Past couple of weeks, when i drive car 45+ speed,I can hear wind sound from inside car even after closing all windows , i am getting sounds from next to driver seat upper side speakers, I tried 4 to 5 repair shops in mira mesa(san diego).
View 14 RepliesThe wife's 2008 Prius has apparently been collecting water on the driver side (front and back) floors for some time. Allegedly, it doesn't have to be raining, or even wet outdoors at all for it to accumulate. The fluid is not engine coolant or windshield washer fluid; clear, colorless, and tasteless (yeah, I did taste it) liquid, totally saturating, and partially filling the floor pans on the left side, while leaving the area directly under the driver seat dry. There seems to be some dampness on the passenger rear carpet, but it's nothing like the driver's side. The undercarriage has plastic shielding of some sort covering the areas of the floor where the water has built up, so I can't immediately see any drain plugs, or holes where water may be coming in. Before I start tearing things apart, I thought I would run the strange problems through the forum, and see what you all might come up with. I've seen some reports of possible A/C drain issues in the passenger front floor, but this is definitely left side. Oh, yeah....there's a stink along with it, but I'm assuming that may be mold caused by the standing water, or something totally unrelated; but I thought it bore mentioning.
View 19 RepliesI've recently purchased a used 2007 toyota prius. (My 2nd prius, I also have a 2004). The driver side speaker does not play. The tweeter on that side does work, so I initially assumed it was a bad speaker, however, when I took it to my local car audio shop to get replaced he tested the speaker and it did, indeed work. He suggested I get toyota to look at it to see if it's the head unit or the wiring. It seems really weird to me that one speaker in the door would work if it was, indeed, the head unit.

What is the procedure to remove the Driver's side Rear Sway Bar Link upper bolt? - the link attaches to the frame. The nut is on the inside of the frame with about 1/3" to 2/3" clearance between the frame and the fuel tank. Of course, the frame's "C" shape faces towards the inside.
Looking for recommendations for a well fitting seat cover for this series of trucks? My driver's side is tearing (12 years of people dragging their rear ends across it will do that) and the foam cushion is starting to lose small pieces. I try to stand on the running board when getting in/out to minimize wear on the seat, but I'm just delaying the inevitable, not preventing it. I bought a set at Autozone, but it's going back because it doesn't fit properly and that makes it look, well, kind of tacky.
I've tried a few local scrap yards, but nobody has a matching seat in my interior color that isn't already wearing out. Autozone or any other retailer just carry universal fit covers, which don't fit well enough to look appealing. My only other option is to have it re-upholstered, but I have a feeling that might be on the spendy side.
I am trying to remove the upper portion of my passenger seat for my 2012 Prius C. This is not the part that you sit on. It is the part where your back rests against. The part where the head rest attaches to. I'm not sure what the formal technical name of the part is.
View 8 RepliesI seem to be leaking coolant, its not coming from the radiator, and all my hoses seem to be okay as well. I removed the airbox, the leak is on the drivers side by the engine. Where this leaking might be coming from?

View 4 RepliesSo it seems as if either the switch in the driver's side seat belt indicator is sticking (off, indicating my seat belt is NOT fastened even though it is), or it's broken. Although, it doesn't do this EVERY time I fasten my seat belt, it's doing it more frequently. I have to refasten it (multiple times) to get it to see it's fastened.

Prius four with heated leather seats noticed especially on the drivers side seat bottom on the side bolster just as you slide in not the center section. I noticed it when new, it looks like a maybe wire between the leather and seat foam.

I have two stock speakers from a buddies car that only have 8k and two years on them. My question is should I stick with stock ones since I plan on sticking with the stock head unit, or should I upgrade? What speakers that work well with the stock system?
View 6 RepliesThis happens every single day. I'll be sitting in the car, keys in, or keys out of the ignition and all of a sudden you will hear ticking coming from the drivers side speaker. Then silence. Then randomly you hear the damned thing ticking again, sometimes 3 ticks, sometimes 4, sometimes 2, sometimes more.
It's happens sporadically. A different amount of ticks each time. It happens with car power on and off.
I'm assuming this is a build up of static? I have a subwoofer and amp installed and the power cable is running along the drivers side, could the speaker be picking up the electrical interference?
Just bought a 2002 VW Passat and the rear drivers side speaker doesn't work. How to remove the door panel? I have been searching for about a week and still have only found how to remove the front drivers side panel, which is completely different from the rear panel.

View 19 RepliesThe A pillar on the driver side started leaking during a heavy rain. The water leak started where there is a seam on the A pillar. My RX stays outside and I would not surprised if a vent tube or hole has clogged up and thus made the water back up instead of draining but that is just a guess.
View 2 Replies2012 Accent. I have a wind noise issue. I don't mean that it's just loud. The driver's side upper window area has a crazy noise. It's a high pitched (is there another kind?) whistle. It is very inconsistent. I can not give any precise circumstance under which it appears, but it is definitely speed related. It appears from about 65-70 mph. But only sometimes. It also seems more common with cross winds, but it's hard to say for sure. I can not for the life of me pinpoint the origin. It seems to be around head level on the driver's door.
