Check this out, I was driving on a road trip yesterday 300 mile round tripper and just one time the rear passenger window went down on its own. Freaked me out for a second and then had me worrying it would do it again but never did, just a glitch or ghost in the machine I guess but I didn't like it.
View 3 RepliesThe window actuator/motor is running and going up and down but the window isn't. I am thinking the clip/hardware that attaches the window to the track has broken. My issue is getting to it. Ive had the door panel off but cant figure out getting to the area.
View 1 RepliesMy 2013 has developed a rattle. The rear window visor (outside) on passenger side is loose - or loosening up... and rattles a lot when driving, which is very annoying.... Took a quick look to see how this thing is held into place, not quite sure what's best way to take it apart...
View 1 RepliesSo last night I go to pick up my daughter and the doors are unlocked but her door won't open. I try from the outside and no luck. I get in the back on the driver's side and the lock button is on. I open the door with some difficulty and it opens. It's been fine since.
Today I tried to open that window and the window wouldn't open from my console or from the rear passenger side switch.
My buddy just picked up a 2007 passat 2.0t. Upon bringing it home and locking it we noticed the horn didn't beep indicating an active alarm. I discovered the rear passenger door wasn't locking, and when opening it, even though the alarm was activated, the alarm didn't go off. The door unlock/lock switch as well as the window switch both aren't working. Can't open the window from the driver's door switch either.
I'm guessing it's probably something to do with the power to the door since it's completely unresponsive. Where would we be able to check if power is going to the door? Also, since the alarm doesn't go off when opened is there a sensor somewhere that says when the door is open and or locked?
Its strange but since the other day the rear right window comes down sporadically when I push the window button on the driver console. When it does come down I am able to get it back up but when it closes all the way thats when it doesn't want to come back down. There is a tree sap problem where I live that gets all over the car. I'm wondering if the sap particles are having an effect on the ability to lower the window. When the window is stuck all the way up I can hear the motor in the door.
View 5 RepliesRear passenger window will only go up. I tried new motor, same problem, swapped switch with other back door the problem stayed on the same side. Drivers main switch to that rear window does same thing, up but not down.
View 12 RepliesTook Phaeton in late Thursday afternoon, because rear pax window suddenly stuck down (regulator popped/exploded). Because I wanted to drive her to Las Vegas on Sunday, Sep 5, I asked my dealer if the window regulator was not available to be installed before my trip, if they could reset the window to its upright position (closed). The service writer said that this may not be possible, that the window could slip down... The mechanic reset the window up and I was allowed to retrieve my Phaeton, so I can drive it to Las Vegas tomorrow. I'll take it back to dealer when I return (a bit richer?)
Question: driving a long distance with the window up, but the window regulator broken?
My concern: the window will fall and I have no real way to get it back up. With temps running over 100 degrees every day of my trip, I do not want that window down. I have taped the window buttons (driver door and broken window regulator door) so they cannot be accidentally used..
So my rear passenger window (4-door) won't "auto-down" anymore. Still goes up and down manually just fine. Easy fix at the dealership?
View 6 RepliesJust replaced the rear window regulator/motor assemblies on both doors. The cable guided regulator just worn out. Now the passenger side rear window will not lower at either the drivers rocker switch or the rear rocker switch. I did check for voltage at the motor connection (two wire) and have 12.4 V when raise is depressed, but 0 V when lower is selected.

It will not go up at all by its dedicated switch or master switch. i can hear the motor when pressed down but refuses to go up. master switch is most likely the culprit (it has serious issues) & i'm still waiting for replacement to arrive in mail..
For the time being, what are my options, I can't take car anywhere with window all the way down.
I have a 2002 Chevy Malibu. The passenger rear power window wont go up or down. Other windows are fine. I push the buttons from the rear door and the main control from the drivers door and nothing happens. I don't hear the window motor or anything going on while I push those buttons. I opened up the door panel and window regulator and motor seem fine. Connectors seem fine also.

View 3 RepliesI have a 2006 f150 extended cab and the rear passenger window stopped rolling up one day. I ordered a replacement regulator and installed it. It still doesn't work and I tested then switch in the door and it seems to be working still. The window itself does not seem to be caught on anything either.

View 5 RepliesI am looking at buying a 2004 Lariat and everything works beautifully on the truck with one exception, the passenger rear window. When the switch is pressed it not only doesn't move but there are no signs that the motor or regulator are working. The salesman grabbed the window and proceeded to say it was probably just "stuck". The window moves up and down about 1/4-1/2 an inch almost like it is not bolted to the track. Seeing as how I am new to this vehicle are there any common issues?

View 3 RepliesI have a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport, and to remove the rear passenger window. The car is a two door, and the passenger windows are the smaller "flap" out style. I was able to remove the two torx screws on the hinge itself, but the glass portion is held in some sort of bracket, and I'm having trouble removing that.
View 3 RepliesMy back right passenger window won't go down, it just makes a noise like its trying, you can pull the window down, and then it goes up electrically about half the time, otherwise you have to manually pull it up.
View 6 RepliesAll of a sudden the rear right passenger window doesn't stay closed, it goes all the way up and then it goes down half way. It doesn't matter which switch I use, the driver's side or the passenger side. All the other windows go up as soon as you toggle the switch automatically up and stay up.
View 4 RepliesI was driving down I-35 when all of a sudden I heard a loud boom sound and realized my rear driver passenger side window shattered and I was smelling a burning smell. I drove the vehicle directly to Don Ringler Service Station but they showed no concern or interest in looking into the issue and was told I would need to repair the vehicle at my own expense and never bothered to look into the burning smell issue.
