2004 w8, driver window wont come back up and none of the windows responding. Both fuses are good but none of the windows are working on any of the switched or the door key. Also when i close the driver door its saying its not closed. Is there a fuse hiding somewhere under the hood? or what should i do. Its under warranty but its Sunday and rain is coming.

The drivers side window works when it wants to, the front passenger and the back drivers side windows wont go down at all and the passenger back window works only when the front drivers window does. The switches are lit up with the windows that don't work..like there is no power going to them. The power locks do the same..with the same problem windows. It has an after market car alarm, so could that be the problem.

View 9 Repliesrecently my friends driver window in her 2002 passat has stopped working. her car has automatic windows and im hoping its something simple. she doesnt know much about cars, but she says that the window was making a weird noise and her friends dad thought maybe it came off of the track. the window was rolling down halfway than bumping its self back up. than one day it got stuck down at halfway so her friends dad pulled it shut. And now the window is completely stuck up. all of the other windows are working fine.

After the work, the driver's master window control would not activate any window but the drivers. On a recent outing my wife activated the passenger' window. I suddenly regained control of that window from the drivers position. You guessed it, when I ran the rear windows up and down, I regained control of them also.

View 4 RepliesI just recently replaced the driver side 4-button window switch with one from AARodriguez (FixmyVW.com) on my 2001 MKIV Golf. The new switch had been working fine, but over the last few months, the back windows intermittently wouldn't roll down. It was a gradual process that started when I realized that the windows would actually start to roll back DOWN when I was rolling them UP, or was it vice versa... regardless, it was backwards, and I would have to do it a few times to get it to work properly.
Now, the windows won't roll down at all using the driver's switch, but I do hear a click in the back doors as though some connection is being made. The windows just won't budge. The switches on the back doors work flawlessly, so I don't think it's the motors. The switches for the front windows on the new 4-button switch work fine. There's always a possibility I got a bum switch, or that this one went out, I suppose.
How to reset the window limit on a mk7 golf? I installed power folding mirrors with new modules the passenger side window goes up and down fine but the driver side will only go up half way then does back down like its hitting something.
View 1 RepliesI came back from a vacation of 10 days and tried to start my 2007 Prius and it was not starting when I had the key in my pocket (as it used to before)...The automatic doors, windows etc were not responding as well to the remote...
So I inserted the key physically and it came on with the Malfunction light and then beeped for a few seconds and then that light went away as well...I pressed the on off button to turn off the car...
I ejected the key and then reinserted it and now it is not even showing any indicator light...
I have a 2006 Sonata LX that has a problem with the driver's side power window.
It will either lower and then not come back up, or not lower when the button is pressed.
Most of the time the button is tilted downward.
I replaced my auxiliary battery yesterday and everything was working fine. This morning my driver side window will not close back up. All the other windows are working fine. I drive a 2008 Prius btw with roughly 50000 miles....

View 10 RepliesI have a 2008 Passat and when I put down the back windows there is a horrible window noise. It's not a wind noise like "sswwwhhhh sswwwhhh" it's like a "WOMP WOMP WOMP" and it echos so bad I can't drive.
When I open up a sunroof or crack open a front window the noise disappears...it's the weirdest thing. I love driving with ONLY my back windows down and I can't....
I just got my wagon (2002 used) and noticed that the chrome detailing around the back windows of my wagon were getting really foggy in the super humid weather. What is the solution? Wait for winter? I assume the high humidity is just causing condensation in the plastic/chrome or whatever and when I press my fingers hard to it it goes away (consistent with moisture). Can this be fixed? She is so adorable without these clouds!

View 5 RepliesI have about 5,000 on my 2.5 SEL. Back passenger window seems to make that annoying wind/whistle noise if I get above 20 mph. Even on non windy days it seems loud. I will have them look into it at my 10,000 mile check up.
