Is it possible to change the Climate control system to show in Degrees Celsius instead of Fahrenheit? It displays the temperature inside the vehicle on the lower dash display under the radio. I read all through the manual as well as mashed every key on the dashboard but no luck...
View 5 RepliesI just purchased a Gen III Prius II (I am a Honda Insight convert). The question I have is... Is there a way to change the Climate Control Temperature and the Outside Temperature read outs to Celsius instead of Fahrenheit? I know pressing the MPH/km/h button changes the the speed, distance and fuel consumption, but not the temperature read outs. I prefer Celsius as that is what I was raised on.

View 10 RepliesThe buttons to change the temperature in my 2010 Prius don't do a thing... The temperature is cool-ish as long as you have the AC turned on, and stays the exact same as you increase the temperature until you get to 85 and it maxes out, then it starts to get warm. As soon as you go to 84, it's cool again.

View 2 RepliesI haven't been able to find the solution to change C temp readings to F on my 2009 ES350. The car is Canadian and I'm in the US and although it's not a big deal I'd like to change it over. The importation company already changed over the speedo and so the cluster reads F degrees and Miles. Just that one last change to make it all match up.
I read an old thread on the earlier generation that the body control module needs to be changed. But, nothing on this generation. Lots of people trying to go metric from English so maybe we could even trade parts to make it happen.
Bought a VAG cable, got VCDS 12.12.0 running. Found the instrument cluster and changed the region to ROW(rest of world)(I have a US Tiguan). The center screen on the cluster changes( as in F change to C, Miles change to Kilometers, everything is ok). However, after recoding the cluster the airbag, ABS, and ESP warning lights come on. Once I revert all changes back to the US coding, everything is again ok.
View 2 RepliesI have an Elantra GT SE with automatic climate control. I would like to know if there is a way to disable the automatic A/C on/off with our system. The problem is that even if the air is cooler outside, the air conditioning is automatically turned on and the fuel economy drops. (I know that we can do this for the base model (to turn off air conditioning while using the defroster).
View 7 RepliesHeating comes up very well although air flow at the feet isn't very high but adequate. However, I notice once the cabin is warmed and it reverts to keeping it at the set temperature. I never sense it coming back on to heat again and air output feels cool.
The following doesn't reactive it into the typical heat output as when I get into a cold vehicle.
- going out to fill up for gas with doors opening etc with engine off then leaving is still a very cool output and no further warming appears to take place
- loading shopping from purchases does not seem too cool the sensor enough while engine is still running
- even while driving setting it another .5C higher does not make a difference once its cycle off the main heat mode.
Where is the SF sensor located for the internal system and is this slow response normal. How much of a drop in temperature does it need to pump at lease warm air. I'll have to experiment further I guess and adjust full degree increments until I get a response. I am comfortable most of the time but I don't like cool air blowing at me through the vents in the winter.
Have an 07, currently i have the dash all apart and replaced the climate control unit because the blower wouldnt work. Plugged it in and it tested it. Still no blower. What more do i need to check?
View 2 RepliesI turned on the climate control this morning when I started the car and tried to change the temperature, then for some reason until the car was warmed up the climate control went to lo and seemed like it was locked there.
Once I the car got warmed up, the climate control worked was normal. It seemed like the increase/decrease controls were locked.
Where about is this filter located? is it the cabin filter in the glovebox?
View 7 RepliesI have had my Santa Fe for 3 months now and have just noticed recently (due to the cold wet weather) that when it is raining my windscreen fogs up when the climate control is set to auto. This never happened in my previous car (VW Golf GTI). I always drive with climate control set to auto and temp set to 23 degrees C. When the windscreen fogs up I have to set A/C to on to demist it. The temperature is then totally different. I can only get a clear windscreen with A/C on, no matter what mode. E.g. If I just have front demister with no A/C then I fog up. If I have blowers set to windscreen and no A/C I fog up. Having A/C on with any mode is fine! When the windscreen is clear and I set the climate control back to auto then the windscreen fogs up almost immediately again.
This seems a bit rubbish to me. I would have thought that having the climate control set to auto is all that is required (like my previous car). I don't want to drive with A/C on when it is raining and auto when it is not. I just want to keep it in one mode.
I have an 04 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.5L V6 AWD with climate control. All other trucks this year I've only seen with manual HVAC controls. My blower motor is constantly running anytime the key is turned on. It feels like it is blowing 3/4 strong all the time and I can turn it up, what feels like one setting higher. Even if the climate control is turned off it keeps blowing. I can control the temp and AC and defroster, I just cannot control the actual airflow pressure from the vents. On an older car this seems like a resistor issue. Is this a common issue? If so, what can I do to try to rectify this?
