I've been using Soundcloud (android) to stream music to the car and everything was going well until a couple days ago.
Whenever I touch the volume controls (steering wheel and center console) it always restarts the song that's playing (the volume does change but the song just restarts). Sometimes I inadvertently use the car volume controls and the song just resets!!
I thought I'd finally move into the 21st century and jump on the mp3/bluetooth streaming wagon. Was always the traditional CD-album guy and after this, I may need to go back.
Problem is, I can't change track with the radio or steering wheel controls. Also, unlike the phone which automatically is available for use after the auto-connection happens via the car's controls, I have to manually launch the player on my phone then push play on it. Once done, music plays from the BT Audio system and when that track is complete, moves on automatically to the next one. The control of pausing, playing, skipping tracks does not work via the car (steering and audio controller) and is ONLY possible from the phone which defeats the purpose of a hands-free driving experience.
I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Note 2, Android v4.3 and I've tried both Google Play Music and the native "Music" player on the device, with no luck. I have the standard Display Audio Controller (no-NAV).
I just leased a 2013 ES 350 (love the car BTW):
Play a song via Bluetooth on your cell phone through the car audio, turn the car off, restart the car and the Bluetooth song gets reset to the beginning and does not resume.
In two rental cars I had previously, they both resumed from the point the song left off so I know this option is common out there. Perhaps this is because of the synchronization that occurs every time you connect the Bluetooth?

Experienced low volume on car while streaming music thru Bluetooth via your smart phone. I usually like to listen to my music at a moderate loud setting, volume cranked up between 35-40 depending on the type of music. Apparently even at volume set between 35-40 it still sound very low, but suddenly volume goes up when I received a txt message or email on my phone. I've tried messing with all the settings on the car and my phone. Even restore default settings in my car and phone. Problem still there.
I have a 2014.5 Camry SE but I'm having a few issues that I'd like to address.
My issue is, when I hook up the phone to the car's bluetooth, the car does not let me switch songs or pause/play from the car's audio system, the only thing I can do from the steering wheel or audio interface is fast forward or rewind the song but not skip the track or pause.
My second issue so far is that I can't seem to find how to set the car to turn on the map lights when the doors open. I checked the manual and it tells me that there's a switch to flip, like the dome lights in the back, right next to the map lights but there is no switch and therefore no visible way to change this. I've gone through the settings of the vehicle and I've gone to the light settings but there is nothing in the settings about it.
My GS350 is a spare car that sits for weeks at a time and recently the battery fully discharged. After charging the battery and getting it running, when I go to the climate control on the touchscreen, I don't get any climate controls. I get the error "Please check air conditioner connection". Any quick way for me to reset or rectify this or do I need to go to the dealer? This error is a result of a dead battery?

View 7 RepliesI have a '10 with NAV. iphone 5S. Bluetooth enabled on phone and syncs to car. Phone calls work great.
On the Radio function, there is a BT (among others) tab, however mine is greyed out. AUX tab lights up with the cable plugged into the port in the black hole and my phones headphone port. Whether this cable is plugged in or not, the BT tab is never accessible. My wife has a '13 Venza with NAV same iPhone and she can play music through her phone wireless, selecting the BT tab.
So I currently have a 2006 Lexus GS430 and was wondering if the 2007 model gs350 came equipped with streaming music through bluetooth?
View 14 RepliesSo I'm trying to stream music via bluetooth using my Android phone with my LS460. My phone is a LG G2.
The past few months when I started it up it's been saying "portable player was not able to connect" or something along the lines of that. I recently had my GPS maps updated to the new 2014 maps so maybe that messed with something. Anways, I tried to go to the audio settings and getting it to connect, but it keeps failing. Telling me to "please check the settings of the audio player" When I try to connect it says that it is connecting to "Huawei-M860" I don't have any Huawei devices, I'm assuming that's the bluetooth audio module? or something along that lines.
By the way the bluetooth works for calls with my phone. I canmake/receive them with no problem. How do I fix this so that I can stream music from my phone via blueooth?
I just picked up a 2006 GS300 AWD and wanted to setup my phone to stream Google Play Music through the bluetooth to the head unit... Is this possible? Or am I going to have to hack into the back wires like I did with my ES300 in order to setup an AUX line and connect a bluetooth adapter?

Even though the audio section is the whole left side of the screen, it does not display the artist or song information for radio stations. If I click on audio, though, then in the full audio screen (with presets, etc.), it does show the artist and song information. How to get the info to display on the home screen?

My Samsung phone is connected to car via Bluetooth. It seems to work fine. However my phone restarts when I start and turn the car off.
The car is about a week old. Today, the NAV system (ML version), re-started a few times and then shut completely off. Re-starting the car does not work. Got a totally "off" screen and no sound. 2014 350?
Is there some way to reset it or turn it back on? I can't imagine that a brand new Lexus would have this sort of issue.
I am new to my Lexus and have owned the car a month now. I love it. The only part of the car I haven't quite figured out though, is locking the car via SmartAccess. About 50% of the time, I can't get the car to lock on the first try by placing my hand on the door handle and touching the sensor with my thumb. Tonight I tried 3 times before giving up, digging the key fob out of my pocket, and doing it manually. Its frustrating. Is there something i'm doing wrong, or is there a special touch I'm missing somewhere?

View 4 RepliesWhen I am listening to songs from iPhone there are buttons on my head unit (C2 radio NOT nav system) for play/pause, fwd, rewind BUT the rewind and fwd buttons only forward through the song it's playing (like you used to be able to do with cassette tapes) and it does NOT skip to the next song. How stupid is that? I have never seen a digital audio player that did this, the fwd/rewind always skip back a song or fwd a song BUT the prius head unit only skips through the song itself.
View 6 RepliesMy wife usually has her iPhone with Bluetooth turned on. If I am driving and she gets a call, the radio is muted while she is talking on the phone. Even if she switches the audio source to iPhone and not the speaker, it takes away my music! I guess there is no way around this?

View 7 RepliesI just purchased a 2010 Prius II. I have an I Phone 5. When I connect the phone thru Blue Tooth and listen to music app, I can only adjust the volume with the phone. I want to be able to adjust the volume with the car stereo volume knob.
