My front left fog light has stopped working, yes i did check the bulb and they are good, I actually went ahead and got a test light and tested if there was any power coming from the plug and there isn't why would this be? the right side is working perfectly fine...
View 14 Replies I installed a trailer wiring kit for my Tiguan (etrailer.com). All was working fine until a few months ago. I am now having issues with my passenger rear tail light (does not come on for brakes / turn signal / hazard). The running light works.
At the present time the trailer wiring kit is disconnected. When I went to check this out it seems that some water had got in the seal on the light and there was some corrosion on the plug/connector. Initially I thought that was the issue, but it does not seem to be.
The light bulbs / connectors work fine (tested on opposite side). I checked the fuses and can't find an issue. Power is getting to the light but the the voltage on the rear tail light is very low (0.1-0.5V) compared to 8-10V on for the drivers side. I'm wondering if this is a bad relay or some corrosion somewhere else?
- What fuse(s) are for the tail lights?
- Is there a flasher relay that I may need to replace?
Noticed a clicking noise when only turning left out of a parking lot today? What this could be? Sounds like it was coming from the driver side front wheel?

View 10 RepliesI took my car in the other day for 4 new tires at 8am I drive home 2 miles from the place. I work nights so I sleep all day. As I was going to work at 11pm I noticed it sounded like the front drivers side tire was rubbing up against the car when I turn the wheel from left to right. I took it back to the place I got the tires from. I thought something might be adjusted wrong or something. They call me to tell me that the tires are fine and the problem is that I need a new power steering pump. There was no noise or steering problem previous to me getting the tires.
I took it to pep boys (the only place open last night). They say the pump needs to be replaced along with racks and pinions..etc. I ask if the leak can be slowed or stopped with one of those stop leak products and they say no. The fluid just drains right out. Is there something the guy that put my tires on could have messed up to cause this problem?
I spent a lot for the tires and within 5-10 miles later this problem starts. The car has over 250000 miles on it and I cant justify spending that much money to repair it but at the same time Im in a bind financially (medical bills, divorce) to get another car right now. I realize even if they did mess it up when they put the tires on, they wont admit to it anyway.
Alright so I'm having a problem with my 2003 Ford Explorer. I've recently noticed that when I get to above 40 mph, if my steering wheel is straight, I hear a loud kind of grinding or humming sound coming from my left driver side front. If I am going about 65 mph, it gets even louder and if I crank the steering wheel to the left, that's when it really gets noisy but as soon as I crank it to the right, the problems gone. When I do hear the hummin sound, I can feel it in the steering wheel. I have replaced al of the tires and it didn't work. Also, the car slightly pulls me to the right.

View 2 RepliesSo sometimes my front drivers headlight and drivers taillight decides not to work. Sometimes one will work and the other wont and other times they all will be working fine. I've checked the fuses and the bulbs and they both are fine.
View 10 RepliesSo yesterday I come out of a store and hit the button on my remote and pull my handle and nothing.. I hit the button a few more times i and i hear it clicking but its not unlocking..
So I climb in and unlock it from the inside and start locking and unlocking it and finally it starts working again.. I get home car sits for a few hours and i head out to walmart door opens fine when I leave walmart it is fine.. this mourning taking my son to the sitters it was fine and leaving there to go to work it was fine..
At lunch at work it wouldn't open again no matter what i tried i couldn't get it to work.. i call the dealer and have an appointment in the AM for them to check it out..
On a side not one of my drivers side front speaker in the same door is cutting in and out and hisses every now and then..
My drivers front signal does not work. its not the bulb. took headlight assembly out and then the passanger side did not work and the drivers side did. check passenger side. now it switched again. now drivers side is out and passenger side works. both parking lights work fine. no clue what's going on

Recently 2 of front driver side speakers stop working(1 on dash,1 on door) only when I listen to radio and stream music from my iphone. I played with the L/R F/R balance and made sure about it. However when I got phone call and using navigation guidance voice it works no problem.

I also realized that the left side turn indicator (blinker) light is not working and when I popped it out I saw the wires were chewed up, I am not sure what happened. Do you think I need to remove the wheel well liner to try to access that area? What to do?
View 14 RepliesSo on my girlfriends 2000 echo I get the classic bad wheel bearing noise/vibration on the front left (driver side) wheel. Worsens under load (right turn) and goes away when unloaded (left turn). I've replaced left side bearing, CV axle, brake rotors/pads and the noise still persists. My next thought is maybe the ball joint but humming/vibration tells me something out of rotational balance. Bearing in the transmission? I don't know. I'm stuck.

Just bought the truck used and it's my only issue, waiting on a owners manual, but I think each bulb is fused separate, and since half the bulb works, can I rule out the fuse and start chasing wires ??

View 6 RepliesI have a 2011 tiguan 2.0tdi 4motion, around 3 days ago the left headlight dipped beam stopped working, I replaced the bulb with no avail, the sidelights, and high beam work, just nothing on dipped beam, at first the warning lamp illuminated with the message on the screen, of check left dipped beam, I've checked and have no voltage going to the connection the bulb connects to, now the warming light and message have dissapeared but still no headlight. Where to locate the fuse for the headlight...
View 4 RepliesMy driver side brake light is not working. I noticed it yesterday after changing my front brake pads. The bulb won't light up. I changed the bulb and didn't fix it. I checked fuses and all were good. The running light and turn signal both work on the tail light and the passenger tail light is fine and everything works on it. A couple hours after I noticed the driver side tail brake light wasn't working the hatch brake light went out. Not sure if it was just bad timing for the bulb to go out or not. I think I may just need to get a new wire harness for it. Not sure.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2006 Sonata that the driver side fog light stop working. I assumed it was a bulb from the posts I read. However when I replaced the bulb I noted it still did not work and I checked the replacement as well as the original bulb with an ohm meter and found both bulbs were good. So I wiggled the socket & wiring to see if there was a break or short but nothing seemed to fix the problem. Since the fog light on the other side still works, I did not check for a blown fuse.
View 1 RepliesThe brake light on the driver side doesn't work. The center window brake light works as does the passenger's side brake light. My first thought was the bulb, but when I just have my tail lights on it works just fine. From what I can tell it's obviously the same blub so I don't know where to go from here. The fuse that controls the brake light also controls all of the brake lights so I don't think that would be it since only one side is out. Trying to avoid going to the dealership if I can.

All lights work including driver's side tail lights. only problem is that when pressing brake pedal, the driver's side brake light does not light up. i changed the bulb and checked the brake light fuse under the hood, but it was fine (as i guessed since the passenger side and middle brake lights work). I took the assembly off and reseated the connector to the tail light assembly, but same issue.
