Prius (2004-09) :: Doesn't Respond To Key Fob

So, just overnight, suddenly the car doesn't respond to my key fob. When I press the button on the fob the little red light lights up, so the battery works. I open the car by using the old school physical key and get in. The car refuses to start up until I try to put the fob in its slot, and then it starts like normal. What could this be? I tried checking other threads, but they were all about the fob being out of battery or broken, which doesn't seem to be the case here, as I tried both my two fobs and neither work.

Prius (2004-09) :: 2007 Passenger Airbag Sensor Does Not Respond

My 2007 airbag sensor does not respond to a weight of 20 pounds or more, it continues to read "off". The dealer said the problem is in the female end of the seat belt; however, the seat belt sensor works perfectly. It sounds like the wrong diagnosis to me.

Prius (2004-09) :: 2007 - Touch Screen Monitor Alternates Every 10 - 15 Seconds Between Diagnostic Mode And Regular Display

I had my 07 prius detailed today and it looks real nice BUT, I started it up afterwards and the touchscreen was in diagnostic mode and the warning lights on the dash were acting up. The warning lights seem to be OK now except that the tire pressure indicator flickers like it is partially shorted. The issue with the touch screen is that it alternates every 10-15 seconds between diagnostic mode and the regular display but only when the ICE is running. If I am just sitting in shutdown idle ( like at a stop light) it behaves fine.

Mazda :: 2005 - When Accelerating It Doesn't Respond Effectively

My 2005 RX 8 has been a great car. However, in the past 1.5 years, when I accelerate it doesn't "jump on it' like it used to. It will eventually get up to the speed I desire, but she has lost her quickness.

Prius (2004-09) :: 2007 - Driver Side HID Cuts Out After A Few Minutes Of Being On

I've got a 2007 Prius Touring and have been experiencing that well-documented issue with the HID. Namely, the driver side cuts out after a few minutes of being on. If I flip the lights off and on again it will come back, but will inevitably go out again.

Last summer, I removed the assembly and dumped out about a half a cup of water, and drilled a small hole to create air circulation to dry it out completely. That didn't solve the problem so I did more research. I just replaced the ballast (which was corroded as hell), and that didn't solve the problem either (to my great disappointment). I found a salvage yard that has the whole assembly from a 2008, and I'm about to try that. If even that doesn't work, then I guess it has to be a shoddy power supply from the car, correct? And, in this situation, what can be done, if anything?

All I've been able to find are folks who replaced the ballast, or who fell into the extended warranty period that Toyota so graciously enacted back in 2011 (needless to say, my car does not meet their criteria anymore).

Azera TG (2006-11) :: Shake And Stall / Car Doesn't Respond To The Gas Pedal

Friday night my car is fine. Sunday, after some wintry weather, I start the car and it shakes and stalls out. I start it again and notice the check engine light and the ESC light is on and the car doesn't respond to the gas pedal. No response to hitting the ESC light. Runs rough like it was 25 years old. I limp around the block and decide not to drive it. I hope it's a really simple inexpensive computer chip replacement....

Prius (2004-09) :: 2007 AC Doesn't Always Blow Air After Hitting Start Button

Sometimes when I hit the start button it takes a couple of minutes for the AC to start blowing air. I even tried stopping and shutting off and restarting but it still took a few minutes to start blowing. It doesn't do this all the time just every now and then.

Subaru - Outback :: Keyless Entry No Longer Working - Car Doesn't Respond At All

All of the sudden the remote to my 2009 Subaru Outback stopped working. The car doesn't respond at all. I mentioned this when I had the car in for service and they tested my remote. They detected a signal that it was sending out so that means something is wrong on the car side and the remote appears to be functioning fine. Unfortunately I only have 1 remote (bought the car used). I didn't have them look any further into it because they admitted that they don't know what the problem could be and it would take time to investigate.

Golf/GTI VI :: Touch Screen Doesn't Light Up But Works?

My touch screen doesn't light up. It works perfectly fine, in fact you can still touch the screen and it works. The problem is it remains black. Wondering if maybe its a blown fuse...

This is when it happened. I was going to a hockey game, and it was about -25C out. I parked underground where it was probably +5C and humid. Worked fine going in, but after the hockey game when I turned on my car the screen wouldn't light up. There was certainly a lot of condensation in my car (maybe more than is normal), but I attributed this to the radical change in temperature. Moisture had gather on the inside of my front window, as well as around the sun roof, and some even dripped out of the reading light!

Maybe some water got into the system and fried the screen? But then why does the touch part still work?

Prius (2004-09) :: Brakes Jerky And Unreliable - Initially Does Not Respond When Applied

2004 Prius (123,000 miles). For the second time in a month, while driving, the brakes have suddenly gone funny (for lack of a better word). When I first apply the brakes to slow the car, it initially does not respond, then, as I continue to gradually depress the brake pedal, the car will begin to jerk as if I am slamming on the brakes repeatedly.

Just before this symptom begins, the brake system warning lights and master warning light come on.

The first time this happened, I took it to a shop (not Toyota-specific) and they found that my floor mat had slid forward and folded and was under the brake pedal touching the wires. When they removed the floor mat, the problem went away. I threw out the floor mat and have been driving without one.

Today, the same thing happened again, with nothing obstructing the brake pedal.

Prius (2004-09) :: Touch Screen Calibration Is Off

The touch screen calibration is off. I have to push areas about 1/2 inch above the true area to get response. I've tried the power button/lights on off to get to the diagnosis screen but it first goes to the system check screen. At that point the menu button in upper right is inaccessible because the area needed to be touched is above that beyond the screen area. Is there another way to get to the diagnosis menu to ultimately get to the touch screen calibration?

Prius (2004-09) :: Touch Screen Work Intermittently?

I have a 2009 Prius with 65,000 miles and have recently noticed sensitivity trouble with the touch screen. At times it will not react to my button presses and other times if I touch one part of the screen the touch will be registered in another area of the screen. Usually I turn the screen off (if I am able to get the touch of the off button to register) and restart later.

Passat (B6) :: 2007 2.0T - Flashing Lights / Fob Won't Respond

I have a 2007 Passat with 60K on it and all maintenance kept up. Oil changes every 5K and all service done by a VW dealer. The car worked great yesterday when I drove it to the store but today its not responding at all. The car lights (parking in the rear only) and dash lights are flashing like a strobe and the car won't respond to the key fob. I don't have my blade key so I can't get access to the car. I suspect if I could disconnect the battery it would reset but I can't pop the hood without getting in the car.

Santa Fe (CM - 2007-12) :: Climate Control Sensor Seem Slow To Respond

Heating comes up very well although air flow at the feet isn't very high but adequate. However, I notice once the cabin is warmed and it reverts to keeping it at the set temperature. I never sense it coming back on to heat again and air output feels cool.

The following doesn't reactive it into the typical heat output as when I get into a cold vehicle.

- going out to fill up for gas with doors opening etc with engine off then leaving is still a very cool output and no further warming appears to take place
- loading shopping from purchases does not seem too cool the sensor enough while engine is still running
- even while driving setting it another .5C higher does not make a difference once its cycle off the main heat mode.

Where is the SF sensor located for the internal system and is this slow response normal. How much of a drop in temperature does it need to pump at lease warm air. I'll have to experiment further I guess and adjust full degree increments until I get a response. I am comfortable most of the time but I don't like cool air blowing at me through the vents in the winter.
