Driver's Side does not open when touching handles. Passenger and hatch open and lock with no issue. Checked vehicle custom and correct setting is selected. It just stopped working.
View 1 RepliesSo when I first took the car home, I could unlock the car by touch the rear door handles and it would unlock all the doors for the car. However, my car wanted to update, and after doing this, this feature does not seem to work anymore. I can still touch the drivers side and front passenger side to unlock the doors, however, i am no longer able to unlock the car using the rear doors.
View 7 RepliesMy driver's side and passenger side door handles squeak when using them to close or open the door. Its kind of an annoying issue which surprised me due to the quality and fit and finish on the rest of the car. The door handles do NOT make noise when driving the car, only when I grab and squeeze and close or open the door. I will be taking it to my dealer's service centre at my earliest convenience to see if they can remedy the issue.

Page 575 of the manual that came with my 2016 GS shows that the owner can disable the smart access system, but I cannot find the setting. It ought to be with the page of locking settings but I do not see it there.
View 3 RepliesThe drivers side and passenger side doors will not unlock using my key fobs, nor by touching the door handles. The only thing that happens when I touch the front passenger door handle is that the back doors will unlock. I have to enter my car through the back doors, and unlock the front doors manually. Also, by touching the passenger door handle, I get a series of beeps (3-5). What may be causing this, and how to fix it?
View 2 RepliesI have a 2012 Golf R that has the Kessy system. I get "Keyless Defective" on the screen and am unable to lock/unlock doors by touching the handles. Key fob lock/unlock buttons work fine.
It ended up being a plug had come undone. I have a feeling it's the one that's just under the back of the rear seats. I was installing stereo wiring and it kept coming apart. What to look for under the hatch floor or the seats?
I've been having an issue with my smart key system since I did sound deadening on my car last weekend and had disconnected the auxiliary battery a few times during the process. I cannot get the driver door to unlock by grabbing the handle.
View 6 RepliesI have a Prius 2007 with smart key, the problem is the driver's door does not unlock while touching the handle sensor pad. I works perfectly with the other door and with the hatch one. The interior light turns on when I get close to the driver's door which means that it's not the proximity sensor.
It stopped working like a year ago, the weird thing that last winter and during the snow time exactly it worked like there is no problem at all! After that when the weather got better it stopped working again! Is it something related to temperature/humidity? or it was just like a one off happened by chance at that time?
Is there a way to diagnose the touch pad sensor and fixing it?
I drive a 2013 Elantra Limited. I cannot open the Driver side rear door from inside. I am hoping its a quick thing to enable this?
View 7 RepliesIt's strange because it doesn't happen over every bump and sometimes doesn't go off over pot holes, but switching lanes and going over the lane reflectors on the road will set it off. It happens only on the driver's door. I tried a DIY and while it doesn't happen as often as it use to, it still goes off from time to time.
Car is an 08 GS350 RWD.
Most times I try and open the drivers door I have to use the unlock switch to open it. There are times when it opens w/o having to do so.

View 3 RepliesStarting to build up some confidence to do my auto dim mirror install myself. How do you remove the A pillar on the driver's side? Is it difficult to do?
Also, in the manual, it says there's a fuse box under the driver side instruments... how do you get to that? Looks like there's a cover to remove?
Any time I open or close the driver side door, hearing some noise from the door hinge.

A locksmith came and instead of using the tool to unlock using the unlock button, he just pulled the regular lever inside with the tool to open the door while it was locked. Since then I cannot open the driver's side door from the inside. It will open, lock and unlock fine from the outside. It is unlocked when I attempt to open it from the inside. I pull the lever and nothing happens. I have to unroll the window and open the door using the outside handle or crawl over to exit from the passenger side door.
View 4 RepliesI Have a weird problem on my Lexus GS430 06. The car remains indicating that my door on the drivers side is open... especially with the dome light. When i put my interior lighting on "door" then the light on the drivers side remains on.. when i try to lock my car, the car beeps en says that there's stil a door open... and the interior lights start flashing in the car... meaning i had a dead battery the next morning...
Lets start from entering the car, while my dome light is on the "door" position. When i enter the car, en press the start button 1 time, the car ajar light is going on, and the car is beeping that there's a door open... when al my doors ar closed... but when this is happening, and i press "off" on my dome light, then its gone... when i put it back on "door" then it comes back...
Okay, now lets pres the start button again.. then, the car shows on the display that my drivers side door is open. When i put my dome light to "off" again, you see the door closing nice and easy... when i turn it to "door" again you see the door opening again...
Lets take it a step further... When i push the start button again, and thereby starting the car, then on the display, everything is okay, while the dome light, on the drivers side is still burning... When i then open my drivers side door, you'll see it open and close nice and easy on the display. So meaning.. that its not the switch on the door right?
Okay... this is where i'm at so far.... I have switched the switches from the doors from left to right, and it still remains the same... Also i have tried another dome unit from a Lexus GS450h... and its still the same... so thats both not it...
Also I have opened my driver side door panel, en removed all the connectors, en still the same thing....
If the driver's side fender liner is supposed to have an access panel cover? I was swapping out my side markers today and noticed that my passenger's side has one but not the driver's side. Didn't think to check for something like that during delivery although from looking at the one from the passenger's side, it doesn't seem hard to believe that it could have fallen out due to spirited driving.
View 3 RepliesI've looked in the owner's manual, but only find that they exist, no instructions on turning them on. I know I can unlock the doors with the key fob at night and the lights will come on, including the puddle lights on the bottoms of the rear view mirrors. If I touch the door handles instead of using the key fob (my preferred method of unlocking the vehicle), the doors unlock, but the puddle lights do not come on.
I would also like to be able to turn them on when I am getting ready to exit the car, especially so the wife does not step in a puddle.
I have Lexus Ls460 (2008), I have paint the driver door, so they removed the door handled and reinstall it after they finished, the problem now, the keyless access from the driver door not working, I can't enter unless I push the unlock button in the remote, all other doors working fine, and can be open without pressing the unlock button. So is their any way to re-program the driver keyless door? or it could be something wrong with the handle installation?
