I was changing out the little parking light bulbs outside of the housing with led bulb and it fell into the housing of the headlights!! Wow my luck do I have to remove the whole bumper to get this bulb out of the housing?
View 6 RepliesI was trying to replace the bulbs in the running board and the first bulb I tried to replace when reinserting the bulb came loose and fell in the housing.
Is there anyway to remove the running board light assembly or how to get the bulb out of there?
So I was driving down the highway on my way to work today and this thing fell off my car and I ran it over. It has a part number and it says that it is some kind of an air duct housing. I looked underneath the car and it was right inside of the driver's side wheel well.
My questions is, is this something I need to replace? The hose is still there, and the housing up top with the air filter is still fine. To me it just looks like this was something to keep the hose in place that draws air in.
The car is pretty beat up from an accident, but still only has 140,000 miles and runs well so I think it has a few years left, but I'm trying to keep costs down since it is just my "beater" car I drive to work.
I have seen many mods to headlights in the 2012 Prius, many of them have upgraded to HIDS and what not. My question is the little bulb in the top of the headlight housing i see is like a blue or LED color, yet i cannot find anything about them anywhere. Love the look and would match my HID kit once i get installed this weekend......
View 19 RepliesI was replacing the side marker lamp on the passenger side. It was super hard to get my hand in there to get it out! The problem is when I was trying to reinsert it, the bulb slipped out of the socket. I think it fell inside the housing. So it looks like I'm going to have remove the headlight housing to get it out.

I have an 09 2nd Gen RX with water in the fog light housing, the bulb has blown as well so there's shattered glass inside.
The plastic housing on the headlights for my 2001 Passat wagon is really fogging up and yellowing pretty badly. Is there a way to fix the yellowing/fogging? If not, what are good replacement headlights that won't cost me an arm and a leg? I'll need the entire assembly, not just the bulb.
View 2 RepliesI got my headlights swapped but the turn signal sockets can't go into the housings. The old bulb socket thing is a 90 degree twist in and it would twist in if there was room for the socket to twist. The back of the housing has a blocky lumpy thing in the way and I need a straight in socket I guess.

So I bought an unused/uninstalled HID kit (Xenondepot) from another member on the board recently and installed it in my GX470. I have had aftermarket HID kits (Toyota OEM ballasts and D2S Philips bulbs w/adapters) in other cars so I know how to install them and what I need to be careful of (don't touch bulbs, good connections, etc).
Well, after about three hours of burn time over a few days with about 6 start up strikes, my drivers side is failing. The bulb did not strike one time so I turned the lights off, waited 10 seconds and turned it back on to restrike the bulbs and the both came on. When I started the car later that evening, the drivers side did not work again. I tried the same restrike process and no dice. The drivers side never came back after that.
I know XenonDepot has no liability to me since I did not buy the kit directly from them but I am not sure where I should buy a single replacement bulb from since it seems like the new bulb was defective (the kit was brand new and uninstalled).
How to change the bulb on the rx330 fog lights. It doesn't say it in the manual.

View 4 RepliesRecently my 05 RX330 had the driver side low beam bulb go out. I took it to a few places and they said take it to the dealership as they have special tools to change it. Of course I took it there and they were ready to charge me an arm and a leg to get 1 little bulb replaced. My question is do you have recommendations as to what I should do to get this fixed and not have my wallet get destroyed?
