I purchased a CPO 2013 RX350 recently and just noticed that it has some scratches in the navigation screen (only seen in certain conditions when black and not under power). I am scared to try any compound on it.
View 4 RepliesNoticed that the Gen 3 black model seems to scratch very easily? In my ten years of owning cars, I've received less than 10 scratches. In 10 months of owning my Gen 3, I have now at least 5 pretty visible scratches. I do my best to park away from other cars, don't park by high pedestrian traffic streets, etc. I'm taking precautions I never took with my other cars and I still get rudely surprised almost monthly.

View 12 RepliesWhen we start the car, it goes to the Nav screen and the screen freezes up. We cannot do anything on the touch screen or even stop / start the radio using the button. We have to stop the engine and restart it to work normally. This happened a couple of times in the last two days. We have a Black / Black 2014 GX that we picked up last month.
View 4 RepliesI've had my 2015 GX 460 since April 18th. Since I've had it the navigation screen has frozen on me 5 times with 830 miles on it.
Every time it froze on me all the center console buttons will not work. The Audio, Nav, Climate & Home button's DO NOT WORK! Also the buttons on the steering wheels won't work as well. The only time I can get the navigation to unfreeze is by shutting off the car.
The 5th time it froze I held down the "Power/Vol" button down and the navigation screen turn black and restarted itself while the vehicle was in motion.
According to the navigation manual (attached), the navigation screen should go to the home screen within 5 seconds. But my IS never goes to the home screen without pressing the home button, but it always shows the full screen map. I tried many different things including "Auto Screen Change" setting but nothing seems to work.

I recently purchased a 2011 hyundai elantra and i bought a aftermarket navigation. I connected everything how it should be (i think) and the navigation screen would not turn on but the buttons work and volume and everything else but the screen wouldnt turn on. I took it to a mechanic and he told me it was this strip that was burned. But it was working before he messed with it now the radio doesn't sound. Nothing works. Im trying to find the name of this part so i can buy a replacement.

View 3 RepliesDiagnosing different minor problems with my sc430. Tthe lastest one is that my navigation screen will not tilt back so the cover will go over it. It seems like its tilted forward all the way. The screen still works and all. But the tilt button does nothing and its too far out for me to get the wood grain cover to go over it. Is this a common issue? and whats the remedy?

I find it strange that my navigation home screen has the dealership name and logo on starting up the car so I figure that it could be set or change.
Is there a video or guide on how to do it? I want to put my family picture as the start up home screen.
At each car startup, after the navigation loads, it eventually settles on the map screen. Would prefer my personally adjusted home screen (the home button nearby the mouse) to just automatically appear on starting the vehicle. Is there a way to do this?

Sometimes I will be several blocks (1/4 - 1/2 mile) before it catches up with where I actually am. This doesn't seem normal, but figured I'd ask here... is this normal?

View 1 RepliesFor the past few days, every time i turn the car ON (with the headlights ON), the nav screen, clock and surrounding buttons illuminate as they should, but after ~3 seconds, the illumination for the surrounding buttons and clock shut off.
Also, the touch-screen functioning and surrounding buttons do not work at any time. The nav screen remains illuminated, however the touch-screen buttons and surrounding buttons do not work. If i turn the car off and restart, same thing; all lights illuminate for about 3 seconds then stop.
During the day with no lights on, the clock will illuminate for ~3 seconds, then shut off just like above. None of the surrounding buttons (climate, map, infom audio, display, etc) work at all.
What would cause this unusual condition? I feel like if a fuse were blown, it wouldn't work, period. But, the lights illuminate for a few seconds before shutting off.
The emergency flasher button works and illuminates always, and the passenger airbag lights do, likewise. I pulled the nav unit from the car and checked all cables, and they all appear in place.
I can communicate with the car via the voice commands, but that's it.
what might be causing these strange symptoms?
Yesterday I noticed my nav screen stopped responding but partially. It'll let me press buttons on left side but not right side. Unfortunately the "I agree" is on right side so I can't even get passed that screen. I don't use the nav but I'd rather have the map showing then "Caution...."
View 2 RepliesThe car is about a week old. Today, the NAV system (ML version), re-started a few times and then shut completely off. Re-starting the car does not work. Got a totally "off" screen and no sound. 2014 350?
Is there some way to reset it or turn it back on? I can't imagine that a brand new Lexus would have this sort of issue.
I took my SC430 to the Lexus dealership to get my passenger side air bag replaced due to the recall. I decided to have them work on my car by getting the oil changed, replacing a dead foglight bulb and checking on my navigation system.
I told my consultant that the nav will not work after I press the "agree" button on the screen and it just freezes. Later on, tells me that there's something wrong with the ECU chip and.
I was recently in a rear-end crash. The body-shop presumably disconnected the battery, fixed the rear door, and then re-connected the battery.
Now, however, the Navigation screen just flickers.
If I press Info, Audio, or Climate, the screen is just fine
If I press Menu, Dest or Display it flickers.
(Curiously, if I press Info, Audio, or Climate AND THEN press Display, the DISPLAY is fine)
Took it to the dealer, who said it was a coincidental to the body-shop repair.
I got my car today and am a little annoyed. When the car is started the navigation turns on and displays my Dealerships Name and Picture. Is there any way to get this removed and do I have to go back to have them take this off?
