I have a 2015 sonata sport 2.0t. Great car so far. I have recently started hearing noises in the driver seat when I turn corners ? It's almost a clicking back into place sound and always does it around corners. I took it to my dealership and they could not replicate the problem of course.
View 6 RepliesJust noticed the drivers bucket seat has started making squeak noises when driving over patchy roads. I know that using lube can solve it. My question is can the average person do this and does the seat have to be removed to fix the noise. It looks like 4 bolts will remove it, Now the tricky part. I have looked under the seat and see an electrical cable does this have to be unplugged and do I have to remove the Neg battery cable?
View 10 RepliesWhen you have the key in the ignition and have it so the steering wheels moves up and outta the way too? My seats sounds like 3-5 seconds of some serious farting action. Not good when on the phone and someone asks, "whats was that?" I am sure its the leather rubbing on the side of the console, but god damn will it ever stop!? Only 5K on the touareg, so maybe it will go away sooner or later...
View 9 RepliesIt makes knocking noises from all four corners, but mainly, when I make a hard right turn and it knocks it feels like the guts is going to fall out of it. It leaks tremendous amounts of oil from one side of the car to the opposite under the engine, but on checking the oil level, it does not require much topping up. Sometimes when making a hard turn, it's like there is no power steering. After spending copious amounts of money on it, and the problems not going away, the mechanic said to get rid of it. Also, when unlocking the doors manually or by remote, the back left passenger door makes a loud electrical buzzing noise that only started happening after the mechanic fixed the warning lights that kept coming up. That door no longer opens from the outside which means it won't pass a warrant. It was suggested it might be the solenoid? After getting into the car, you can hear a buzzing coming from around the radio area, and I haven't even inserted the key yet. It's such nice looking car and when it drives right, is awesum..

View 2 RepliesI have a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan. Back in November 2014 my car began giving me trouble starting, making clicking noises when I turn the key. My mechanic told me I needed an alternator so I had him install one. A few weeks after that I had the same problem. He told me a wire leading to the alternator was bad and he replaced it. A few weeks after that the exact same thing happened. He said another wire was bad. I asked him to check all the wires, which he says he did. Back in June of this year my car started giving me problems starting again. Every now and then it would click when I turned the ignition key. Finally, I went back to my mechanic and this time he said I needed a new starter. This was July. Then, last week, my battery light came on while I was driving. Long story short, I had to replace my alternator again. It's only been 9 months! Coupled with all this, both my back lights are out; my right turn signal is out, most of the time, every now and then it works, and sometimes my windshield wipers won't come on.
View 6 RepliesI have a 2003 Camry 'SE Automatic with almost 18,000 miles - that's right, low mileage. This week the steering wheel started making squeaky noises when I turn it. It doesn't matter which way I turn, it will squeak and it doesn't happen all the time. Should I be worried and what can I do about it?
NOTE: This started happening the day after we had got an 1 or 2 of snow. That morning when I opened the door to get the brush/scraper and little snow fell in the driver's side of the car. Perhaps a little fell on the steering wheel.
I have an 2001 S 80, T6, with 74K miles. I love the car but have had an issue with it since I bought it in 2004. I hear random clunks, pops, and bang noises in all 4 corners. I can't recreate the noises, they just occur randomly. But they can be loud! I have had the dealer inspect it a few times always telling me that everything looks okay.
View 29 RepliesHaving a fan like sound apparently coming from the gas tank, but different than what everybody is saying is the fuel pump- its not a whirring sound under the drivers seat and not while the engine is running. I have heard this a couple of times after the engine has been off a few hours of sitting in my garage, and then after a few minutes it goes away. The last time, I opened the fuel filler cap and the fan sound stopped immediately.
View 4 RepliesOver the past 9 months with the Sonata, I haven't really noticed anything that I dislike about the car. The 1 thing I dislike the most, that I can't change, is the "pick-up style parking brake". However, the other thing that I CAN change is.
When driving with the front windows down, the passenger seat belt flaps around and hits the pillar from time to time. It's pretty loud; to the point where it can be startling if you don't know it can happen. I'm trying to figure out a way to remedy, but if someone already has, how so?
I have a 2015 Sonata 2.0t limited with 12k miles. Just few weeks back I started hearing a noise when I would step on the accelerator after a full stop, when the auto hold feature was turned on.
With the auto hold feature off and my foot on the brake, I don't hear that sound when I release the brake. It only happens when the car is stopped and the auto hold is on and i step on the accelerator.
I took it to the dealer and he is saying the brake calipers need to be cleaned up. I'm not convinced it's the brake because I don't hear the sounds when I don't use the auto hold. What can I do to fix this?
I traded in my 2015 for a 2016. I had the hesitation in my 2015 when moderately accelerating out of corners. So far in the last 1000 miles on my 2016, no hesitation.

I have noticed that it just started making a loud clicking noise when moving forward and backward. Is this a motor issue, something under the seat, or maybe just a lubricant issue?

Seems like i can press the button and it comes back in a minute. I tried holding it down.
Also, the seat belt chime. I take off my belt once I get in a parking lot, and the chime is annoying as hell.
My car started making a loud, high pitched "whooping" and "whining" noise when making corners. The pitch is medium to high and variable. It kind of sounds like wet rubber on glass (like a squeegee). The first time it happened I thought it was a police siren, like when they sound the siren in short bursts "whoop! whoop!". But now the sound is more like a prolonged whine/groan. The sound might be coming from the steering column, but I can't be sure. Its definitely on the driver's side and in the front.
The sound is not related to braking. It doesn't happen on every turn. It can happen when starting from a stop or when already in motion. It happens on both flat ground and hills. At first it seemed to happen on cold days and only in the morning. I think this might have been a coincidence since now it happens throughout the day, every day.
My car is a 1993 honda accord with approximately 315,000 miles.
Took my car in for 10k mile service and let them know there has been some clicking noise coming from the front suspension when making a left/right turn...
I dropped off my car on September 21st and they have yet to complete my car... I've called them every single day since but, I don't get a good explanation from the dealer...
New owner of a GX 460. Noticed that when driving in the parking garage and turning around the corners, the wheels make screeching noise. the GX 460 is not a very big SUV but it feels like i'm driving a huge truck when trying to turn.
And also need confirmation that during normal driving, the central differential should be disconnected, which means a yellow icon showing on the dial, i.e., a yellow icon that shows a cross in between the four wheels.
I'm pressing the button up on the drivers console and on the rear door but it won't go up. It went down no problem but it won't come back up. Checked all fuses and they're fine.
View 4 RepliesPurchased a few days ago a new 2015 Sonata 2.0T Limited with 8-miles on it. Rolled down my driver window, came down automatically, but rolling up it stopped as soon as I let go of the button. On the other hand, passenger side works just fine.
