After about a min once bluetooth connects it fails. In setup under bluetooth it says it's off and pushing it does nothing. My phone shows bluetooth on and still paired. If I was talking to someone call does not get dropped but I have to pick up my phone and turn off bluetooth so I can hear them on phone speaker.
View 5 RepliesI have a 2015 Plug in Prius and a Samsung Galaxy S5. I am having terrible bluetooth issues. It connects fine then after a minute or two the bluetooth on the cars gets turned off. I can turn of engine and turn it back on and it connects again for couple of minutes after that the bluetooth on prius shows turned off. It is terrible.

Car: 2013 Prius v Three
Symptom: Bluetooth connects and works but then stops after a couple minutes. The Bluetooth Settings screen indicates "Bluetooth Off" at this point but will not turn back on if I press the button that should toggle it. All other options on the settings screen are dimmed out.
So my 2012 camry with the touchscreen head unit connects to my phone just fine. It streams my music just fine as well. I however hate my phone calls, texts, etc coming through the car. After my phone connects to the car, I can go to the bluetooth menu and tell it to disconnect for phone and that takes care of it for that drive. But every time I get in the car I have to break that connection.
View 3 RepliesIt will sync for about 10-30 seconds, then the car's Bluetooth just shuts off. It's not my phone, as the BT on my phone is working with everything else. I have unpaired, re-paired, shut everything down. It starts up again for that 10-30 seconds, and then it shuts off. Do I need to take it to the dealer?

2013 Prius. Audio worked fine yesterday but on my way to work this morning the car would not play audio from my iPhone 6s. The Bluetooth is connected fine and calling still works but when I play music the screen shows that the music is playing but I get no sound from my speakers. I've tried resetting my phone and turned the car off and on to no avail.

Sometimes, if the AC has just been running, it will come back on in just 2-3 seconds.
I have a vague memory that the PiP will start its petrol engine every XXX miles just for a maintenance warm up if it has not been used for that mileage. An engine start will reset that mileage back to zero and start recounting its EV miles until that limit is reached again. What is that limit?
View 19 RepliesOccasionally, right after I start the car, the HDD display screen will be dark for a minute or two, and then display the map. I can go to the other screens, like Audio or the setup screens, but the map and the backup camera screens are dark. The still-functional buttons are responsive as usual (no delays/hangs). When the map finally "wakes up", it behaves normally. I don't have to do anything other than wait for it to wake up. It does this about 10% of the time. I have tried to correlate this to something, but it seems totally random.
View 4 RepliesAfter my 25k service it seems the timer scheduler when the square button is pressed/held flashes at 7am. When i press the H button the hour advances to 12am then closes. I want to start the charge at 12am and finish at 5AM. The timer windows closes when i move the finish hour to 12am and then my regular clock hour changes. It used to be when i pressed/held the timer button the start time would show at 12 am and after setting it would go to the finish hour.
View 8 RepliesI have 2015 Camry LE trim. Whenever I start my car and connect Bluetooth, music starts playing automatically. Bad thing is it keeps on playing when I am navigating using Google or Apple map. It will reduce volume momentarily while a navigation instruction is being played and start off again. I can't turn it off completely while navigating. If I hit pause it will stop until the next navigation instruction is played. After an instruction is played music starts again. I just can't turn the damn music off! It's not just the Apple Music app, I have another streaming music app. If I'm listening to that app before entering the car, it somehow starts playing music from that app.

Can't and don't want to load them all. I can't figure out how to load or create a contact without using my bluetooth phone.

View 5 RepliesI have a Prius two 2012, have been using an old iPod for music over USB, and a blackberry over bluetooth handsfree profile. blackberry phones allow you to manage which BT profiles are connected, I disabled the music over BT profile. but now I just got an iPhone 5s to replace both phone and ipod, it automatically pairs with all profiles supported by the car, no disable or selection per profile. I want to play music over USB, not BT, the quality is better.
But the iPhone doesn't support both, if BT music is enabled, then that is where it goes. i have not found a way to disable the BT music. I confirmed with Apple tech support, they say the car side decides what services to pair with the phone, the iPhone just slavishly does what it is told with no user control options. Looking then at option control on the radio side, i have looked at the radio BT setups, there is no option i can find to select which profiles to automatically connect. How to configure the BT settings so the iPhone is registered only for handsfree and not BT music? Pls note that have only the basic display audio...
I just got my 2012 Prius 4, the blue tooth is paired with my Samsung Captivate (SGH-I897), however the car bluetooth will not let me answer the incomming calls whenever I hit the green call button on the screen or the call button on the steering wheel.. or any button for that matter. The only way I can answer incomming calls is to dig out my phone and answer the call on my phone.. I called toyota and 3 customer service reps called me back and guess what, I was able to answer their phone calls on the car blue tooth... but no one else... I received numerous calls and was not able to answer them using my car bluetooth...
View 4 RepliesI have a 2012 Prius IV with the solar package and I love it, but when I connect the USB cord from the (hidden) usb connection to my iphone, it automatically reverts to the bluetooth connection.
I managed to get the Entunes to work for a little bit today, but now it won't connect at all. It has to do with the usb connection. I've only had the car a week- sometimes the ipod will work for a few minutes but then it switches to bluetooth. And Entunes is apparently only supposed to connect through the usb, not bluetooth.
I am about to finish up my graduate studies here in Ohio, after which, my wife and I will be headed back to California. We are in desperate need of a second car, but have decided to wait until we move to get one. My wonderful in laws have said that they are willing to split the cost of a new car with us. With that said, we have already decided that we want to get a Prius, but we can't decide which one. We both really like the V. We love how roomy the car is. This is very important to us because we are going to start a family soon. However, we also like the regular Prius and the PiP. I really like the PiP but am a little concerned about the new batteries, and I am not sure that I want to pay the early adapter premium assuming one is even available. But, only paying half for a PiP sounds rather tempting. Considering all that I just said, if you were in my shoes what car would you get and why?
