All of a sudden the rear right passenger window doesn't stay closed, it goes all the way up and then it goes down half way. It doesn't matter which switch I use, the driver's side or the passenger side. All the other windows go up as soon as you toggle the switch automatically up and stay up.
View 4 RepliesHaving problems with my rear power liftgate on my 2011 LX570.. When it is open if I press the close button on the rear door it closes then beeps twice and opens up again. Every thing is clear by the door jam and all of the pieces look fine (nothing bent). When I close the door manually I can hear the lock cycle so that is engaging.
This feels like an electronic problem. The button on the dash and on the key fob only work intermittently to open the door and neither will close it. Yes the rear door off button is not engaged either.
I have a 2007 4 door Sonata with an electric rear passenger window that will not stay up. I will need to remove the door panel to get to the problem. Any video, or a step by step procedure that would guide to remove the door panel and possibly repair the window?
View 3 RepliesOn my 2007 Lexus ES350, the front passenger window does not stay up.
Using either the driver's switch or the passenger door switch, the window rolls up to the top, then comes back down (the other three windows work fine).
With deft manipulation of the switch, I can get it almost closed.
The only recent 'event' on the car is that I changed the eight year-old OEM battery two weeks ago; the window began acting up two days ago.
Is this programming that was lost when the battery was removed, or am I looking a regulator/pinch motor issue?
I've gone thru the owners manual that shows the options I can preset via the display audio (don't have nav) and I don't see where it is possible to turn off the beep when the rear hatch is opened/closed. Is this possible?
View 5 Replies20th Anniversary sat for 2 months and battery was flat when I went to start it today. I jumped it and got it running. However, when I went to close the hatch it will not stay latched. The latch on the hatch is hitting the striker on the lip of the trunk, but it just won't stay shut. Is any part of the latching mechanism electronically or vacuum operated?
View 4 RepliesWhen I close the passenger door with the window down the glass of the window makes a noise like it is hitting metal. The noise is the loudest when the window is all the way down and becomes less loud gradually the further the window is up when the door is closed. It does not make the noise at all when the window is all the way up.
Found a few websites that illustrates how to remove the door panel but that seems to give you access to the window motor not the window itself.
Passenger window just stopped working in closed position. Neither driver's or passenger's switch would operate it. Was told it was probably the motor. Replaced regulator and motor. Window went up from half way down position using driver's side switch, then back to not functioning at all. Window lock button off. Also, now the auto up/down for driver's window not working, needs to be depressed or lifted for open/close. Guess old motor and regulator were ok.

View 5 RepliesThe driver and front pax headrest won't stay up on my '11 GX. They have the RSES installed. I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but it seems odd that both headrests would experience the same problem. When I raise them, they just fall right down to the lowest position with a thunk.
If I wiggle the passenger one, sometimes it will stay up. It looks like there are a couple of plastic bushings that aren't seated properly, but when I push them down, they just ride up again when I raise the headrest.
I'll take it to the dealer next week, as this should be covered under warranty, but I'd like to know if this is a known issue and if there is anything I can do to prevent it from happening again.
I just purchased my first Lexus (very exciting!) But one puzzling issue I've noticed and not sure what the problem is, if it's me or my vehicle. The back cargo cover wont' stay closed. It keeps popping out/up and opening. Quite annoying already and I only had it a few days. Subsequently, it's not hiding a thing in the back.

View 2 RepliesI bought my GS new and it has 40K miles now. It is a 2010 GS AWD. Yesterday I get off work, a hot day, I get in the car, started the car, and passenger front window rolled down by it self. I tried to rolled it back up and it would not go up. I shut the car off and re-started and was able to roll it up.
I thought maybe it was the heat. The next day it happened again, but this time while I was driving. There are no funny noises coming from in side the door and no water has ever gotten in there. I also never leave the windows cracked instead I raise the sun roof up for heat to escape. I find this very odd self-operating window. The rest of the windows work just fine.
Battery has never been disconnected. what may be causing this window to operate on its own? a lose wire maybe?

I'm half-way mechanical... OK , maybe 1/4. It appears that the blades themselves are not replaceable; only the refill (squeegee) portion is. is this correct?
Front-drivers-side actually looks like the complete blade may come off, but it's not obvious how it releases.
The rear appears to have no way to easily remove the complete blade.
Awhile back I did get my battery replaced and I did reset my windows so they could be used from the driver side panel. As of now, I can roll down all of them from the driver side except for the passenger side rear (window diagonal from driver). The window does roll down from the door itself so the window isn't broken. The light on the driver window switch is lit green, not blinking. However, the light on the window switch on the passenger door is NOT lit and not blinking either. And yes, I did make sure the window lock was not on.
Could the switch, either passenger or driver door, be bad? Should the battery be disconnected and reconnected??
I used my rear windshield wiper for the first time today. Noticed that the back windshield wiper doesn't clean off the back window close enough to the horizontal bar going across the Prius V hatch? I have about 2-3 inches of dew remaining above the back hatch bar, which 'happens' to be the exact height of my eyes (I'm 6').

AC Blowing out of the vent is cold but the rear seats passenger feels warm.
Even with the blower on the higher and temp on the lowest 65 (or lowest setting).
I put my hand towards the rear seat and I feel warm air. Near the vents are cool but its like the AC can't keep up with the heat ?

I recently purchased a GS350 from auction, thought it ran and drove, got it home, the car had a blown motor. it was an insurance scam from what i gathered. well, car is running and driving now, everything works great not a single warning light on the dash, but i do have a problem with the power windows.
The pass side front and rear windows wont go down, the seat memory doesn't work, and the window switches are flashing... i tried reprogramming them as one of the posts said by lowering the window half way etc that's fine but my pass side window wont go down at all. all fuses check out. and my sunroof works like it should. does this sound like a Module inside the door issue?
