From time to time, I get Check please lights message on the instrument cluster. I found that the small bulb that protrudes vertically inside the passenger side high-beam lens, works intermittently.
Is there a write- up how to replace this bulb, and the p/n?
On my 2007 SC 430 I have a passenger headlight that appears to have a mind of its own. It works intermittently. I know that it is programmed to go off when the car is in park, but that is not what I'm talking about. When I start the car after dark both sides will be on but at some point the passenger side will go out, not all the time, but quite often. I have checked for loos wires but have not found any.

I want to get rid off the halogen bulbs and use after market xenon bulbs to replace them. What brand is the best and what do I need to be careful with? Also what size are the bulbs? I have the NAR headlights. I don't have the dual xenon headlights.
View 1 Replies About 2 or so weeks ago, I picked up an .:R for a STEAL! I don't have all that much to complain about (because let's face it, it's an R32 ...) but I have noticed a few issues with it that I am hoping are related.
During one car ride I needed to charge my phone, but unfortunately the 12v port doesn't work (I checked all of the side panel fuses and even changed the whole jack, nothing). Another issue that I noticed, was that the passenger door lock intermittently works... sometimes it will work, and other times I have to unlock the door by opening it from the inside. On those freak occasions when it does work, than the driver's door lock won't work... That being irritating in itself, tonight I went to pop the hatch, and it wouldn't unlock! I had to put the key in to open it... that was the first time that I had encountered this issue...
My question is, could all of these issues be related somehow? I highly doubt that all of the lock modules are faulty.The PO did have a record about having the issue checked by the dealership, but they couldn't recreate it.
I have yellow tinted fog lights on my Camry, but they weren't a dark enough yellow for me, so I decided to install some yellow Nokya 2500k bulbs as well. They seem to have installed fine, but the driver side bulb shines a lot brighter than the passenger side one:
View 6 RepliesDriving to work this morning my 'please check lights' warning came on and sure enough my drivers side side light bulb seems to have failed.
Trying to look via search and many threads to see how much work is involved to replace this tiny bulb. The car is due a service shortly and i could get the VW dealer to sort this out but is this going to be something daft like 3hours labour/bumper removal or is it an easy DIY?
This is the first thing to 'fail' in 2.5 years of owenership and not one that needs immediate remedy but would like to sort it out. Presumably i can buy the bulb cheaply enough from VW or Halfords as its not HID etc.
Fairly new to the ex. I just picked her up from the stealership last night, I'm in love! It's an 05 limited, v10, 71k. Loaded. Still tryin to figure out all the bells and whistles. It has one issue, I think it's minor, the drivers side power seat works intermittently, heat and movement. Being an electrician I believe it's probably a bad connection.

View 5 RepliesI just picked up my first B5 and noticed an issue when I got it home. I know that I'm supposed to be able to put the key in the drivers door and hold it in the lock position and it should close the windows and sunroof. It works if I do it on the passenger side, but not in the drivers door. I also can't unlock/lock all the doors from the drivers door either. I'm thinking it might be a vacuum problem, but not sure how the inside of the Passat doors looks.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2005 prius. The low beam bulb on the passenger side had a flash the other day and wouldn't be turned on any more. I changed bulb, fuse. It still doesn't work. The high beam on this side and the low and high beam on the other side are fine. I noticed the socket to this bulb is kind of fried. I check the voltage. It shows zero.
View 4 RepliesI have 04 Passat and my passenger side fog light bulb keeps blowing up I had to replace it 4 times already. Same thing happened when I upgraded to PIAA H3 yellow bulbs as well. I checked all connections, wiring and everything looks ok.

View 2 RepliesI am having a lighting issue in my ex with my passenger side headlight. when i first purchased the vehicle last august the headlight burnt out. i replaced it no big deal. it worked just fine for about 6 months and i have now replaced the bulb 3 times since. the last two times the bulb worked for about 20 minutes then went very dull. Now nothing. when i pulled this last bulb out saw a charged/burnt look to the vehicle side of the plug. What is going on and how i can fix it?

View 2 RepliesI just recently got a 2001 1.8t jetta. It was leaking coolant and only one fan would come on. Ive fixed the coolant leak. Only the passenger side fan comes on, and the AC blows hot as well. Ive checked the fuses on the battery and they are good.

View 1 RepliesI just replaced (or almost replaced) the bulb on the passenger side of my 2008 prius. It is a HID bulb. I got the old one out, the new one in and connected and verified it is working. Now trying to get the cover back on that provides the weather proofing and unless im wrong... the braided wire that connects to the back of the bulb is in the way. It looks like it has to go thru the opening that the cover is supposed to seal... Imagine a rope hanging over the edge of a bucket you are trying to put a cover on... Am i wrong here? did I miss something?
