Dealer replaced High pressure fuel pump and fuel pump control module. So far so good.

I have a 2007 Prius 5 with 205,000 miles. Just recently, while Im driving the Red Triangle blinks on intermittently along with an annoying beeping. I took to dealer and they diagnosed error code C1300 which indicated that I needed a new "Brake actuator assembly with skid control ECU". I declined price tag because they said it's nothing critical (despite that it sounds rather important), and car will run fine without replacing this part. However, they said "nothing we can do about the intermittent red triangle and beeping".
Is this true? It's a very annoying noise. I know that it is possible to turn off the reverse beeping. Isn't there a fuse associated with "beeping" that could simply be disconnected?
My wife says the 97 3.0 2wd has an intermittent beeping of various patterns and volumes. Slow beep, fast beep, continuous beep. Not the ding bell you hear when you leave the lights on. I've only heard it once. It was continuous low volume and it stopped before I could locate the source. It seems to happen on first start up but not all the time and goes away after a few miles. What it is and how to disable it?

View 1 RepliesMy TREG beeps every time we unbuckle the seatbelt in park. Is there anyway to change this? Sometimes you have to sit with the AC on because it is really, really hot. Or you undo your belt to reach back to the kids. Actually, it seems like it beeps every time I do anything. Open the door, lift wait off of the front passenger seat, etc... Any hack to the computer system that can fix this?
View 2 RepliesI have an 05 V8. When backing out of a parking spot at close to full lock I feel it binding a bit. Also, occasionally when pulling forward (at or close to full lock) it will bind for a few seconds, then it feels like it releases. I recently drove a long (10 hours) trip and when I parked it when hot it seemed to bind/chatter even worse.
I also noticed that on slow hard turn (i.e parking lot) there seems to be a low pitched moaning sound from the rear end area. It it possible it a dreaded stepper motor, even on a 05? It is an early 05. What this might be before doing this so they don't jerk me around and say there's nothing wrong.
I can find some references to unsatisfactory sound and whining noises in the speakers, but not dead ones. The wife called me the other day, annoyed, and said that the speakers stopped working in the Treg. It appears that it is the left side, both front and back. They came back on for a little while, but now have been "dead" for a couple days. There is an occasional "pop" from the left side, but that is all.

View 1 RepliesI have an intermittent rattle sound which comes from behind the dash. It just seems to come and go, and I can't find any pattern as to when it happens. It can happen while driving or standing still. Of course, it NEVER happens when the car is at the dealership.
It sounds like a marble is back there vibrating (others have discribed this as well). I can't be sure where it is coming from, but perhaps from behind the instruments?
Others have reported it, but say only that they "turn up the radio". Sometimes I have my wife and kids in the car, so turning up the radio is just not an option. I want it fixed! What it could be???
The vehicle is a 2005 Touareg 4.2 v8 with 81k miles. I purchased from a dealership and have been having nothing but problems from the day I purchased it. (2 months ago) the day after I purchased it check engine light came on, headlight range light, air bag light, and now this noise I have owned about 15 vag cars and also own vagcom no codes pertaining to this noise... Above 10-15mph there is an intermittent whine (high pitched) for the most part the noise is there most of the time.
It does not stop when in neutral not effected when the air is off or on, does not change if you down shift, no change if the wheels are turned. I broke down and took it to a very trustworthy Audi shop in the area and you guessed it the entire way there no noise... The tech drove it no noise so I had them flush and fill the trans as it was due for it anyways. They informed me that it was dirty and I figured that it may have taken care of it. Well after a 20 minute drive home the noise started again! I took a short video....
I'm getting an intermittent brake light warning message on my otherwise perfect '04 V8. It is the bulb in the center part of the 3rd brake light. To replace it I looked for access from inside or outside. No obvious way to get to it.

Had the car towed to selling dealing (3000 miles since end of April, 05) and now waiting for a diagnosis. Dealer claims they have never seen this problem before.
View 1 RepliesOur late '04 touarg has been experiencing an intermittent tpms failure. Seems to occur only during sub-20 degree farenhiet whether and only when the 'egg is cold (i.e. parked outdoors or in an unheated garage) and generally occurrs shortly after starting/driving the car. Message we receive states that the system has failed (not flat tire/defective wheel/etc). The fault will then clear itself after around 10 minutes. Any solutions?

My car came with the Evoms CAI stage 1 with the sock. When its drawing in air I'm getting this annoying whistle sound. Ive had other intakes on my other R and this is just plain annoying.
View 19 RepliesI bought a 2010 Tiguan in April and have loved it, except for an annoying rattle in the dash. I took it to the dealer a few weeks ago and they couldn't find it. Took it back, they had it for two weeks - still couldn't find it, and ended up calling in Volkswagen engineering. Apparently, I have one of six cars that has this problem, VW is trying to find a fix. I picked up my car on Friday and realized that the bluetooth wasn't working and they'd put scratches on my dash. There were also grease marks on part of the plastic, and my gas light was on. Took it back yesterday, they fixed the bluetooth and put a small hole in my headliner in the process. I don't know what to do, the dealer said they would try to patch it, but it's right up front where I'll have to look at it all the time. I really want them to replace it, but at this point I'm worried what else they'll screw up.
