I have the leather power seats and they squeak when I move while sitting in it. Gets annoying quick. Not sure if I should take it back to the dealership over such a thing.
View 1 RepliesMy 2012 XLE has about 10,000 miles on it. Today I noticed a scratch on my wifes seat about an inch long. It looked like a black pen mark. Upon close inspection the tan surface of the leather has been scratched off. I wonder how well these seats will wear.
View 11 RepliesI have a 2011 III with leather seats. The car has around 3500 miles and I have noticed the bottom of the seats look wavy and not flat. I wanted to check here before I took it to the dealer to see what they would say, probably that it is "normal". I am afraid the seat will wear faster where the waves are.

View 1 RepliesIn January we bought a 2010 RX 450H with less than 12,000 miles. But 2 months ago noticed a yellowing discoloring on the drivers leather in a few spots. It is the light gray leather. Also some flaking. I had a similar flaking with our 07 ES350. The dealer had their detailer clean the RX drivers leather but now notice it returning and several areas of the coloring flaking off. I've heard they treat any seat imperfections to prep for CPO sale. In fact it looked new when bought. The feel of the drivers leather is also different than all the other seats.
The car still has less than 20,000 miles. This is ridiculous.
I've had an intermittent problem with the driver side power seat not moving back. Can't figure out if its a switch or drive gear.
View 14 RepliesPrius four with heated leather seats noticed especially on the drivers side seat bottom on the side bolster just as you slide in not the center section. I noticed it when new, it looks like a maybe wire between the leather and seat foam.

View 9 RepliesMy 2009 SE V6, I have the grey cloth/leather combo and the drivers seat is pretty much cracking. I am not sure if it is cheap or the unusually cold winters we had here in MD. The car has 28,000. I am going to show to the dealer because in the cracks, the dye is coming off. I had a Trailblazer LTZ for 3 years and never seen that happen but it was tan leather.
Second, my car at higher speeds has a lot of wind noise, I think it is the mirrors. I am going back to the dealer for my 30k gouging soon and I will show them the seat again.
I have read other people having problems with their power seats. Mine is kind of weird, the right side moves, the left doesn't. So when I try to move forward, it moves forward and pivots to toward the left, since only the right side is moving forward on the rail. There is only one motor moving the seat forward and backward right? I am hoping it's just an obstruction on the left railing or something....unless there are two motors moving the seat forward. The lumbar motors are fine, I can move up and down, it's just the seat itself that can't slide forward and backward.
View 2 RepliesMy wife's power drivers seat will only move forward not back. Fuses all look good and the passenger seat operates fine. If this continues and she hits the button again she will need to be shorter than the 5' she is already. No chance at this point I can fit in the car.

So I turn to you, I think you all are familiar with when you press on the break and hit the start button the power seat rolls you into memory 1 (I am the sole driver) well i have noticed that when I do this, my seat moves up about an inch and then pauses while the car literally starts up it then continues to move the chair all the way forward.
Also when i go to lock my car from my keys the chirping confirmation isn't as loud as it once was. its raspy somehow? I was sure if these two things have any correlation but I noticed these two issues together.
I have noticed new drivers seat squeak. It only happens with weight transfer side to side at lower speeds ( hard right and hard left below 30 mph, or entering a driveway). I have looked at several posts and it seems like people have had luck with simply tightening the bolts for the seat.
Well I did that and it still making the noise. I have isolated the noise to the lower part of the seat right behind the molding. Behind the molding and behind the seat control switches there is a white box for the switches. It seems like the noise is coming from there. I noticed that if I pop off the control switches and I loosen the screws for the control switches the noise gets a touch better.
I took it to the dealership and they told me they tried to add some oil between the leather and the molding but it did nothing since the source seems to be behind the molding.
Weird seat heater issue on my 05 TAP/Ecru. Drivers side seat heater tends to fail intermittently after I apply leather care liquid on the seat. Does not happen on the passenger side. In winter, it failed for nearly a week before coming back to life. Yesterday it failed for the evening, then started working again today. Each time right after I applied leather care to the seats. Same amount applied to passenger and driver's seat and the passenger seat is always OK.
What is causing this ? Of course each time I go to the dealer, it is working fine !!!!
Bought this truck (06 F250 cclb diesel) earlier this year and (as far as the seat is concerned) worked perfectly until about 2 weeks or so ago, when I learned that the passenger power seat works in every direction except for to move the seat back. Since every one that got in the truck didn't believe me and now the seat is almost at the glove box I finally decided I should do something about it. I have removed the fuse and let is sit with the the fuse out for about an hour, no change. I had read on another fourm that if you recline the seat back a few times it resets the module, attempted with no change. It is to the point I need to get into a bit more serious diagnostic processes however I am unsure exactly where to start.

View 11 RepliesI have a Jeep Liberty 2002 Sports. When it is cold and the car has been sitting for a while, when I start the car, the steering wheel is locked or hard to move. I have not tried to force it. But it will move if I rev the engine to a certain point. Once I rev the engine I can move the steering wheel again. I have left the car to warm up before revving the engine, but this does not work with the steering, I have to rev the engine in order to "unlocked" the wheel.
View 7 RepliesI have a 2007 Prius IV and recently experienced the following:
a. I can't open door by just pulling handle nor lock all doors by depressing door button. I must use the UNLOCK/LOCK feature on the FOB
b. I can't start the car remotely while sitting in driver's seat. FOB must be inserted in slot to start car.
c. I have strong mini-RED light indication on my FOB which should indicate proper battery power.
The middle sliding seat has jammed and I cannot get it back into the regular sitting position. I don't see any obvious obstructions, but there are a couple of springs not attached, and I may be missing a connecting rod.
Any pictures of how a "normal" mechanism should look like?
Annoying and embarrassing squeak in driver's seatback when I lean forward and then sit back. Car has only 46000 km. on it, and is only 2 1/2 years old. Will point out to the dealer at next visit.
