1991 Bonny sse. Is the BCM located under the relay panel ? The fan wire harness goes under the relays. Just need to know if it is under the hood. I have the cover off the relay panel but don't see the module. Fan will not shut off. Had to disconnect the battery cable.

I had the differential control module recall/flash performed last week and now the car makes a whining noise at speeds north of 35mph. The noise seems to emanate from the front of the car (near the radiator). The dealer was able to hear the sound -- and unable to diagnose the problem. They reflashed the stepper -- and the noise remained.
They moved the stepper motor, drove the car -- and the noise remained. Finally, they put the stepper back in -- reflashed it -- and then the noise went away. Subsequently, I drove the car noise-free for about 250 miles (over several days) -- and then the noise came back. I'm also having the same problem that others report about the tight-radius binding when turning (which the flash was supposed to solve).
questions:
1) any experience of whining noise after the flash recall
2) i see that some had the stepper motor replaced...what was the underlying reason?
3) it seems that the stepper is the problem -- but could it really be the differential that's not keeping the right ratios?
Touareg :: Slow Cranking - Traction Control Module Flashing And Error Message On Screen
I purchased a 04 V8 with 22K miles. Very nice ride and huge upgrade from a Grand Cherokee. After noticing slow cranking, I took it by a dealer where we tested the battery. Electronics and battery tested OK. Dealer advised to lock the doors at night when parked in my garage.
I am still having slow cranking, and now experiencing the Traction Control module flashing and error message on the screen. ( It will disappear after I restart in a few minutes.) I am also experiencing a message that the computer is shutting down the consumer electronics.
Alternator showing 13.75-14 volts at first start up, returns to 13+ volts after 15 minutes. Cables, poor battery? I want it to start after sitting at the airport for several days.
Windstar :: Location Of DRL Module On 01?
where is the actual location of the factory-installed Daytime Running Light module on a Canadian model 01 windstar ? A while back I did obtain a computer printout diagram of it's likely location but if memory serves me right the DRL module wasn't where they stated, or perhaps the diagram itself was rather ambiguous. At any rate I wasn't able to find it in order to rectify the problem.

But how did you resolve problem? replaced GPCM, found open circuit, short --if so where?-- or replaced with updated harness.

Passat (B5) :: AC Control Stopped Lighting Up
Its a 2000 Passat B5 and the lights ONLY around the AC controls have stopped lighting up. What this might be? Fuses, bulbs. I haven't tinkered with the car much since I got my Jetta.
