While driving tonight I was making a right turn and I heard two short beeps and my interior light flashed on and off two times. This happened three more times after stopping and when I put my foot on the gas again the interior light came on and then off again, no flashing or no beeps.
I just hit my 16,000 mile mark on my 2014 Prius C two.
I most recently drove my 2006 Prius around on Saturday Feb. 1, with no problems at all. I went out of town for a couple of days, and returned this afternoon to a car that will not start. I stepped on the brake, pushed Power, and things lit up, the "Ready" light flashed a few times but then went off. Power button light stayed orange.
Several warning lights on dash stayed on (!)/ABS/VSC/traction control, and a message came on the screen saying something about a problem with "P" parking, and that it should be parked level and the parking brake applied. It is sitting level with the parking brake applied already. Also, the door ajar warning light and beep start as soon as you open the car door to get in.
I'm thinking from what I've read that my 12v battery has died/is dying. I'm the original owner, bought car in March 2006, and it has just under 61,000 miles on it.
I'm having a very strange problem with my 2011 Prius.
About two and a half hours ago, I drove home and parked my Prius for the night. About an hour after I parked, my Prius started beeping, three short beeps, every couple of munutes. It's now been doing this for over 90 minutes. Because I can hear it from the house, it is very, very, very annoying.
I have checked all of the doors, and also took the car out for a quick spin around the block, in hopes of getting the beeping to stop. No luck. It keeps beep-beep-beeping every few minutes.
It has been unusually cold here the past couple of days, in case that has anything to do with it. That being said, it was a good 10-15 degrees colder yesterday, yet the car wasn't having this problem. It only started this evening.
My question is, what in the world could be causing this beeping? Is there any way to stop it?
I had the transmission filter and fluid changed at the local VW dealership had some issues with that but they straightened that out and its been fine for a while well then about 2 or 3 weeks ago i was trying to mess with an audi and hit the gas (has the 6 speed auto tranny) and the car kinda stuttered and the check engine light flashed probably 4 or 5 times then went off, it did that a few times after that then my wife was driving it and it did that stutter again and the light stayed on, the code said misfire on cylinder 2..
So I replaced the plugs today and it did fine at first but when i got to about 55-60 and went to speed up and it started to miss pretty bad then steadied out and sped up. no check engine light or anything but it was missing.
Code 0341 (cam sensor?)On my way home epc light flashed about 5-7 times and message saying service engine. 111,000 miles and just had intake manifold replaced and plugs and coils not to long ago. I have been feeling a slight hiccup at cruising speed and twice my gti has just shut off while driving. New fuel filter as well. I searched the forum and didn't come up with anything specific. Can I just replace the cam sensor or is there more to it than that.
View 1 RepliesThe oil was changed by a highly reputable shop 2 days ago, (45 miles ago). My wife noticed today that the "Low Oil Pressure" red message flashed 3 times in the last 5 miles of her 10 mile trip (45-50 mph). She stopped the car and called me. I arrived at the parked Prius and saw no oil on the dipstick. I poured a quart of synthetic in and looked under the car to see it pouring out. My finger discovered that there was No Oil Plug. I called the shop and they sent a tow truck, put a new oil plug in, refilled the oil and claim no damage since "the Prius shuts off the gas engine when low oil pressure is sensed". Looking for information about this "shut off feature?" What should I ask from the shop? What should be tested & checked for? How do you test for damage to the bearings? How about a compression test? The car has 100K miles.
View 19 RepliesI have had this happen two or three times and don't know how to reproduce reliably. With my FOB in me, car beeps a few times when trying to open the driver's door. This is repeatable when in this mode; that is, trying to open the door produces few beeps but door will not open. The last time this happened, I clicked the open button in the FOB, and this produced the few beeps without unlocking the door. The passenger door opens, and my wife can unlock driver's door from the inside, and then I can turn car on and go as if nothing had happened. The best I recall this has happened in the garage. which is why the passenger door is unlocked, but don't know why driver's door is locked. Again, this has not happened enough to recall the pattern.
View 8 RepliesSo, I got in my car this morning, it started fine, no CEL, pulled out onto the main road and while while accelerating, it started to sputter and the CEL flashed several times. I turned back into my neighborhood, expecting it to stall, but it didn't. I sat there for a second, it was running fine, but I felt a few slight rumbles while idling, enough to make me nervous, but not enough to prevent me from continuing to work (I'm out of PTO).
So, I continued on, no CEL, accelerated and the sputtering happened again, slowed down, lightly pressed the gas pedal and it was fine. I made it to work. I just got the APR programming on Monday. I ordered the TT225 diverter valve.

Sometimes I unlock my car and it beeps a couple times, sometimes it beeps more.
What do the various beeps mean?
Six year old car, 115k on the clock. Starting last week, I've been unable to unlock the doors on the es. Whether it's via the key fob or the sensors on the door handles. I've noticed the behaviour in the morning when it's cold, so I'm assuming it's mechanical. When the weather warms up, everything seems to work again. I've done some research here and while nothing turned up for our es's, I think it might be the actuators for the locks based on responses I've seen from the is and gs owners.
I guess the weird part for me is that all locks but the driver door lock seem to have failed - all at the same time. I can lock, but not unlock. Trying to figure if there's singe common point of failure which would cause three failures simultaneously. Perhaps it's just coincidence? I'm fully prepared to remove the panels and tackle this project.
It was driving me crazy that the red triangle warning light (master warning light) flashed for only a split second, once per day, two days in a row.
I drive 100 miles per day. My 2004 Prius has 136K miles.
It turned out to be low motor oil level, 1.75 quarts low.
My car is burning about one quart every 5K miles which probably is within the normal range for a 136K car.
My 2000 v6 beeps 3 times when i turn it on and flashes the word STOP! while leaving the abs light illuminated on the dash as well as the brake light. The car also feels a little shaky while slowing down if touching the brakes, and when accelerating in first gear it tends to buck slightly. Also I had a new flywheel, clutch, tranny all the works just put in last summer, is it a problem that the clutch is at the top, when i first got it back with the new tranny it was releasing at the floor.

If i pick the key up and move it to the button the key light goes away. Is this normal or is there an issues? I just moved up to this car from a 97 camry and could not find an answer.
View 3 RepliesI have 2006 single cab stx and the little orange airbag guy below the speedometer has been on over a year and a half and he always flashes a code 51, but I've never worried about it.
About a month ago I started occasionally getting the 5 beeps 5 times, and now it does it more frequently but not every time. The Passenger Airbag Light above the radio works properly. It comes on when I start the truck and then goes off. When I put weight on the seat (usually my Jack Russell who only weighs 14lbs) it turns on and stays, and if the seat belt is buckled with no weight it also stays on. This is proper function correct ?
I've tried things I've read from replacing or cleaning up the crash sensor in front of the radiator, even cleaned the connections under the seats with contact cleaner, pulled fuses and none of them are blown. Are the code 51 and the beeping alarm somehow connected ?
My tire pressure light flashed for a while and then remained lit for several minutes during a several-hundred-mile roadtrip a few days ago. The vehicle did not pull, drag, or show any sign of tire problems, and when I checked the pressure on all four tires the next morning they were fine.

Today, I went to go and use my remote start and the lights come on like it should and then it beeps 3 times and doesn't start. All my doors are closed. I thought maybe it was something with my hood sensor but I couldn't really find it.
View 4 RepliesOk today I was driving my 2004 Gli n noticed when I flash my high beams (pull them back for temporary lights) my interior lights come on. When I release the high beams the lights go back off. I know this isn't normal n wanna fix it.
View 8 Replies2007 Prius ... When I hit about 45 mph the skid detector light goes on, the car beeps like crazy, and the accelerator will not work until speed has been reduced to about 25mph. This is on dry road, definitely NOT under skid conditions.
History: Front driver's side rim and tie rod were damaged. New tie rod was installed and I drove it on the spare tire just fine. The Tire pressure monitoring system light was on, but no skid warnings. I bought a replacement rim, had a used tire put on to match the tread of the current tires. I then took the car to get an alignment. After that I experienced the skid control problem.
I told the alignment shop about the problem and they indicated that the TPMS and skid sensor alarms may be connected, and that the 1 replacement tire may be causing the problem. I went home, rotated that tire to the back, and did a test run. 10 miles, 60 mph, no problems. Next morning I'm heading to work and the skid problem comes back, and I'm stuck doing 25 on the highway.
Trouble light indicates intermittently and Beeps when changing lanes or turning quickly.
