My 2003 Lexus GX 470 radio will not turn off, its display is dark, the cd player will not eject and the radio channels do not change. The only way to turn down the sound is on the wheel.
View 4 RepliesI noticed today shortly before turning off the car that the screen was lagging. Sometimes there was not even response. Radio turned on and off ok, but screen was not showing it. It would then display (after several seconds) the info, display, and audio. However, when I clicked the Climate one, the MFD said, "Check the condition to the air conditioner." However, when I used the driver's controls, it worked okay.
I then turned off the car, and when I turned it back on, everything appeared to be normal. The screen was significantly lagging.
Might this be an issue with the air conditioning itself. I mostly run the A/C on full blast on the MAX cold (sometimes Auto (LO temp, HI fan)). Temperature in the output vent (left center one) after 5-10 minutes: 48 degrees moving. Outside temperature between 100 and 110, so it's pretty hot too.
The small LCD display (Int temp, fan speed, etc.) in my Prius IV with Nav Package is very dark, read "unreadable" when sunlight is prominent in the car. This is so even with the panel rheostat turned all the way up to bright. Is this a faulty display or is there any work around if not?
View 8 RepliesI just noticed the other day that part of my instrument cluster is darker than the rest. Everything is nice and bright however my 0-20mpg area isn't as bright as the rest of my cluster.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2007 bottle fed EX 350. I am installing XM into it. SAT/AM button scrolls thru SAT 1 2 3. Display sometimes shows 184 or 255. Occasionally is says Radio Err, It has displayed "radio id" with nothing else, And I managed to get it to display a cryptic looking F W1 4 30 .

Siriusxm cannot work with my vin.
Cannot tune to ch0 as there is no XM preview going on.
I have a 2013 ES300h with Lexus Navigation Display. is it possible to have on display during driving climate or radio active? It now changes automatically to navigation.

The 2nd hand multi-information display panel is from a 2004 RX330 and what are the socket behind the display panel meant for.
what is the 4 socket connectors as indicated in the red circle in the image should be connected to?
The digital display in the cluster, sometimes it works perfectly fine and its clearly legible and bright as day. Most other time however, the lighting or whatever in it gets really dim and the text gets really dark and hard to read. I usually have to cup my hands over the cluster to get it really dark and then i can see what it says. Like i said though, sometimes it could be broad daylight and its really bright and easy to see, but most of the time its not.
View 10 RepliesI just purchase a 2002 SC430 with only two (minor) issues. First: the radio display does not work. Everything else is fine. The CD changer works, the radio works, the steering column controls work. The display is blank. Lexus solution is 650$ for a new radio. Seems like there should be a simpler fix.
Second, the panel covering the display does not come down. I can pull it down, and it will go back up with the push of the button. But it will not go back down. Again Lexus fix is 700$. I guess I can keep pulling it down for that price, but how was it resolved.
Occasionally, right after I start the car, the HDD display screen will be dark for a minute or two, and then display the map. I can go to the other screens, like Audio or the setup screens, but the map and the backup camera screens are dark. The still-functional buttons are responsive as usual (no delays/hangs). When the map finally "wakes up", it behaves normally. I don't have to do anything other than wait for it to wake up. It does this about 10% of the time. I have tried to correlate this to something, but it seems totally random.

Audio doesn't resume upon selecting Radio or Media from the display?
Instead, we have to press the volume **** and then select radio or media, adding a step.
Is it possible to turn off the display screen for the Nav system? I mean turn it completely off, so the screen is dark.

Yesterday when I got in the car to do errands the car turned on but neither the MFD nor the main dash display turned on. I was able to get a little bit out of the MFD when I would push the display button, but it would fade and then go off. The main display was completely blank (no speedo, lights, other indicators, nothing), although it would show the turn indicators when I signaled.
When I got where I was going I couldn't turn the car off by pushing the power button, and I couldn't get the trunk open to get the garbage out.
I turned the display off. Its off/dark
How can I turn it back on. The "off button" is not a toggle, and no" on button" shows.
I just started to notice that the head lights no longer turn on when it gets dark, they are on all the time. Where is the sensor that I need to replace. Is it the black domed piece in the center of the dash board. Which is near the heat vent. I also need the part number so that I can order the part and get it replaced.

View 12 RepliesI listen to AM radio for traffic reports and local news. It constantly fades between HD and normal, and that is very annoying.
If I turn off HD, it automatically returns to HD if I listen to a text message, take a phone call, or change the radio station.
Is there anyway to turn off HD and keep it off, even if it is for short trips?
I have a 95 Cherokee and dark smoke is starting to come out of the exhaust, but only when I make a u-turn. The Jeep is running fine, except for the smoke and I noticed the problem about two weeks ago. While the Jeep is running there is absolutely no smoke, but as soon as I make a u-turn a cloud of smoke comes out the back that smells like burnt rubber.
View 1 RepliesI have an 05 Freestar with no instrumentation and no error codes. None of the gauges work and most of the warning lights are lit when the truck is running. No A/C and no ABS while driving and turn signals work, but do not display on the dash. It appears that two separate code readers are not acknowledging the computer. The battery and alternator check out good and there is no drain on the battery when ign switch is off.
View 5 RepliesEvery time I turn on the radio, or even change the volume, it starts to play a random song in iTunes from my Bluetooth paired iphone. Even if I stop it, and close the app in my phone, if I alter any input on the radio, it begins to play the song on it's own. I've tried to alter settings in the phone (nothing actually applies) and I can't seem to find anything other than disconnecting the phone that will stop it. I do want to have both the phone and music usable..any hints?
