My parking assist does not work any more. red lights and and one tone front and rear when the car starts, after that I just get red lights going forward and red lights going in reverse. Any way to reset the whole system? I pulled the fuse but that didn't work.

View 5 RepliesI've been seeking opportunities to try out the parking assist features in our 2016 Prius Four Touring, as it is rather weird to have a car steer itself and it's a little tricky figuring out what to pay attention to. The parallel parking assist works quite well.
To engage the back-in parking assist, you're supposed to line up your car correctly--in a T across the back of the vacant space--and push the parking assist button twice. The first puts it into parallel parking mode, the second into back-in parking mode if available.
My wife has a 2012 ES-350 with the Parking Assist feature but NO NAVIGATION. You have to get within about 2-3 feet of an object before the warning (visual and audible) detects an object in front or the year of the car. Can the "Sensitivity" be adjusted up so it will recognize a danger long before 2-3 feet ? My LS-460 has a Sensitivity Setting in The GPS settings but since her car does not have GPS, I don't know how to adjust the sensitivity to give her more warning of getting too close to another car or object. How to do this ?
View 11 RepliesHow to install the Toyota Intuitive Parking Assist system in a US 2015 Camry XLE? Apparently, this system is sold with the 2015 Camrys elsewhere (I checked in TIS, and it is included in the 2015 Camry service manual), but not in the US.
I would dearly love to have this system in my car, because I find it difficult to judge how close I am in front to another car or other obstacle.
Where the parking assist sensor is in the front. I placed my license plate too far on the left I am assuming and the sensor is going off. For now I have just turned off the PA until after work. (is the PA a small visible circle?).
View 5 RepliesI just noticed this morning that both rear parking assist and BSD on my 2015 SFS Limited are not working. Other than the button near the shifter to turn off the audible alarm for parking, I don't recall any other buttons or settings that would turn both systems off. I won't have access to the user manual until later this evening. I did clean off the rear parking sensors but that didn't change anything. Am I missing something?? What's common? Perhaps a fuse?
View 12 RepliesMy parking assist warning system has suddenly stopped working. (2007 LS460) I'm thinking I may have disabled it while pushing some other buttons or doing something else. I changed the distance to farthest but that didn't work. It was working perfectly last week. I did disable the auto down tilt on the steering wheel. Could this have also disable the parking assist?
View 10 RepliesI can be driving down the road and "blam", the "check parking assist" comes on my nav screen. This message screen comes on and goes off all the time. It comes on when I am not around anything close. I had the parking assist sensors checked and every thing checked out OK. Could this a an electrical problem? If it becomes irritating, I just turn the parking assist off.
View 3 RepliesI took delivery of my new prius a few weeks ago and of course played around with the parking assist. However in the last few days when I press the button to start the process I simply get a double beep and nothing more happens.
I called the dealer and they don't seem to know what it is and so have booked me in to take a look at it.
Looks like the front parking assist and auto emergency braking are inoperative. I have them selected in the settings but get no beeps or warnings. The back sensors are working and I get a display warning and tone. 2016 Sonata Limited ....

I have pressed the "hold" button on the steering wheel and went to the display to make sure the parking assist volume is not at zero. however, WHY can't i hear the beep sound as i get close to objects? i would like to hear it since i am still getting used to the size of this vehicle.
View 14 RepliesI have a 2008 LS. The buzzer for my front parking assist sensors is significantly louder than when the buzzer sounds for the rear sensors. I have adjusted the buzzer volume to the loudest position (#5), but the volume of the buzzer when the rear sensors activate is still much lower than for the front sensors.
The indicators on the nav screen for all the sensors are working properly. Do you find the volume is different between the front and rear sensors or do I have a problem?
I am asking because I inadvertently backed out of a driveway into a car that was parked directly across the street. I do not recall hearing the sensor sound before I hit the other car. At the time, my sensor volume was set on #3. When I checked, I could barely hear the buzzer from the rear sensors, but could clearly hear the buzzer from the front sensors. Resetting the buzzer volume to #5 has worked a bit, but I still wish the buzzer for the rear was louder.

When it snows and I am at a stop sign or red light the FRONT system starts beeping...
And there are no cars in front of me
I have 2010 prius III with JBL E7022 navigation. I dont know why i cant get the IPA system when i put the shift to "R" and the Auto Parking Assist pre support selection button right side the steering wheel is blank.

View 2 RepliesI'd like to upgrade the head unit to something which sounds a little better and offers better A2DP streaming (the Australian Prius I-Tech doesn't offer stock Bluetooth streaming and the GROM Audio unit I am currently using to achieve this is temperamental). Everything I read suggests that you loose IPA if you do this upgrade, and while I know most people probably won't miss the feature, I personally find it very useful.

On my automatic, however, the power brake assist would often fail resulting in a couple crashes for me. There was an investigation into this in 1983 but I can't find what the outcome was - what the actual culprit was.
View 4 RepliesOK, each day my new T-Reg has a surprise. Today it was that the Park Assist showed just the red lights when in reverse. I know from the manual that this indicates a fault with the system.
I'm taking the car back to the dealer to have it diagnosed.... what should I expect? Is it as easy as hook up a computer and it says that sensor X is faulty??
Actually, the park assist seems to work when in 'D' so I assume that it's something on the back set that is faulty. The car is clean and only four days old from the dealer. I've checked the sensor exteriors and can't see anything covering them. Anything else I should check?
Recently, when I start-up my 2004 V8 Tourareg, my downhill assit feature turns on. This occurs on "level" ground. It will go away when I turn off the engine and restart. I took it to the dealer and they said I needed a new rear differential motor. Only have around 4,500 miles on the SUV with zero off-roading time.
