seemed to function fine, but noticed once I started driving today that my Navigation unit was off. It still operated and tracked movement OK, only the maps were about 10 minutes away from where I was actually located.
I've turned off the car several times since, and also took out the Navigation disc and re-installed but it keeps putting me in the same wrong place, This all happens in the normal standard Lexus modes.
Alternator on my 2006 GX failed, caused battery to discharge and vehicle stopped. Alternator was replaced, battery (was new) is testing fine. All electronics and indicator lights normal except Nav system. Display reads insert proper disc. I have ejected and reloaded disc multiple times, no change. Disc is OEM, one release back.
View 14 RepliesThe OEM DVD player in my '04 started having problems with occasionally displaying a disc format error across the screen. The movie usually still plays, but the lettering is stays on the screen. If you go back through the menus it will sometimes go away or you just have to eject and reload the DVD. Now it does it pretty much everytime we turn the player on.

I am getting a blinking red indicator on the status screen whenever the power is off (locked or unlocked), with a symbol of a padlock over a car.

View 7 RepliesInserted updated nav disc as directed in nav disc slot, closed door. Now the disc is stuck in the scan-disc mode and the load/eject button doesn't work on it. Wondering if there is a way to force eject the disc or other way to unstick it. You can hear the disc 'whirring' briefly as if it is trying to eject, but is stuck. It does this over and over. That's the only sound; none of the other buttons are responsive.
View 1 RepliesSo my screen has been acting up for a while now...not too sure why. I have an '08 350 without navigation. From time to time, the screen will automatically go off regardless of what's being viewed. I took a look and fooled around with some settings (the auto transition from climate to trip or whatever you call it) even tried pushing the screen off button in hopes it would reset or clear the problem. It's just annoying because I have to constantly re-awake the screen only to have it happen again moments later...

I'm having a problem with MP3/CD Player that came along with the car, i.e. I didn't install it myself. Basically, after I inserted CD, I can't eject it back, nor can I switch in CD mode, by pressing CD button.
It looks like it jammed inside. Is there any way to work around and retrieve the disk, or the player must be disassembled for this?
CD didn't have defects or scratches, the surface is ideal.
I have a 2003 GX with DVD & NAV. The DVD gives me a message on the rear screen that says "Disk Check" and then never plays the disk. I tried multiple disks and am pretty sure the DVD unit is toast. Looking forward to replace the DVD unit in the center console?
View 2 RepliesSo out of the blue while driving, my navigation goes out into a blank grey screen. I took it in to one Lexus dealer and they thought my disk was bad. They said I should just order the new updated one.
I wasn't all that confident that the disk was the problem so I took it to another dealer (both were lexus), and they said I my computer was bad on the nav system and it would be $3000 to replace it unless they could pull it out of another vehicle, then it would be $1800. So my problem is, I would like to try the disk obviously first to see if that will solve the problem, but I don't want to shell out $300 and have it not work, and then learn it was the computer that was broke.
On my 2007 GS350 I have an annoying (or) normal problem where the Nav screen has to warm up a little, like an old tube radio, to full brightness when I start up the car on a colder morning. It takes about 15 to 20 seconds. My Lexus dealer first said it was normal but eventually gave up and replaced it. It still seems to be about the same.
View 8 RepliesI Just bought my 08 GS 350 and the navigation worked fine except my road didn't show up. Not knowing much about navigation screens I assumed I could figure out how to update it by just going though some screens.....!!! I went through all the gps screens and got to a screen that said update gps or something like that..... but anyway I pushed it like a idiot and now its stuck on insert map dvd!!! I am like what?? Nothing came out though. Now I cant get the navigation to start back! Whats going on..where would a dvd come out at? How did I have navigation if no disc was in??
View 14 RepliesOn occasion, on the power generation screen, I see just the motor applying power to the wheels. this only lasts about 2-3 seconds and I can't see any pattern to it (speed, going down grade, cold, warm etc). Is this normal?
