I have a 2012 Prius v Model 5 without Tech Pkg. While streaming music from my iPod Touch via Bluetooth, the sound tends to skip or speed up as if you are pressing fast forward intermittently. Sound is fine when hard wired via USB. I don't recall this happening when the car was new.
View 3 RepliesWhen I am listening to songs from iPhone there are buttons on my head unit (C2 radio NOT nav system) for play/pause, fwd, rewind BUT the rewind and fwd buttons only forward through the song it's playing (like you used to be able to do with cassette tapes) and it does NOT skip to the next song. How stupid is that? I have never seen a digital audio player that did this, the fwd/rewind always skip back a song or fwd a song BUT the prius head unit only skips through the song itself.

View 5 RepliesJust got my Prius III last week and I've noticed that every time I leave the car, the bluetooth on my phone shows its still connected, even though the car is off and I'm no where near it. What's worse is that when I return to the car, it doesn't reconnect. So I'm not sure if its the phone or the car. I had bluetooth in my Tacoma for years and it worked fine, so it has to have something to do with the car. Its a Droid 4.

But when she gets in the car it always connects to her phone for bluetooth streaming even though mine was the last one connected. Totally obnoxious, so I deleted her.

View 19 RepliesI had a Samsung Galaxy s4 that gave me the message tethering detected and then the only way to get my phone to connect via bluetooth again was to delete the phone from the car and reestablish the connection which only worked until the signal popped up again. I called US Cellular and they thought it was the phone so I chose to get a refurbished s4 over having work done on my phone. I had that phone hooked up and working well for about 1 month and now the second phone is doing it.
The message last popped up while I was in my office across the street from the Prius. I'm guessing it's either a s4 issue or a US Cellular issue being it happens in and out of the car, but US Cellular is convinced it's my car. I'm thinking about switching to an iPhone because this is only one of the many things I hate about Samsung galaxies.
Connected a portable XM receiver and it has power and is receiving a signal, but the only thing not working is sound. Radio says everything is connected, but no sound.
View 1 RepliesIt had worked fine until yesterday.Now there is very faint sound (cannot hear it at all without turning the volume way up and even then, it is very faint). Bluetooth phone works fine as does radio.
I have deleted and reinstalled the Bluetooth profiles from both the phone and car with no results. Interestingly it works fine with my ipad.
I switched from an Android phone to a iPhone 4 and after the switch I noticed that sometimes the bluetooth A2DP audio goes out in the middle of playing. The bluetooth does not drop connection or lose pairing, but there just no sound.
I can tap the "play" icon on the Nav touch screen and the sound comes back for a minute or so and goes out again repeatedly. If I don't do anything and just wait, after a minute or two the sound spontaneously returns and usually keeps going.
At first I though it was a problem with the podcast app I was using, but then I noticed the exact same behavior with playing music with the built-in native iPod app.
I found a few threads on this forum talking about skipping problems with ipods. Has there been a fix for this yet? I have a 2012 Prius Three and an ipod classic 80 gb from 2006. I'm not able to use voice commands because it says that the ipod is still syncing. If I play a song it will pause for 1-2 seconds randomly during the song, maybe 1-3 times per song. It's extremely annoying. It doesn't matter if I'm driving slow, fast or parked.
View 5 RepliesI've been having a few problems with keeping my ipod connected with Entune. I was working fine but lately the ipod screen keeps saying loading. Then when I switch to another source like FM, then back to Ipod, I also get a "Function not available" screen. The only thing that has fixes this is to hard reboot my ipod, and turn off the car and restart.

I can't find the dual anchors for the infant seat base; I know I feel dumb and I'm sure the dealer can show me how to access Blue Tooth connection; Phone screen flickers on and off see attached images. I lose the ability to dial number or access contacts
Phone is connected the whole time. I've deleted and added the phone several times. I am using Samsung Infuse ATT

I noticed that when I active BT on my phone it connects to my cars phone BT automatically. But has a harder time when I try to connect to the portable audio player to stream music. I have to turn off the BT on my phone and turn it back on and then hit the "connect" button for the audio player and it works. Then I have to go back to the phone screen and hit connect again.

View 2 RepliesEverytime, I get into my V I play my various podcast (via iPhone). However, its takes about a minute (as compared to my wife's RX which connects instantaneously). Why it takes such a long time? Bluetooth is always on and its be "paired".
Also, when I turn off audio, the screen simply shows blue screen with "audio off". Is there a way that I can always default to the map screen instead of going to apps --> maps --> show map? Not a biggie, but a nice to have for me.
2013 Prius. Audio worked fine yesterday but on my way to work this morning the car would not play audio from my iPhone 6s. The Bluetooth is connected fine and calling still works but when I play music the screen shows that the music is playing but I get no sound from my speakers. I've tried resetting my phone and turned the car off and on to no avail.

I bought a cheap alternative bluetooth receiver at radio shack to try to create a workaround and it synced up perfectly. So, I believe it has something to do with the car BT. How to get it to work right?
I have a 2011 Prius III without Nav. It has bluetooth pairing, and pairs with the Galaxy Nexus phone (android) to make and receive calls just fine. However, there seems to be no way to play music through the phone? (I currently have an audio cable which I plug into my phone. But for various reasons, this is far from an ideal solution for me.)
I have contacted the Toyota dealership where I bought the Prius and they seem to think this does not work. However, can this really be the case?
(1) Is there something I'm missing in order to play music through bluetooth on my phone?
(2) If there isn't, what are my after-market options for doing so? (I don't need navigation or anything else.)
I am a new member and the happy owner of a prius series 3 2009 base model no satnav ...amazing vehicle should have bought one years ago.....i can use the mobile via bluetooth...but can't import my phonebook from the phone...so i manually enter numbers and names....
View 4 RepliesAndroid person myself but noticed on wife's iPhone 6s occasionally the audio via Bluetooth to the jbl system gets choppy . it basically keeps cutting on and off. She has to duly then disconnect Bluetooth on iPhone and then reconnect to remedy.
