Anyways, I was driving to school today. Going about 45mph on on off ramp that curves slightly when my Slip indicator light turned on and blinked maybe 10 times or so. I'm taking it to the shop tomorrow as the manual suggest. My car only has 7,500 miles.
View 8 RepliesMy car, a 2014 Prius TWO, was towed and recovered, but now the slip indicator light is always on (also the steering wheel is way out of alignment). Driving home, the car felt perfectly fine, except for the steering wheel being at a weird angle. What's going on? Can I get this fixed at a mechanic when they fix the wheel alignment, or do I have to take this in to a dealership?

View 4 RepliesSo I noticed this has happened a few times.. If I press on the brake pedal too hard, the indicator light will come on and then turn off a few moments after I depress the brake pedal. This has happened when the car is stationary as well as when I was coming to a stop, it's happened maybe 5 times since I picked the car up a few weeks ago. Is this normal behavior or an indication of a problem? Just an FYI, I'm not talking about when the indicators light up when first starting the car.. This is tied strictly to pressing the brake pedal hard.
View 8 Replies2010 Prius V owner as of last week. All has been going well and got into the car this morning and all of the above noted lights are on at start-up and stay on as I drive. Have made appointment with the dealer but they cannot get me in until late next week. I did make a short drive this morning and all seemed fine with handling and braking. Searched a few threads here and answers are very varied and none that I saw had all of above lights on. I don't think that it is the Hill Start Assist. Safe to drive until we can get into the dealership?
View 14 RepliesMy Prius touring had 4 205/55/16 tires. I had the mechanic change the front two tires to 205/50/16 and now, whenever I drive over 60mph, the slip indicator light flashes continuously. When I slow down, it goes away.
Is it because the front and rear tires are mismatched? If so, I'll have the mechanic change the rear to 205/50/16 as well.
I have a 2007 prius and when I pass 30 miles per hr the slip indicator light start blinking and a beeping sound. What is going on and I have a vsc light on too

In the same time, I can hear as if there is a piece of metal sheet somewhere in the car vibrated. Is this normal?

I started it up to pull out of the garage and noticed the maint Req'd light blinking, it blinked about five times and turned off. Does it mean anything? if so, what? Just rolled over 100K. We bought it in late january and all the PM was done just wondering if they reset the oil reminder or what.

I stopped at Advanced Auto for a diagnostic check. They said they couldn't be sure if it was a sensor, or maybe a wiring issue.

View 3 RepliesRefilled the wiper fluid on my fiance's 2011 Camry LE today and low and behold the ABS + Slip Indicator lights came on in the dash next time she started the car.
No codes are throwing from the ECU and it drives fine. Only thing I can think to do is Drive it full tilt and see if I lose the back end and/or try braking aggressively from 40+ mph. Just to see if the ABS/Trac Control systems are hosed. Don't want to go to the dealer to have them try the same thing and me pay for it...
This morning I was cruising down the highway with cruise control set at 63 mph. All of a sudden the car slowed down and the "Slip Indicator" was displayed and the cruise control was now off.

The Owner's Manual says: If the vehicle is in danger of slipping or rolling backward when starting on an incline, or if any of the drive wheels spins, the slip indicator light flashes to indicate that the VSC/TRAC systems are operating.
Luckily, it only happened once... otherwise, I'll roll back to the dealership in the very first day I picked up my car...
I am afraid to drive my car on the highway and if I am damaging my car by driving it I want to make sure I hold the auto care shop that put the wrong size tire on my car responsible.
I have Bridgestone Ecopia EP100 BL tires size 185/65R15 on my 2007 Prius that I got in 2010. Because of a nail in one tire I had to replace one of the tires two days ago. The technician said they did not have the exact same tire any more but he would replace it with something comparable.
The next day I drove 2 hours on the interstate and the slip indicator light kept flashing, it felt like the engine was revving a lot and/or the transmission wouldn't shift when I got to highway speeds, and it was a little scary. My first thought was something with the new tire since I had absolutely no problems before.
My RX350 2012/13 model AWD check system and slip indicator warning light are permanently ON on the dashboard. The car is driving normal. How to clear the indications because I am very uncomfortable with it.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2011 Corolla LE, about 58k miles. The latest work I did was replace the brake pads, rotate the tires and changed the oil a little over 2 weeks ago. Everything was normal so far. Yesterday I drove for about an hour, again everything was fine, but after stopping at a gas station and starting I have several indicator lights come on.
- Slip indicator, flashing
- TRAC OFF, constant
- ABS, flashing
- Electric power steering warning light, flashes but turns off after about 30 seconds.
I tried my OBD scanner with no luck, but figures since there was no Check Engine light.
This morning I tried to drive my 2008 Prius and the "check engine" light quickly blinked and the dashboard didn't light up. The monitor did turn on and I could hear the engine running. The monitor showed that the hybrid battery was almost full. While trying to go in reverse, the camera did not work. We just had an oil change done. The 12V battery was replaced almost 2 years ago. The car has almost 150K on it. I also tried tightening the gas cap. It's obviously winter and it snowed last night (in case that might be a factor).
