My 6 months treg, died climbing a hill. I selected low, than central, and rear differential, but after 100m my Treg stop. Not able to accelerate the engine.
Engine running, no message on screen!!! The acceleration was not working.
My 2011 Dodge Caliber has been acting up and I am getting NO Where with the dealership. They keep telling me they can not figure out the problem, unless it does the same thing while it is there. But I feel unsafe driving my car, due to the fact it can happen at any given time. What happens is while driving it, all of a sudden you can not accelerate, you can have the pedal to the floor and nothing maybe 5 miles is all I get. This has happened twice now, and both time I took in it. The second time it happened all I did was start the car up. NOw how would you feel if you were driving and all of a sudden this happened to you. What if I'm driving and it happens when I go make a turn, and bam I get hit. Again this sucks and piss's me off. Oh yeah I only have 10,289 miles on it.

This morning going to work, about 2 miles from my house my CHECK VSC light and TRACTION light turned ON, just get on freeway and the CHECK VSC light started FLASHING and when this occurred, the car was unable to accelerate, the car could only go about 40 mph and then slowly going up to about 60mph. I was scared and took the next exit turn around and going home. I'm at 41000 miles and out of warranty.
View 9 RepliesI have a 2010 Prius and have been driving several for the past 7 years.Yesterday, I was driving on the Expressway at 60 mph and all of a sudden I was momentarily stuck at 60 as if I was in Cruise control which I wasn't. Gradually, I was unable to accelerate when I pressed down on the pedal, lost speed and cruised over to the side of the road as if I was out of gas which I wasn't. I shut the engine off, waited a minute and started up again. I continued on my journey without a problem. When I reached my destination I shut down the engine and re started 4 hrs later and drove home 120 miles without a problem. What is the cause of this and is it still under warranty. I have 50,000 miles on the vehicle. May I add, this is the first problem ever encountered.
View 13 RepliesWell my 05 Touareg V6 is at VW waiting for a new tranny. It has approx 55,000 miles. The problem is, when i'm decreasing my speed say at 55 mph due to traffic or whatever, then begin to accelerate at approx 30mph, the engine revs slightly and the transmission kicks into gear very hard. VW test drove my VW and acknowledge that there is a serious problem with my tranny, but after 4 days, could not figure out why my tranny was doing this. So they are going to install a new tranny this week. I've already experience the hesitation problems and VW has attempted on fixing that too, but it still does it but i/wife have both have learned to live with it.

View 1 RepliesMy key got stuck in the ignition and I was unable to start it. The owners' manual shows a small hole to the left of the key slot which is poked with a paper clip to release the key. At some point the ignition in my tdi was replaced and no small hole is present. A knowledgeable tow truck operator/mechanic coaxed the key from the ignition and the tdi started when the key was returned to the ignition and turned. What is the proper way to remove a stuck key from an ignition without the little hole. I was reluctant to force it out. The ignition currently in my '04 tdi has a raised bar to the left of the key slot which I was unable to depress.

The starting motor is brisk and it really kicks over the engine but it takes 10 minutes of cranking before the engine fires up and then every thing is fine. Also, the lights on my main instrument panel will not turn on for the first 5 minutes when it is cold outside.
View 2 RepliesMy 2004 Touareg V10 TDI drives like something's not just quite right, although hard for me to put my finger on. Essentially it feels sluggish, like it doesn't downshift to accelerate as quickly as it should, and like the automatic shifting is slightly jerky. This stuff is all even more noticeable at slower speeds and going up hill, but I think it's true even on city streets.
It's happened a few times, going up a fairly steep hill, that it seems to lose power and I can't get it over 20 or 25 mph even flooring it. Then when I turn the vehicle off and then back on, it can go more or less like normal again. Still, "normal" feels to me like something less than it used to be. I've recently changed the oil and all the filters (air, oil, fuel).
The dealer's service department says they can't find anything and the computer is not giving any error codes, but I know that it's not driving right.
I have a volkswagen jetta glx vr6.Today my key wont turn (unable to crank engine) and the car won't detect my key (no remote entry/lock function).I've detached the battery.
Plugging the batter back and keeping the key in:
1. Off position causes the "Electronic Immobilzer" light to blink.
2. When in on position. no "electronic immoblizer light comes on.
3. In anycase I can't get the ignition to work.
My engine check/airbag lights are also on and my radio/ac doesn't work. Also the electronic controls for rear view mirrors don't work. Half of the tail (exaust) pipe rusted and has fallen off.On the funny sideI asked the guy at VW to appraise my jetta for a trade and he said it would be $500 for the car !! ONLY After the company official tested the car this won't start...the sales person left, since it was 6PM on Friday. I was left alone and had no option other than to leave my car at Pugi VW showroom and ask a friend for a ride...Long story.
Enjoying taking trex out in the snow here in the northeast this afternoon... When I accelerate, I hear a groan coming from the front axle and the ESP light blinks on/off.. Is it normal? Still happens if i turn ESP off...doesn't happen in my wife's glx passat (4motion), so it seems unusual to me...

View 11 RepliesI have a 93 escort with a 140,000 miles with the 1.9 and AT. Sometimes when I go to accelerate the fastest it will go is about 10mph no mater how far I have the gas pedal pushed, and the engine does not rev up at all. It just acts like I am coasting and not using the gas pedal. The car idles fine and will rev up and down when in park.
View 3 RepliesI drives grand Avega (new accent). I had a problem on my car. on instrument cluster there were no indication P,N,D,R and speedometer didn't indicate. Engine able to start normally but can't accelerate it seems like A/T transmit ion on higher shift.
Before that happened I installed a LED for additional lamp on door and I use /jumper a power from behind of fuse box.
2007 Chevy Suburban, 65K milesLet me start by saying I took this into to the dealer and they found nothing!
When I accelerate, I get a "flutter" in the engine. The best description of this flutter is that the RPMs go down about 200 or 300. I think it feels like it is sluggish when it accelerates. It is most obvious during the 35 - 60 MPH range, but you also see it when cruising at 70 MPH.
I tried adding some fuel treatment and ran some 93 octane through it to see if it was the fuel injectors, with no change in the behavior. No error messages or engine light is on. Regular oil changes and services (60K service, every 3K miles for oil change). Driving behavior has changed since I bought a Prius 3 months ago. It used to be driven 40 miles / day (+ long trips) and now is driven about 40 miles / week (+ long trips).
I have a 3.6L V6 2006 Passat and every time I accelerate, I hear this Tin-Can-like hollow noise from the engine amost like a rattle from the exhaust. Finally I was at the dealer today and I mentioned it. The mechanic came out to the car and could hear it as I revved the engine. We kind of isolated it to the FSI pump... there was also a very audible ticking noise from the engine like in the old days with valves.... He couldn't tell what's causing it?
Unfortunately they didn't have another used or client's V6 Passat VW on the lot to compare the noise to see if it is normal. Mine has 22,000 km on it. He also said a new one may not have it at first while the car is still new and tings tighter, but as one puts some mileage on it he thought the noise may start becoming louder. It makes the car feel like a cheap japanese car, rather than a nice tight engine noise one gets from a german car...
My 07 Passat 2.0T is making a noise when the engine is cold and when I accelerate. As if the exhaust manifold has a hole in it. What could be the problem? The car is throwing O2 sensor codes ...
View 8 RepliesI have a 3SFE 1997 engine. I've installed a Toga HV oil pump. My engine also has an oil cooler. But when I turn on the engine and accelerate it oil starts shooting out of the oil filter. When I remove the filter it has blown out the filters O-ring. I use 5W-30 since I've rolled it of the show room. What can it be?

problem:
1. engine light always keep flashing when driving.
2. low idle speed <500 at any gear except "Parking".
3. gear "D" at stop, start, reverse, accelerate around 50 mph, whole dashboard was vibrated
action made:
1. "dogbone" motor mount was broken and has replace brand new.
2. throttle body cleaning has done.
