Have an 07, currently i have the dash all apart and replaced the climate control unit because the blower wouldnt work. Plugged it in and it tested it. Still no blower. What more do i need to check?

View 8 RepliesI have an 04 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.5L V6 AWD with climate control. All other trucks this year I've only seen with manual HVAC controls. My blower motor is constantly running anytime the key is turned on. It feels like it is blowing 3/4 strong all the time and I can turn it up, what feels like one setting higher. Even if the climate control is turned off it keeps blowing. I can control the temp and AC and defroster, I just cannot control the actual airflow pressure from the vents. On an older car this seems like a resistor issue. Is this a common issue? If so, what can I do to try to rectify this?

View 5 RepliesHeating comes up very well although air flow at the feet isn't very high but adequate. However, I notice once the cabin is warmed and it reverts to keeping it at the set temperature. I never sense it coming back on to heat again and air output feels cool.
The following doesn't reactive it into the typical heat output as when I get into a cold vehicle.
- going out to fill up for gas with doors opening etc with engine off then leaving is still a very cool output and no further warming appears to take place
- loading shopping from purchases does not seem too cool the sensor enough while engine is still running
- even while driving setting it another .5C higher does not make a difference once its cycle off the main heat mode.
Where is the SF sensor located for the internal system and is this slow response normal. How much of a drop in temperature does it need to pump at lease warm air. I'll have to experiment further I guess and adjust full degree increments until I get a response. I am comfortable most of the time but I don't like cool air blowing at me through the vents in the winter.
I have a 2008 LS360L with 4-zone climate control. For whatever reason, the rear seat controls and display do not work for climate control. The controls still work for radio, rear seat adjustment and window shades, but climate functions are unoperable.
Additionally, the 4-zone buttons on the nav touchscreen are now missing in the climate menu. There used to be left / right passenger settings and then a button to switch to rear seat settings. These options have all disappeared from the menu.
I can press the 4-zone physical button on dash and manually change temperature settings for driver or passenger by pressing physical driver / passenger temperature up / down buttons.
The only thing I can attribute to this is I had the dealer do a map upgrade to the nav system. All other features / functions work, but the timing is somewhat suspect... They really do not believe this upgrade caused the problem.
Are there hidden menus I may have hit to deactivate this feature?
I have had my Santa Fe for 3 months now and have just noticed recently (due to the cold wet weather) that when it is raining my windscreen fogs up when the climate control is set to auto. This never happened in my previous car (VW Golf GTI). I always drive with climate control set to auto and temp set to 23 degrees C. When the windscreen fogs up I have to set A/C to on to demist it. The temperature is then totally different. I can only get a clear windscreen with A/C on, no matter what mode. E.g. If I just have front demister with no A/C then I fog up. If I have blowers set to windscreen and no A/C I fog up. Having A/C on with any mode is fine! When the windscreen is clear and I set the climate control back to auto then the windscreen fogs up almost immediately again.
This seems a bit rubbish to me. I would have thought that having the climate control set to auto is all that is required (like my previous car). I don't want to drive with A/C on when it is raining and auto when it is not. I just want to keep it in one mode.
Looking for wiring diagrams for a 97 gran marq. Specifically I want to hotwire, the climate control , to give me heat and defrost for more then 2 minutes an hour. I've got the climate control unit out of the dash, and the relays click just before the heat comes on for a few minutes. Of course that was an invitation to smack things with the screw driver. OOPS If there are no heater fuses hiding, besides the ones over the parking brake, I've now also destroyed the unit. Blocks of wood on the vacumm actuators, and wiring the fan direct will work with my unemployment check just fine. BRrrrrr it cold in the car...
View 2 RepliesI have a 97 E-150 with A/C. When I turn on the climate control unit to either heat or a/c and the blower motor fan control switch to any setting I do not feel anything coming from any vents above or below the dash. However every once in awhile I can hear that it is putting a small strain on the motor as the motor tends to bog down a little like it normally does when the a/c is on. When the heater control unit is turned off there is no strain on the motor.
I don't want to go replacing things and blowing money that isn't necessary on parts that aren't bad. I would like to get this fixed before the cold weather actually gets here.
I'm wondering if there is a 100% way to check and see if my climate control module is bad. No lights work on it, it doesn't turn on the ac or the blower. I took it off it all seems to be decent from what I can tell. But its just not working.
View 1 RepliesI've had problems with "phantom" or "ghost" wipers on my 1998 Dodge Caravan for the last few years. They come on at random, whether the switch is engaged or not, and stay on for random times, sometimes continuously. No manipulation in the multifunction switch changes the operation. They just come on and go off as they please. Furthermore, the climate control blower will often act up, not coming on right away, sometimes taking several minutes of driving before it starts blowing. I've also noticed a very occasional problem with the instrument panel not functioning and then later starting to work again. I've seen a lot about the BCM being the problem, but it would seem like if the BCM was malfunctioning it wouldn't ever work right. This FEELS like a grounding or wiring damage issue.

View 2 RepliesI have a 2010 Prius and I leave the climate control on. When I start the car the AC will only work sometimes. I can run errands, where I make 5 stops shutting the engine off each time. It will be hotter then heck in the cabin and after starting the car the ac won't blow air out the vents. Sometimes I can shut the car off and restart it and then the AC will turn on. When it actually blows air, it's nice and cold. If the car is on and the AC won't work, I will turn down the climate control to the coldest setting and it still won't come on. But the next time I start the car the AC might work fine. To me, it seems like a relay or something electrical isn't turning the ac on when the car is turned on. Or maybe the blower motor is getting stuck.

Now that the summer has finally arrived the southern Finland I found a problem with my climate control. When the car gets hot from the sun and the climate control starts cooling it takes up to 2 minutes until I get cold air from the vents. It doesn't matter if I let it run on the AUTO-mode or that I turn the temperature all the way to the LOwest position with full "thrust".
I checked the service history of my car and the AC has been serviced and filled last summer. (the basic fast service method). I didn't want to service it again since I'm afraid that all that money would have gone to waste. I haven't found any leaks tho. The radiator is pretty beaten up from all the debris and road salt tho.
I just bought a 2007 and my Multi Information Display does not work properly on the climate control screen or information screen. ie when you press temp up or down buttons it sometimes works and when you want to change the fan speed and press medium it goes to low. On the information screen no matter what you select it goes to Trip information screen. However the Audio screen works perfectly.
View 3 RepliesFrom time to time, climate control will stop working. Buttons are not lit up or responsive, fans do not work, and computer doesn't show outside temperature. Problem can last a day, an hour, 10 minutes, or any other time frame. Most of the time once it stops working it will not start working until left parked and locked overnight. Sometimes when we start driving it would all of a sudden start working on its own. This has happened during multiple seasons and multiple weather conditions.
I took the car to Lexus dealer who decided it would be a smart idea to replace the whole climate control unit in the dash, well this past weekend the problem occurred again with brand new climate control unit in place.
My 2005 Ford F-150 Lariat 4x4 5.4l V8. the climate control system will not let me lower the fan speed or let me change the airflow direction. and my heated seats will not work as well.. i looked at the fuse it was good.. and un-plugged the battery for 3 minutes.
View 2 RepliesRX450h Climate Control ... This is annoying and all my riders complain about the A/C Auto mode on this car. Here is the issue in Auto Mode with the inside temp set at 72 degrees, and the outside temp is cold anywhere from 55 to 65 degrees the A/C always blows cold air into the car. I can never get heat to flow into the car. The manual says that auto controls the a/c flow, fan speed, and vents like auto in almost every car. What is wrong here? The A/C is always on blowing cold air regardless of the temperature set inside the car. To me it seems that the temperature setting for both passenger and driver do not work.
View 12 RepliesJust purchased a 2008 F250 V10 Crew Cab with 64,000 miles. The truck has some electrical issues that didnt show up during the test drive/inspection. It seems that the HVAC head unit causes some interesting things to happen. The most obivous problem is that when you turn the climate control on and turn the fan speed up the CC will not work. If you turn the fan off but leave the HVAC control on CC starts working. At this point you can turn the fan speed back up and everything stays working. Not sure if its related but it also has the printer noise going on behind the dash which Ive read is the one of the blend door actuators going bad and the keyless entry pad will not accept a personal code(everything else works on it, factory code, lights up, two button lock). Any checks?
