View 14 RepliesI have driven two Lexus IS 250's with the standard 17" wheels. I am considering trading up to the 2014 model, which appears to often come with 18" wheels on the AWD model (which is what I am looking for).
What differences can I expect on the 18" wheels vs. what the 17" gives now?
If I want the luxury package then I'd have to go with18 inch wheels. I can do without that package but was curious about the different handling characteristics? I'm concerned about mpg and handling.

1) Will the Avalon 17 inch wheels fit my camry?
2) Can the current lug nuts be reused, or do I need to get new lugs?
3) Can the current TPMS sensors be transferred to the Avalon set

View 1 RepliesWhat is the maximum safe tire pressure with 19" wheels? I don't mean cold pressure. I mean maximum pressure. My rears showed 50psi on the TPMS after 20 min of driving. When I got home and measured them, they were 50.5/50psi. It's been roughly 110 degrees over the past week. It is impossible to get a true cold tire reading because it doesn't go below 85 degrees these days. So... am I well inside a safe zone at 50?

View 4 RepliesHave a 2008 F-350 crew cab 4x4 lariat with 20" wheels on it. Tire size is very limited/expensive. Can I replace the 20" wheels with 18" or 17"? I was told it depends on the size of the brakes. How do I check that, short of buying "test" wheels? I am old school and would rather have more tire and less rim, than the other way around.
View 14 RepliesMy battery got too low and messed up my passenger window after charged. The issue now is...the strangest issue I've seen.. The passenger window! If I push the down button where it will automatically go down it just goes down and stops about an inch from hitting the bottom, If I push the up button to automatically go up BUT it will automatically goes down by itself when it hit the top and stop about an inch from bottom..
If I push the button soft to go up slowly and then let go the button when it reach the top it will stay.. Like I said it will not go down all the way, stop about an inch from bottom.
Trying to lower the seat or seat rails in an SC430. I would like to get the seats down about an inch. Can the seats be taken out and distance between the bottle of the rail and the seat shortened somehow.
View 2 Replies2011 LX57O. There is one moderate annoyance with it: its brakes. The pedal travels about 2" before I can feel any meaningful braking or deceleration, and after those 2" the braking force becomes quite disproportionate to the additional pedal travel, may be another 0.5", it brakes quite hard. So, it has become increasingly difficult to brake consistently. Dealer service has told us "this is normal."
We had the brake fluid changed twice already, and pedal feel improves noticeably after each change and gets worse from that point on. Our 2000 model Land Cruiser pedal feel is superb, all stock, and it is much more rewarding to drive and drive consistently.
