Parked my car in freezing temperatures overnight and noticed the door handle's unlock button is frozen and does not work. Was still frozen after my 45 minute drive to work. Try spraying it overnight with windshield washer to prevent freezing and ice damage?
View 9 RepliesLock/unlock button on door handle failed? Over the past couple of weeks mine has iced up a couple of times. I'm pretty sure water is getting behind the button and freezing. Now it seems like the button only works intermittently, and it definitely has a spongy feel to it when you press it. Off to the dealer I guess. Though if it's because of ice it's probably going to fail every year.....

View 1 RepliesI've owned my F for almost a year now and in the year I've owned it I've have three times where the doors won't open using the handle or remote to unlock the door.
The only way I've been able to gain access inside is to roll the windows down using the remote control, then open the door handle from the inside.
I have found my"new" 04 Phaeton not unlocking by touching the door handle. I also noticed the trunk won't open when I press the bottom of the logo. Yes I do have the technology package so that isn't the issue. I was wondering if it is a software issue.

If one were to go and say have the passenger of the vehicle tap the passenger side front door handle will that unlock the car in the same regards as touching the drivers door handle? For example if I were putting something in the trunk and had the FOB in my pocket and the passenger wanted to get in but I still had the FOB could they unlock the car the same way I would with the driver's door? My car does not allow the passenger to unlock the doors. Can it be programmed to have this work? Furthermore, is there a way to program the drivers door handle to unlock all the doors instead of just the drivers side door?

View 7 RepliesLast week out of the blue, the lock/unlock button the driver's side door stopped working altogether. It's not stuck, as I can definitely feel it click when pressed. Also, the passenger side button works just fine. This is very annoying after spending a year without ever having to use the actual key fob.
View 7 RepliesI have a 2008 Prius Touring HB. A few months ago, I left the car on Acc mode by mistake and drained the 12V battery. Had to use the manual key to get in the vehicle and jump start the vehicle. Since then I have not been able to open the drivers side door with the SKS and touch sensor. I can lock the door by pressing the black button the handle. Battery in teh FOB appears to be functioning well. Doors unlock when I touch the passenger side handle or the latch on the rear hatch. Key button is up (SKS is operational).
I am not sure if I may have done something when jump starting that turned off the sensor feature of the driver side handle.
When I hit the unlock button on my key fob or inside the car the one door just doesn't want to unlock.. I have had someone tell me before that i can unhook my battery for 15mins then do something else.. I can't remember what they said.

View 1 RepliesStarting a few weeks ago, my drivers side door of my 2007 Camry doesn't unlock either with the keypad or by using the button within the car. Someone broke something off in the lock eons ago so now I'm just climbing over the passengers side which stinks. This isn't happening all the time, usually just when I'm in a rush But it's happening more frequently.
View 3 RepliesHere is what is happening, if I press the unlock and lock button on remote or from any switch in the car , the front passenger door will not unlock! all of the doors will lock and unlock, except the front passenger dorr will not unlock only, it does lock,just not unlock, i think it may be a bad motor or actuator, I am sure it will be covered under the CPO warranty, especially since its only been less than 1 week since i had it.

I also have a 2012 Honda CRV, and I'd like to set the key fob/car behavior like the CRV, in that when I click the unlock button, all doors open, instead of the 'classic' behavior one click drivers-side, two clicks both sides - is there a way to set this up ?
Also, I used to have a 2005 Honda Accord, and it had a neat option/behavior - hold down the unlock button after unlocking the car, and the driver and passenger side windows go down - pretty handy when you've parked the car during a hot day - can program that into the key fob/car ?
My 2013 Sonata, just out of the blue decided the driver side door push button wouldn't work anymore. it seems like it gets stuck when it's depressed, I can manually "pop" it back out and press the button and the doors lock/unlock but becomes stuck again.
