My 2005 Ford F-150 Lariat 4x4 5.4l V8. the climate control system will not let me lower the fan speed or let me change the airflow direction. and my heated seats will not work as well.. i looked at the fuse it was good.. and un-plugged the battery for 3 minutes.
View 2 RepliesFrom time to time, climate control will stop working. Buttons are not lit up or responsive, fans do not work, and computer doesn't show outside temperature. Problem can last a day, an hour, 10 minutes, or any other time frame. Most of the time once it stops working it will not start working until left parked and locked overnight. Sometimes when we start driving it would all of a sudden start working on its own. This has happened during multiple seasons and multiple weather conditions.
I took the car to Lexus dealer who decided it would be a smart idea to replace the whole climate control unit in the dash, well this past weekend the problem occurred again with brand new climate control unit in place.
Just purchased a 2008 F250 V10 Crew Cab with 64,000 miles. The truck has some electrical issues that didnt show up during the test drive/inspection. It seems that the HVAC head unit causes some interesting things to happen. The most obivous problem is that when you turn the climate control on and turn the fan speed up the CC will not work. If you turn the fan off but leave the HVAC control on CC starts working. At this point you can turn the fan speed back up and everything stays working. Not sure if its related but it also has the printer noise going on behind the dash which Ive read is the one of the blend door actuators going bad and the keyless entry pad will not accept a personal code(everything else works on it, factory code, lights up, two button lock). Any checks?
View 1 RepliesI have a 2012 toyota camry with the JBL system. i replaced one of my factory door woofers with a aftermarket one. i cranked the volume up to the loudest, and then suddenly all the sounds going to all my speakers went dead.
I tried checking all the fuses that i saw said "Audio system" in both my engine bay and my driver instrument. Nothing was burnt out. even tried disconnecting the battery.
When i try to turn up or turn down the volume, no numbers show up. (showing which volume setting its at) its just blank.
Even tried the steering wheel volume control. I really don't know what else to check.
I have a 2008 LS360L with 4-zone climate control. For whatever reason, the rear seat controls and display do not work for climate control. The controls still work for radio, rear seat adjustment and window shades, but climate functions are unoperable.
Additionally, the 4-zone buttons on the nav touchscreen are now missing in the climate menu. There used to be left / right passenger settings and then a button to switch to rear seat settings. These options have all disappeared from the menu.
I can press the 4-zone physical button on dash and manually change temperature settings for driver or passenger by pressing physical driver / passenger temperature up / down buttons.
The only thing I can attribute to this is I had the dealer do a map upgrade to the nav system. All other features / functions work, but the timing is somewhat suspect... They really do not believe this upgrade caused the problem.
Are there hidden menus I may have hit to deactivate this feature?
I just bought a 2007 and my Multi Information Display does not work properly on the climate control screen or information screen. ie when you press temp up or down buttons it sometimes works and when you want to change the fan speed and press medium it goes to low. On the information screen no matter what you select it goes to Trip information screen. However the Audio screen works perfectly.
View 3 RepliesI've got a 2004 Silverado 2500, crewcab, longbed with a 8100cc gas engine. The truck has 80,000 miles and is in great condition. There's just one little problem - the climate cntrol system will occassionally go to completely hot. When it started a couple years ago, it was weeks between occurences. Now it's about every day and can be multiple times a day. When the system goes to hot, the only way to get back to the proper setting is to turn off the ignition and then restart.
It was happening on both the driver and passenger sides, but the first attempt to repair this issue was to change the envirenmental control computer - now the heat only happens on the driver side. The passenger side remains as set.
I just noticed that my rear heat doesnt work. The A/C DOES work, however. Where to start troubleshooting?

View 2 RepliesOk my 2004 F150 has been messing up lately. The 4wd doesn't work. Pretty sure that's the actuators however, now it is riding EXTREMELY rough! Every time I turn the wheel to turn into a parking lot and then proceed to enter the lot something in the front end pops! Loudly! It sounds like popping out a dent like its loud! What it is. I just know 4wd doesn't work, there is a loud popping noise when I hit pot holes or turns. I CANT even go off road now because of the popping noise and also it is extremely extremely rough. Any clues on what's up?
View 3 RepliesSo in the past week only on certain days I have lost my ability to change zones for where my nice refreshing cold air blows on me from. It only blows out of the defrost vents. I here a fluttering noise under the dash when this happens. Also under the hood where all the AC hoses and such are located I feel cold air coming from inside the black box just next to what looks like the blower fan assembly. I don't believe I should be feeling that.

View 2 RepliesI have a 2010 Prius and I leave the climate control on. When I start the car the AC will only work sometimes. I can run errands, where I make 5 stops shutting the engine off each time. It will be hotter then heck in the cabin and after starting the car the ac won't blow air out the vents. Sometimes I can shut the car off and restart it and then the AC will turn on. When it actually blows air, it's nice and cold. If the car is on and the AC won't work, I will turn down the climate control to the coldest setting and it still won't come on. But the next time I start the car the AC might work fine. To me, it seems like a relay or something electrical isn't turning the ac on when the car is turned on. Or maybe the blower motor is getting stuck.
View 16 RepliesNow that the summer has finally arrived the southern Finland I found a problem with my climate control. When the car gets hot from the sun and the climate control starts cooling it takes up to 2 minutes until I get cold air from the vents. It doesn't matter if I let it run on the AUTO-mode or that I turn the temperature all the way to the LOwest position with full "thrust".
I checked the service history of my car and the AC has been serviced and filled last summer. (the basic fast service method). I didn't want to service it again since I'm afraid that all that money would have gone to waste. I haven't found any leaks tho. The radiator is pretty beaten up from all the debris and road salt tho.
Have a 2002 SC lariat with climate control. A few weeks ago, the system stopped blowing air. It seems the brains still work for temp control as I can adjust the temp and the natural flow air through the system will change temp.
I heard a sputtering noise from the fans a few weeks ago at about the time it quit. Is this because the servo motors for the fans quit or if it would be something from the controls?
Recently my Climate Control System on Gen 3 has been misbehaving. A few weeks ago, I could not get cold air out of the AC, and then just as quickly as it stopped working, it started working again. Then yesterday, I started noticing coolant temps on the Scan Gauge rising to 215 - 220 F, which seemed quite a bit higher than the 195 limit I had set for operating with grill blocking, so I turned on the Heater and brought it down to 195, and when I got home, I checked and the coolant level seems OK, and it was under pressure.

View 8 RepliesThere is an intermittent buzz coming from the center console of my 2010 Prius trim level 2. It seems to be coming from the climate control system. It lasts for about three seconds, and it sounds like a fan with a bad bearing or rubbing against something else.
The buzz occurs when starting the vehicle after it has been off for several hours, and intermittently while driving (maybe once every couple of days), and exactly one minute after powering off. It began occurring a few months ago.
I have a 2005 6.0 f350 lariat... My climate control doesn't switch very well I can get it to go to floor sometimes after 15min of pressing the button. The vacuum pump is good the tank has no cracks. I feel that the system is either plugged up or has a leak. I cleaned the tank after my hub seals went and it sucked a ton of dust and dirt through my wheel bearings in to the tank. Is the vacuum switching part of the digital display? Or is there a separate part?
View 1 RepliesRX450h Climate Control ... This is annoying and all my riders complain about the A/C Auto mode on this car. Here is the issue in Auto Mode with the inside temp set at 72 degrees, and the outside temp is cold anywhere from 55 to 65 degrees the A/C always blows cold air into the car. I can never get heat to flow into the car. The manual says that auto controls the a/c flow, fan speed, and vents like auto in almost every car. What is wrong here? The A/C is always on blowing cold air regardless of the temperature set inside the car. To me it seems that the temperature setting for both passenger and driver do not work.
