I have a 2006 Prius and the rear hatch washer fluid sprayer does not spray (wipers work fine). The front window fluid sprayer works fine and I'm told that they work off of the same motor/fuse and reservoir.
View 4 RepliesThe outlet holes do not appear to be blocked and I cannot hear a pump motor running when trying to clean the rear window. Is there a separate pump to supply fluid to the rear window?
View 3 RepliesCurios problem with my car. When I spray washer fluid quickly the wipers do not start. I can literally empty litres of fluid on the windshield and they still will not activate. Now on other cars I have had you can play chicken and pull quickly on the lever and this I can do a off a couple of times without activating the wipers but not constantly. I had it in for service and the mechanic said he has never seen this problem before and does not even know how to fix it. It does get annoying that you have to waste a lot more fluid to activate the wipers "auto" function by holding it on a few seconds longer than needed.

View 2 RepliesI have an '08 Lux wagon with rain sensing wipers and automatic headlights. When I spray the windshield with washer fluid, the wipers don't come on to wipe it away. This occurred today, and the wipers would not activate no matter what position I put the control stalk in. Then, after a few seconds, they came on and cleared the windshield. I have not noticed any other issues with the wipers. What might be going on here?

View 3 Replies05 Chrysler T&C washer spray will only work with hood up and the hood down but not locked. Once locked the washer spray will not work. I tried crimping the small hose front left that that I thought might be the washer sprayer supply but the spray still worked with the hood up.

Will adding some vinegar to the fluid and see if it will unclog?
Or does this just mean that my pump is giving up?

My windshield wiper spray doesn't work. The juice just kind of sputters out, it doesn't shoot out. The tank is full, and the rear-window wiper nozzle works fine. What are some things I can do to troubleshoot this?
View 2 RepliesTroubleshooting the wiper fluid spray system in my 2007 Prius. So today, after the big winter storm here in New York, I had to go out and run some errands. Everything was working fine, used the wiper fluid spray a few times during my drive to keep my windshield clear. When I was about to get home, I tried to spray the windshield one last time, but no fluid came out. Also tried the rear sprayer and no fluid came out of there either. The first thing I did when I get home is to check the wiper fluid reservoir, and there is plenty of wiper fluid in there.
I can hear the pumps whirr when I tried to activate the wiper fluid spray, (tried both front and back, both have the pump whirring sounds), but no fluids sprayed out.
I'm thinking maybe something got clogged in the wiper fluid spraying system somewhere. Is this something I can try to fix myself?
A weird problem occurred today on my 07 with 61000 miles, with no accidents or electrical problems before. When i pull the right stalk towards me to activate the front wiper washers, the rear washer turns on, and nothing at all comes out of the front washers, but the front wipers would still wipe several times as they normally would when front washers are activated.
View 6 Replies2015 SFS 2.0T was oil sprayed at Krown 3 weeks ago, since then have developed a clunk in the rear end when reversing out of our driveway or at city speeds going over bumps. Google search came back with possibly oil spray on leaf springs as culprit? I have removed everything from the rear cargo area, also looked high and low, driven with hatch open and closed and also sat back there and had wife drive around....can't figure it out....

View 2 RepliesI went to use my windshield washer the other day and no spray came out. The wipers did operate normally, which left me almost unable to see out of the now streaked and dirty windshield.
When I looked under the hood, the reservoir was very low. When I filled it today, it began leaking almost immediately. I crawled underneath and removed some of the plastic underbodies, but could not find where it was coming from. I guess it could be rodents chewing the hoses.
i have a 2006 prius with 110k on it and a few days ago all the warning lights started coming on (check engine, vsc, red triangle, (!) ) this morning the car was completely dead so i replaced the 12v battery and it startedup fine and the lights all went away. i drove a few miles to work and the lights came back on and the rear ac will not shut off. it just keeps blowing full blast and the engine will not cut out at idle like it normally does. im assuming this is because it is trying to power that rear ac.

I pulled it off and took some pictures....It seems like there might be something missing, or is it just that the plastic round things are chipped and thus, the spoiler recesses are not grabbing on? It looks like the round plastic things are riveted in, which I assume will make it difficult to replace.....

I replaced the rear drum brakes, wheel cylinders, and bled the brakes. I discovered on drivers side, that no matter how much bleeding, the brake does not engage on the rear drivers side. While bleeding, I discovered very little pressure. The brake light, VSC, ABS, and ! lights remain lit while the cars on. Does this sound like a master cylinder or ABS failure? Can the autoenginuity scan this issue?
