I have recently had a problem with my 2004 Prius - the brake lights came on while I was driving (both the red exclamation mark and the orange exclamation mark to the left of the speedometer) ...

The Toyota service center told me that I need to replace the skid Control ecu - the part number that they quoted is 89540 47050.

I was driving on the freeway cruising about 65-70mph.. Not using the brake at all. All the sudden the car starts beeping loudly with the Brake light going off, traction control light going off, and the ((!)) light as well. So I wanted to pull over to the side and realized my brakes were not working . It was the same as if you're trying to brake the car when the car is turned off. I slowly pulled off the freeway. Tried to reset the ECU, battery, everything, thinking at the traction control is just going crazy.

Toyota - Camry :: 2007 - Check Engine Light Is On Along With VSC And A Skid Control Lights

I recently bought a 2007 toyota Camry le v6 with less than 38,000 miles it currently has 39,300 miles and my check engine light is on along with the VSC and a skid control light (car with squiggle lines behind it) we have a had lots of rain here where I live and I had to drive through a couple deep water puddles. I looked up online and it said The engine light may turn on if the VSC and skid control lights are on. Could this be that the sensors maybe got wet? I don't think anything should be wrong with this car considering it's a toyota with less than 40k miles

I had not driven the Prius in a few weeks, and even then, that was for less than five miles, and had the low tire pressure indicator come on late last week when the temperatures cooled down, which I fully expected given my opportunities with the Toyota Dealer properly inflating tires. We were away for another week and returned today and I decided to check the tires and add air, and in addition to the tire pressure indicator, the ABS, Traction Control, and Brake Indicator lights were on. As soon as I filled all the tires to the specified PSI, that indicator disappeared but the brake related ones all stayed on.

Evertime I turn left the brake light, traction control and stability control lights come on and the car starts dinging. Mechanic says it could be front wheel bearings because they are tied to the ABS system??? But I have been seeing alot about wheel speed sensors?

Second, everytime I brake suddenly, a cloud of smoke comes from the front end and there is a burning oil smell. The oil is fine and no leaks. Again mechanic says it could be a cracked CV boot throwing grease?

Lastly everytime I put in reverse or when I lightly put pressure on the brakes when driving I get this noise like a humming (errrrrrr) noise. Its not the grinding/squealing noise you would get when brake pads needs replaced. I only have 60k miles on this.

Lexus RX 2010-15 :: Skid Control Light Coming On Occasionally

I just bought this 2010 RX350. The skid control light has been coming on occasionally. I first noticed it when I was stopped (in gear) and I reached around to the back seat, I put pressure on the brake pedal while reaching around. There was a beep and the light came on. Then the other day while stopped at a red light I pushed on the pedal inadvertently and that skid control light popped on. I then noticed if I put pressure on the brake pedal while the car is stopped and in gear this light comes on. When I take my foot off the brake to proceed on down the road you can feel a deliberate pause as something is kicking back into gear and then the light goes off and the car is fine. Is this something going bad?

So, I changed the front brake pads on my 2007 Prius blindly, and in doing so I bled the lines (I also had the key in my pocket!). Now, the ABS light, VSC light and (!) light all are on and continue to stay on while driving. Is this something as simple as resetting the codes? Is the vehicle safe to drive to a repair shop to set strait?

2007 GS350... Yesterday i ended up changing my oil and did not noticed the oil seal for the oil filter shifted . So it dumped out about 3 qts of oil when I started the car. Oil everywhere. I ended up cleaning everything and did the oil change again. Now I am having an check vsc light, also the anti skid and abs light is on. No check engine light. What can it be??? Having a problem with my 2005 passat. 90k. Started running bad at idle like the car was about to die. CEL startes blinking and the EPC and Anti skid light came on (not blinking). I got the Check VSC light on today along with the Skid Light and the Emission light. I got garage to read code said P0158 High Voltage on O2 sensor Bank 2 Sensor2.

He said O2 Sensor looks like its gone he Knocked it off and it has not returned as yet but the car still run right

However it went into service at Lexus Sheffield UK about 2 month ago and they said there is a crack in the rear exhaust pipe at the Y junction i said cant you weld it he said no you need new rear boxes as they are one unit.

I have noticed it is starting to blow a little now could this affect the o2 readings

I have a1994 Dodge 1500 Ram Hemi extra cab 4door. The brake lights on the bed of the truck not the high light will blink on and off and sometimes stay on the other day my son-in-law narrowed the truck and a trailer and the trailer also blinked but again not the high light. Also the cruise has stopped working about the same time this started. At one time it was infrequent now is most of the time. Wondering if it could be part of the alarm system or something else it is driving me crazy.

I have an accent 2006 GS Sedan. I bought this as used recently. Noticed that the lights are not powerful at nights. When I turn on the lights there is no changes in the power of the driving / low beam lights.

Whether this is the standard with accent 2006. Other vehicles I have with me changes the power of the light and in this case there is no changes at all. I bought extra powerful bulbs and put them and there was a slight change, but there is no change between the driving lights and the low beam.

Ford F-150 (2004-2008) :: No Brake Lights Or Cruise Control

So, I installed a new radio lately (Poineer 4100 NEX- nice radio, BTW). Yesterday, I ran a couple video wires through the firewall for new backup cameras. Anyway, after I was done, my brake lights and cruise control didn't work.

After a little Googling, I decided it my have something to do with the electrical switch on the brake pedal. So, I wiggled the brake switch a bit and the brake lights are working again. I must have bumped or bent something while I was running wires.

Was/is my switch out of alignment or is this a sign my switch may be going out. Should I replace the switch?
