View 3 RepliesBefore some days I couldn't open sometimes the doors with the keyless access. I have to try two or three times till the key to be recocnized. I changed the batteries but the problem still remains. Now I cannot even start the engine I receive the message "Key Not Found" ... This could be a faulty antenna or the Kessy Module?
View 6 RepliesSo the dealer replaced my homelink buttons for the delaminating. The light that lights up when you press the button is not present in the cutout. Rather than drag the truck all the way back to the dealer, I was hoping to pop the cover off and reposition it myself.
View 5 RepliesI put in keyless start about a year ago (best mod ever) and about three weeks my keyless access stopped working. Keyless start works fine. Supposedly I need something called a Kessey module. Is there any chance the two are related? Is the Kessey module the thing you put the extra wires into for the keyless start or is it an entirely separate module?
View 16 RepliesI got in my truck yesterday morning and as soon as I turn the key, the volume starting increasing to as loud as it would go, as I attempted to turn it down, it fights me and turns up. The only way to stop the madness is to turn off the radio all together. I then noticed that I was unable to access my MFI from the steering column and the Volume buttons do not work there as well.
If I cycle power on the stereo a few times the volume increase will stop......until I touch any setting on the stereo, then the gremlins take over once again.

I try to lock the treg with the button on drivers door handle and nothing happens. All other door buttons work fine. Am I in for a new door handle or just another software quirk?

I always use my key to interact with the automobile, but used my wife's fob today and had two alarms while shutting the engine down. Both fobs are "keyed" to the truck and have never been reprogrammed. Weird and humiliating to a degree. Our guests must have thought I was stroking myself. What's the deal?
View 6 RepliesI recently had a new TPM Module installed by the Dealer. Today before loading one of my 19" Summer Wheel/Tire with a TPM sensor into the back, I went into the menu to turn off the TPM system, and there is no option to turn it off.
So I loaded the wheel/tire into the back, and took my chances in getting an error message in the MFI. But to my surprise, I did not get any error messages.
What gives? Can I get the option back in the MFI with a Vag, or does the new module just not have the "off: option? And why didn't I get an error message with a fifth wheel/tire with a TPM sensor laded in the Treg?
I have someone with a VAG-COM coming into town to disable TPMS, but I cant get my tpms module disconnected. I can feel the wire harness, but I cant figure out how to release it.
View 7 RepliesI had a leaky sunroof issue over the weekend. I was driving in rainy weather on I-80 in Sacramento and water started pouring (very steady drip) out of corner of the compass module on Saturday. A few minutes later it started dripping out of another plastic seam towards the rear view mirror.
The head liner also started getting saturated near the compass. I took it to the dealer Monday to fix some other issues, and they said they could not replicate the leak problem, but that they did blow out the drain plugs. I guess my question would be, even if the drains were blocked, how would water get down the head liner and into the compass area?
I look and it appears that the only holes in the sunroof tray are on the sides, which I assume are the drain holes. Did my dealer really do anything by blowing out the drain holes? Additionally, I have only had my Treg for 2 months and have not used the sunroof much due to the weather this year.

View 4 RepliesOn the way to lunch today, I stopped at a store and ran in for about 10 minutes. When I get back in my 'egg, I notice that the steering wheel airbag module has "popped" or "sprung" out of place. Instead of being flush, it is now sticking out and creating quite the safety hazard, I'm sure.

Has scanned the car while had the airbag fault present and if so, is this the usual harness that needs to be changed?
How to recode in gateway park assist because someone in the service I thought didin;t mark this option and now I didn't have got pdc in my car even though that I have physically this module in my car and formerly it was working. And another question is : Is it possible to close a windows and sunroof from the key remote control for example when I close my car I want that all windows will close automatic when I press the unlock button on key....
View 1 RepliesI had the differential control module recall/flash performed last week and now the car makes a whining noise at speeds north of 35mph. The noise seems to emanate from the front of the car (near the radiator). The dealer was able to hear the sound -- and unable to diagnose the problem. They reflashed the stepper -- and the noise remained.
They moved the stepper motor, drove the car -- and the noise remained. Finally, they put the stepper back in -- reflashed it -- and then the noise went away. Subsequently, I drove the car noise-free for about 250 miles (over several days) -- and then the noise came back. I'm also having the same problem that others report about the tight-radius binding when turning (which the flash was supposed to solve).
questions:
1) any experience of whining noise after the flash recall
2) i see that some had the stepper motor replaced...what was the underlying reason?
3) it seems that the stepper is the problem -- but could it really be the differential that's not keeping the right ratios?
I have an 04 V6, yesterday it was perfectly fine...last night we had torrential down pours, high winds and standing water... not sure if any of that matters, but this morning I went to take the kids to school and my "BRAKE" light, the ABS light, and the exhaust lights were all on. Took it to a local shop and had them check for codes. They said it was U0121... lost communication with ABS module. What should I do? I drove it a couple of miles back to the house and again earlier this evening to see if anything felt different, but all seems the same.

View 6 RepliesI purchased a 04 V8 with 22K miles. Very nice ride and huge upgrade from a Grand Cherokee. After noticing slow cranking, I took it by a dealer where we tested the battery. Electronics and battery tested OK. Dealer advised to lock the doors at night when parked in my garage.
I am still having slow cranking, and now experiencing the Traction Control module flashing and error message on the screen. ( It will disappear after I restart in a few minutes.) I am also experiencing a message that the computer is shutting down the consumer electronics.
Alternator showing 13.75-14 volts at first start up, returns to 13+ volts after 15 minutes. Cables, poor battery? I want it to start after sitting at the airport for several days.
The brakes in my new '05 Treg are really, really touchy, especially when going super slowly (1 mph or less), or stopping completely. I find it almost impossible to bring the entire vehicle to a complete stop without the vehicle "jerking" backwards - if you know what I mean. It's almost like the brakes were being operated by an on/off switch. I got the "nothing can be done, that's how they all are" speech today from my dealer. Any solutions? Different brake pads, maybe?
View 24 RepliesI get the worst wind buffeting (loud whooshing and terrible pressure) when driving with the sunroof open with all the windows completely up. And just yesterday I realized the roof opens up fully with some additional pressure (surprisingly hard pressure) after the lever is turned and I get the most unbelievable eardrum crushing pressure/ noise until I crack a window or two. I'm not kidding, its unbearable at pretty low speeds.
This seems like a serious design flaw (and should have been tested and corrected) not to mention extremely annoying as I can't use the sunroof without opening the windows.
