Is there a numerical indicator on the dash other than that bar indicator? I know trip A and B have numericals, but they are not real time ones. Also is there besides trip A or B , lifetime MPG average?
I remember driving my friend's Prius II and it showed real time numerical MPG's.

View 6 RepliesJust bought a 2012 Prius Three last Friday. The MFD (upper display) shows an average of about 53 mpg so far, and the corresponding 1 & 5 min bars seem to make sense (we have an 07 TCH so we're reasonably familiar).
But the Display Audio unit (6.1 inch) Car>Consumption graph seems to show 100mpg most of the time/most bars. That can't be right and it looks nothing like the MFD display. What am I missing?
My teenage son left the keyfob in my 2006 Prius and failed to turn it off. It was in the garage with all the dash lights on for 12 hours before I found it and turned it off. Now what do I do? The info screen showed only two bars of charge. Should I go on a ride to recharge or get professional support?

Toyota service said a circuit board was burned out. I searched and found numerous such problems with 04 up to 09 and eventually (in 2012) Toyota initiated an extended warranty to cover replacement of the board.

All has been well in just over a month of driving the car and about 3300 miles logged. The 12v, Aux battery was dead from the car sitting on the lot for so long (I replaced with a new OEM Toyota 12v battery) After a week of the car experiencing dim headlights, and various other electronics

I have a 2006 Prius, 149,000 miles. The gas gauge has just become stuck on 2 bars. I discovered this after attempting to fill the gas tank. I was unable to pump the gas into the tank. The pump kept clicking off immediately. I was able to slowly put about 3.5 gals of gas in the tank, but very slowly. I also tried to add gas from a gas can, and the same problem occurred: the gas would go in very slowly. I have never had the fueling problem where the pump repeatedly clicks off. I tried several gas stations that had pumps that worked for me in the past, and didn't have any luck. The fuel gauge failure and the gas pumping problem have appeared simultaneously.

View 3 RepliesHad a Gen 2 years ago, first time with a Gen 3. Specs: 2011 Prius Two, not II, CPO'd with 83k miles. I've been experiencing this phenomenon for the past couple of days. I would park the car with 6 or 7 bars, but after 8-10 hours of parking it would power up with only 2 bars, or it would power up with 4-5 bars and quickly go down to 2 cars before it charges back up to 6-7 bars. I called the dealer and the SA tells me it's normal. I know for a fact my Gen 2 didn't and my TCH didn't. So is this something I should be concerned about or is this normal for the Gen 3?
View 3 RepliesI have a 2002 Prius with about 150,000 miles on it. A couple weeks ago, I noticed that the parking brake light on my instrument cluster didn't light up when I engaged it. Soon, all 10 bars on the fuel gauge started blinking. The seat belt reminder, open door warning, and headlight indicator lights aren't working, either. Any clues as to what could be causing all these malfunctions, or have I had more than one problem develop in close succession?

My wife left her newer 2013 Prius "on" at work....by this I take to mean she did not hit the on/off button when leaving the car. to turn off the car I asked if it started ok, and she reported yes; however on return from the gym about 3 miles away, she says she noticed the Hybrid Battery bars going down very quickly now and the gas-engine on almost the whole time.
View 12 RepliesI recently was stuck in a traffic jam in the middle of the Mojave desert. Outside temp was about 102 and we crept along for maybe 15 minutes going no more than 5-10 mph. I had the air conditioning on. I noticed the power bars were rapidly disappearing and got worried that I would lose the battery if I didn't get moving. Needless to say, I finally was able to speed up and the bars came back. (dropped to 2 bars).

View 7 RepliesMy high beam indicator in my dash is not working, I pulled the bulb and checked it and it is fine, so I did a voltage test and I am only getting 1.5 volts at the light terminals, I should be getting 12 volts. Is there a wiring diagram someone has so i can see if it is the dash display itself or that I could trace back to the switch to see if it is something in the headlight switch? or What it could possibly be. other than that, everything else works.
