I was trying to replace the bulbs in the running board and the first bulb I tried to replace when reinserting the bulb came loose and fell in the housing.
Is there anyway to remove the running board light assembly or how to get the bulb out of there?
I was changing out the little parking light bulbs outside of the housing with led bulb and it fell into the housing of the headlights!! Wow my luck do I have to remove the whole bumper to get this bulb out of the housing?
View 6 RepliesToday I happen to notice that both sides of my running board rear light is loose. Tried a bit and did not figure out how to put them back in place. Since both sides got loose, I guess it is a quite common issue?

View 9 RepliesLast night on a 400 mile trip the wheelwell plastic fell loose onto the wheel and was destroyed. There was some kind of white bottle that attached to it that got ruined also. What it may have been? The car is 200 miles from home and me or i could be more specific.
View 3 RepliesSo I was driving down the highway on my way to work today and this thing fell off my car and I ran it over. It has a part number and it says that it is some kind of an air duct housing. I looked underneath the car and it was right inside of the driver's side wheel well.
My questions is, is this something I need to replace? The hose is still there, and the housing up top with the air filter is still fine. To me it just looks like this was something to keep the hose in place that draws air in.
The car is pretty beat up from an accident, but still only has 140,000 miles and runs well so I think it has a few years left, but I'm trying to keep costs down since it is just my "beater" car I drive to work.
I have seen many mods to headlights in the 2012 Prius, many of them have upgraded to HIDS and what not. My question is the little bulb in the top of the headlight housing i see is like a blue or LED color, yet i cannot find anything about them anywhere. Love the look and would match my HID kit once i get installed this weekend......
View 19 RepliesI was replacing the side marker lamp on the passenger side. It was super hard to get my hand in there to get it out! The problem is when I was trying to reinsert it, the bulb slipped out of the socket. I think it fell inside the housing. So it looks like I'm going to have remove the headlight housing to get it out.

I have an 09 2nd Gen RX with water in the fog light housing, the bulb has blown as well so there's shattered glass inside.
My inside dome lights and running board lights used to turn off after 30 seconds or so, after closing the door. I noticed this evening, they are staying on for 10 to 15 minutes before shutting off. I thought maybe I left the inside rolling switch on next to the headlight switch, but that was not on. I washed the vehicle earlier and dried out the contact points for the rear window and barn doors using WD-40 and wiping that off, as I noticed they had a little water around them after washing. I have washed the vehicle a few times before (had it only 3 months) with no problems until now. Lights are still staying on an extended period of time.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2005 Excursion V10 4WD Eddie Bauer edition. Within the past month I have noticed that the interior dome lights and running board lights don't always come on when I open the doors. The dimmer switch is set to the highest level without being turned on and all of the dashboard lights work. I turn the dimmer switch on and sometimes the interior lights work and sometimes they don't. The door switch seems to be in good shape as well. If I turn the dome lights on individually they work so I know that there is not a problem with the bulbs. Where I can look for the problem?
View 3 Replies2002 Exc, 7.3L TD, Some one broke into the truck last week by jaming a screwdriver into the door key lock. Tried to pull the ignition out but failed. Pulled the A/V system out, cutting wires and such. So the dealer (insurance covered it ) installed the new door lock and said nothing is wrong with the ignition. But now the dome lights and running board lights come on at random and kill the batteries.
Could it be the ignition? Or something inside the driver's door? The batteries are brand new.
I just picked up an 01 V10 Limited 4x4 and one thing I noticed is the drivers side running board has a very soft spot right where I step to get in. It seems solid both forward and behind that area. Any suggestions for reinforcing the stock runingboards?
View 6 RepliesI am experiencing a loud clunk sound at the end of the extension cycle. This is on the driver side and it appears to be associated with the back hinge assembly. Is there an adjustment for the length of travel? There appears to be a slight amount of play if I pull up on the aft end of the board. There is zero play in the front hinge on the driver side or in both front and back on hinges on the passenger side.

View 7 Repliesif 08 factory running boards will fit on my 15? After ten weeks of waiting she finally in town but the dealer told me I never mentioned running boards so it's either swap my old ones or pay 600 for some after markets similar to the factory running boards.
View 6 RepliesJust bought a 2002 F-250 Crew Cab. It has the factory style running boards with the lights at each end. None of them where working so I changed the bulbs and still nothing. I decided to follow the wiring to make sure everything was good and found that neither one of the boards are plugged into anything. They both have about a 2' loomed harness with a plug on the end of each board and it is zipped tied to the frame. But there is no wiring nearby to plug it into, I have checked everywhere. I can run extra wiring no problem if I can find out where they are supposed to plug at.

So I bought an unused/uninstalled HID kit (Xenondepot) from another member on the board recently and installed it in my GX470. I have had aftermarket HID kits (Toyota OEM ballasts and D2S Philips bulbs w/adapters) in other cars so I know how to install them and what I need to be careful of (don't touch bulbs, good connections, etc).
Well, after about three hours of burn time over a few days with about 6 start up strikes, my drivers side is failing. The bulb did not strike one time so I turned the lights off, waited 10 seconds and turned it back on to restrike the bulbs and the both came on. When I started the car later that evening, the drivers side did not work again. I tried the same restrike process and no dice. The drivers side never came back after that.
I know XenonDepot has no liability to me since I did not buy the kit directly from them but I am not sure where I should buy a single replacement bulb from since it seems like the new bulb was defective (the kit was brand new and uninstalled).
How to change the bulb on the rx330 fog lights. It doesn't say it in the manual.
