Phaeton :: AC Shut Down / Air Flow Remained Constant Except Temp From All Vents Went Tropical

Yesterday the temp was at 97F and the air conditioning shut down (air flow remained constant except temp from all vents went tropical). The car was moving at 70mph on level ground in light traffic and not in a city. Stopped and ran a few 'reboot cycles' (turning ignition on and off in three minute intervals with the key out of range) with no luck. The next day the air worked OK - not great - but it was working and the problem returned after one hour of operation. Am I describing a refrigerant level problem or are the electron gods just angry at me for driving in a heat wave?

Phaeton :: KESSY Replacement - Key Remained Stuck On The Ignition

I just bought this 2004, and I'm having issues with it

My Phaeton v8 won't start at all after doing my research it seem to be the typical wet KESSY issue. Fine I went ahead and matched the KESSY part # ordered a replacement from a used 04 Porsche Cayenne S.

While replacing the bad KESSY my negative on the battery was disconnected, and my key remained stuck on the ignition, I've plugged in the battery and saw dash lights come up then they turned off.

At this time, I was able to get my key out of the ignition (I guess the KESSY replacement is working normally) as I was not able to get my key back.

So I guess my kessy needs to get re-programmed to start my car as well my keys I do have a vag-com as well but don't know how to proceed there a way to Program my keys and kessy or I need to go to the dealer?

I just want to start this car and drive it I don't want to get stuck in this process if there no way to do it myself.

Passat (B7) :: 2014 TDI - No Air Flow Out Of Vents

Just started happening this weekend, I can hear air moving and it changes speeds, however I get no flow out of the vents.

I'm at 42k so I'm hoping it isn't a major issue, also tried searching but couldn't find a similar issue. I am pressed for time because I'm leaving for a 2500 mile round trip Wednesday.

I'll add a photo of the controls where I get zero air flow, minus some cold air.

Touareg :: Minimal Air Flow From Vents?

Problem since new but now I am in cold climate. Seems like there is minimal air flow from vents even if I will set fan to max.. . Dealer does not believe. On the parking flow is present but during driving 70-80 just minimal. I hear the rumble of the fan but air does not come out. Temp setting may be set to 85 but temp inside the car is not above high 60's. I can only survive using heated seats.

Subaru - Forester :: 2003 - Low Air Flow Through Vents

I have a 2003 Forester that has low air flow thru the vents if you try to use the AC or heater.

If you turn the speed from 1-4 you can hear the blower fan turning faster but the air coming out of the vents is very low. YOu can hardly feel it. I checked to see if there was a cabin filter and there was none.

Even though you can barely feel the air coming out, when on AC the air feels cold and when on heat it feels hot.

Prius (2010-12) :: No Air Flow From The Vents After Car Wash

I took my Prius Two to its first car wash today, afterwards, the air flow from the vents became minimal, almost non-existent. How could this be? The car is barely two months old. Prior to the car wash, I had the AC and air blasting to the highest, I didn't change any fan settings, and now there's barely any air coming out. I can hear the fans churning and running, but there's no air!!! Do I take it to the dealer?

Passat (B5) :: 2002 - No Air Flow From Floor Vents

Have a 02 with climatronic. You put it on vent and it blows out the vent. You press floor and it goes ape and the fan goes to max and nothing comes out the vents and nothing comes out the floor. IF you put it on floor only there is flow like normal. You can not have it on floor and vent. I drove 2 other passats and they both allow floor and vent. Havent been able to check codes because car has been at dealer for a week.

I have a 2005 F250 with an intermittent AC problem. I had noticed over the past year that I only had high or low fan when adjusting my AC. Recently my AC has intermittently just not started blowing any air when I turn it on. When this occurs, I can put the fan on high and hear the clutch engage, however no air flow comes from the vents. Grand Prix :: Stuck / Broke As Air Flow Blows Through All Vents

I have a grand prix and am having problems with the air flow. I think that the diverter is stuck/broke as air flow blows through all vents (defroster, 4 dash vents and floor). When I turn the switch that tells where the air to blow out, nothing happens. In the summer, the A/C works but since it comes out the floor vent my toes get cold. Does this sound like the diverter is stuck? Is there a way I could make the diverter only come out the dash vents? The car has 180K miles and I don't want to invest much money to fix this (i.e. taking to dealer).

Prius (2004-09) :: Flow Rate Of The Air Out Of Vents Noticeably Dropped

Today the flow rate of the air out of the vents on my Prius has noticeably dropped.

It makes no different which vents I select (front, feet, or windscreen).

The blower seems fine - it's still making its normal noise.

The air still blows out nice and cold, there just isn't much of it coming out, even on full blast.

I've pulled the cabin air filter and checked it's not clogged, so it seems like there must be a blockage downstream of the blower.

Toyota - Camry :: 1997 - Air Flow From Heater Stuck On Front Vents

I have a 1997 Toyota Camry and recently the air flow from the heater has become stuck on the front vents. Regardless of what setting I turn the switch to (defrost, floor, etc.) it doesn't switch from the vents. It seemed to happen about the same time the thermostat died, which I had to replace (successfully I think).

I looked under the hood for a vacuum hose that might be disconnected (guessing) and under the dash for a wire that might have come loose or disconnected, but to no avail. I am guessing that some part on the heater has stopped working and needs replaced, but I haven't a clue as to which one...hopefully one that won't require pulling the dash off.

Pontiac - Bonneville :: 1999 - Air Flow Split Between Defrost And Dash Vents?

When the A/C is on in this car, the air flow is split between the defrost vents and the dash vents. I have read it may be a vacuum leak but don't know specifically where to look for it. Is there any way to manually redirect the air flow? Where to look for a vacuum leak? The air is cool but just misdirected.

My 02 Mountaineer doesn't have any air flow volume out of the heat, defrost, or a/c vents. The temp will change from hot to cold and the air direction will also change from floor, dash, windshield, etc. The a/c recirculation door also seems to be working. The fan sounds as it is running very fast, just not putting out any volume. What should I look for?

Lexus LS 2007+ :: Music Gone / Constant Chirping Sounds - No Air On Left Vents

Last night I was driving home and my music was gone. All I hear was the constant chirping sounds and there is NO WAY to turn it off. I ended up pulling out the 30amp fuse under the pass side to turn it off. Sounds like the amplifier failed.

Driving to work ...I noticed the left (driver side) air vents are not following any air.

The two vents on the passenger side are working fine..but not the two on the driver side. Yeah I played with the settings, turned it on/off, Hi/Low air, close/open vents..nothing worked. What's going on with the air vent?

Honda - Cr-v :: Temp Gauge Fluctuates With Air Vent Flow?

I have a 2001 Honda CR-V SE, and I'm having a little trouble with it ... About a week ago I noticed that as I was driving around the city, my temp gauge was going up and down. I had the heat on, and when I was pressing the gas, the gauge would go down. When I coasted, the gauge would go back up to the middle. The gauge never went higher than the halfway point. I thought it was possible that my fluids were low, so I checked the coolant reservoir. It was empty, so I added some. The radiator itself was full to the lip (like the manual says it should be, if I interpreted it correctly). The first day or two, didn't notice anything, but then the gauge seemed to start falling again.

Anyhow, I decided to drive back to the big city to get it fixed, a 3 hr drive, last night. The car seemed to be operating fine. I did not have the heat on, but there was air flowing through the vents. The gauge started to creep downward, so I thought "Hey, let me hit that button that closes the vents" I did that, and the gauge creeped back up! Problem solved right? Negative! It was raining, so when that button was on too long, my windows got foggy. So that's how I spent the next two hours, button on, button off, then I finally just opened the windows to allow the air to circulate. In the meantime, I stopped for gas, allowed the car to idle for a while (no air/heat blowing at all) and the guage didn't move. It stayed in the middle.

Closer to the end of my trip the gauge started to creep upward, over the midpoint (The first time it's done that since this whole thing has started). Once off the highway, I turned the heat on that first notch, and the gauge went back down to normal.

At any rate, so it's Wednesday. I'm planning on getting the car to a shop on Friday, but in the meantime, I just wanted to get some info out there from the community. I'm pretty nervous about whats going to happen. I just had my car at an oil change place 5 days ago, and the guy didn't put the oil cap back on the engine, so I literally was driving for 3 days with oil spewing onto my hood (Checked the levels by the way and they were fine). The only way I would've known is that I opened the hood to check the coolant levels. I noticed the gauge issue last Wed, took it in for the oil change Friday (In which they said all my fluids were fine), checked the coolant Monday, and drove it 3hrs last night.

Are there any specific keywords I should mention to the mechanic for him/her to check?

Passat (B5) :: Constant Vibration From Start Up To Shut Down

I have a 2000 Passat 1.8T and I am having a weird "harmonic" (for lack of a better word) vibration that is constant from start up to shut down, I just had the motor mounts replaced and the chain tensor replaced, I have 125K the car. Tires are new as of April and I have had this issue long before then. I have also noticed randomly the idle goes kind of physco for a few seconds here and there - not sure if the two are related.
