I just got my 2013 a few months ago and this just started. I'm a little heavier than most people (230lbs), but I don't think that is the problem.
Sometimes when I make a turn (not hitting a bump) or go over a bump, I hear a clicking sound from underneath my seat (towards the rear)... Tried adjusting the seat and messing around with a few settings, but the "clicking" sound persists....?
2004 PSD 4x4 72k. I thought I would be proactive so I bought the front ball joints and have plans to install them but recently I starting hearing (and feeling) a clicking sound in the front LEFT when I make sharp turns to the left and hit small bumps now and again. I jacked up the front end and am able to get 1/4" of movement front to back (top to bottom so not steering) in the wheel.
I narrowed it down to the hub. I took it apart and it is most likely a sealed unit so no adjustment is possible....that I can see.I pulled out the locking hub and got as far as I can to know there is not an adjustment. Need to confirm that it indeed is a sealed bearing and if so what are the part number(s) I may need to repair it.
The driver and front pax headrest won't stay up on my '11 GX. They have the RSES installed. I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but it seems odd that both headrests would experience the same problem. When I raise them, they just fall right down to the lowest position with a thunk.
If I wiggle the passenger one, sometimes it will stay up. It looks like there are a couple of plastic bushings that aren't seated properly, but when I push them down, they just ride up again when I raise the headrest.
I'll take it to the dealer next week, as this should be covered under warranty, but I'd like to know if this is a known issue and if there is anything I can do to prevent it from happening again.
I have a '10 IV and my drivers seat clicks in the middle of my back. It seems that it may be the top of the lumbar cushion going bad.
View 10 RepliesI have been driving 2013 model for five months. I noticed that whenever any front wheel rolls over cat-eye on the road and any sudden small bump then it generates noticeable clicking sound. I went to the dealer and they said it is normal and comes with all such cars.

Having a very annoying rattle/creaking near the seat belt pillar on the driver's side? This occurs continously even on smooth highway roads. I will ask them to check it out at the 5k service.
Also, my steering wheel slightly "clicks" when turning the steering wheel 1 full turn to the right. It doesn't do it on the left side, and doesn't seem right. No turn signals or anything is on. Just seems flimsy with all these noises!
09 stx 2wd 4.6L- I have a 2.5'' leveling kit and 33'' bfg a/t tires. The problem is when I make sharp turns, or turn and go over small bumps. Whats happening is something seems to catching or rubbing it kind of jerks towards the opposite of where I am turning and causes the traction control to slow my truck (sucks on tight off-ramps/ u-turns). this happens at pretty much any speed although it gets worse as speed increases. At first I thought it was the steering stoppers but don't have any wear on them, tires do not rub anywhere. My dealer and a local off road shop cant figure it out...

View 8 RepliesIt seems like every time I take a corner or make any sudden acceleration/deceleration that my driver seat seems to shift around--like it's not properly anchored in my car. It's hard to explain...Any aggressive driving around corners and such makes my seat make a slight popping sound, with some slight give. I never had this problem with my mkvi TDI I used to have (although I could never take corners as fast as my R). Also, my seats are already showing wearing on the bolsters (just over 2k miles). I know others have expressed issues with this. What is everyone else doing to remedy this?
View 6 RepliesI need to get my front driver seat and passenger seat replaced because they look so beaten down. The cushion is almost gone and looks very wrinkly.
I really need to come up with the excuse because i doubt they will let me change it if i tell them that its getting wrinkly and the cushion is gone.
In January we bought a 2010 RX 450H with less than 12,000 miles. But 2 months ago noticed a yellowing discoloring on the drivers leather in a few spots. It is the light gray leather. Also some flaking. I had a similar flaking with our 07 ES350. The dealer had their detailer clean the RX drivers leather but now notice it returning and several areas of the coloring flaking off. I've heard they treat any seat imperfections to prep for CPO sale. In fact it looked new when bought. The feel of the drivers leather is also different than all the other seats.
The car still has less than 20,000 miles. This is ridiculous.
The other day i noticed that when i make a sharp turn left or right i hear a clicking noise. If the clutch is engaged it clicks and if its not then it does not click. It is also louder when i turn right... I am thinking CV axle!

I'd like to pack items on the floor behind the driver's seat but am certain that the "auto away" function that moves the seat all the way back when you turn off the car will crush my items. I checked my manual and my Carista app but nothing about disabling this feature. How to do this?

How to do this to the 2015 RX 350? Please note that the 2014 hack does not work on the 2015 model year.

The spring-clicking kinda noise only happens when i make a sharp right turn at low speed and seems to be coming from the driver's side. So i though bad outer cv joint.
Well, I put on a brand new OEM unit last night and noise is still there.
2007 3GS 350 awd.
While I'm driving my car ( at a rolling speed 5mph-20mph) I get a clicking sound from front driver side when I hit a small bump, stop, and stop and go at a traffic light. Mainly clicking noise when I hit bumps, but when traveling at highway speeds and I hit a bump I do not hear the clicking noise. ITS VERY ANNOYING, and I have never heard this noise after the brutal snow we just got here in MA. Also I should add, I am currently on BC Racing BR type coil overs which I bought brand new and installed in October. Its not clunking like ball joints, or banging like a blown strut mount.
My question; Where to start? Something needs lubrication?
'13 model. I checked the vehicle customization to have the setting on but I noticed that the driver seat has stop moving assisting easy exit feature. The steering wheel is tilting however. Should I check with the dealer?
View 9 RepliesI have 2011 GX 460 with 28000 miles. Just recently I started to notice the noise of the engine. You can only hear it only from a driver's seat, and it happens when you drop the pedal and engine goes into idling, at stop signs or stop lights etc. It comes as grinding noise and goes away when you accelerate. If the vehicle in parking or at full stop, you can hear this humming light grinding noise. I go outside, lay under the car and hear no noise. The dealer says it is a normal sound for this vehicle. I tried a few of them, and it is not the sound I hear.
View 14 RepliesI got into our car (2013 RX 450h) and the seat was completely pushed back. I had been the last (and only ) driver of our car and had not adjusted the seat. I managed to reach the brake pedal, started the car, pushed the L1 seating position and my seat re-adjusted. I then put the car into Drive and when I stepped on the accelerator, it would not move.
The parking brake was not on, there was nothing obstructing the car. I turned it off, turned it on again and it was then fine. I had last driven it 3 days prior, the battery was fine, the outside temperature was registered as 30 degrees, so not excessively cold. We park in a garage although it is not entirely closed off from the outside air.
Experienced this with the car no moving despite being in drive and stepping on accelerator?
