Yesterday as I started my V-6 a yellow symbol came on in the top of my center multifunction display. It was a yellow circle with a small square on top of it. There was no script, no symptoms, and when I restarted, has gone away ever since. I looked in the manual but could find no information on this symbol.
View 4 RepliesA yellow key symbol appeared atop the speedometer. I searched the manual and found no reference to this. I assume this to mean the battery may be low in my key fob. Am I correct or does this mean something else?
View 12 RepliesMy yellow (circle with line on each side) warning light for brakes is on in my 2005 VW Touareg. Only 9 months ago I replaced the front pads, rotors and sensors. When I put the car in drive and start to move the warning light flashes 'check front brake pads'. Is it possible it's something simple like a sensor? Is there a way for me to check that? Side note: I replaced the rear brake pads and rotors only 5,000 miles before that. I just want to see if it could be something simple before I take it in to be checked out and told it's something more sinister. I checked the level of brake fluid and it is full.
View 3 RepliesEvery now and then I get the amber light with the triangle surrounded by a circle. Then the trans starts shifting real hard. When I restart the car it goes away, but comes back every now and then. Especially when I am in traffic after a long trip.

View 1 RepliesI have a 2007 Toyota prius base model, it has 49,845 miles. Today i got in, pressed the bake, pressed the on button, and the Red Triangle appeared with yellow exclamation point in a circle, and on the lcd monitor it shows that there is a problem and a little icon of a car with an exclamation point on it.
The car drives and runs normal, fuel mileage seems to be the same, everything looks normal except the lights. One thing I tried to do: I took off the battery clamp and i put it back on, the warning lights were gone, but as soon as the engine kicked in the same warning lights came on.
So I noticed a yellowish color inside one of my rear LED turn signal housings. When I looked closer, the plastic around LEDs on the bottom half of the outside LED circle was yellow and appeared to be melted (all LEDs worked fine though).
View 10 RepliesI have an 05 mk4 GLI. Driving to work today my car started to sputter a bit and the yellow caution triangle with the arrow circle around it turned on. It wouldn't let me accelerate and when it would change gears they would slam into place. Right after that my check engine light came on. is that triangle traction control?? Ive read many different threads but couldn't really find anything.

Then as I was turning a corner it came back on. Once again, stopped and restarted, it was gone. What may be the issue?
View 24 RepliesI've got some issues with my 2005 Toyata Prius (~150,000 miles). My wife was driving recently and the "Master Warning Light", the "Hybrid System Warning Light" and the yellow "Brake System Warning Light" all came on.
Some quick reading of the owners manual said we should take it to a dealer right away, but because it was a yellow, and not red, brake system warning light it seems ok to drive at least to a dealer. in regard to the yellow brake system light the manual said it could be that: "the regenerative brake system failed or that the hydraulic brake system failed".
Now, I have a cheap bluetooth OBD reader hooked up to the "torque" app on my phone and I thought I would try to see what error codes there were to learn more. But strangely, it did not read any fault codes. I've used this reader successfully on my 2001 Mitsubishi galant, but I'm not reading anything for the prius in this case. I'm not sure if there is legitimately no error code associate with the warning lights or if my app is just failing to read them for some reason.

Maybe its caz I pulled the seat-belt too roughly, or maybe there is something else to the story. I don't have a scanner. I don't want to go to a dealer/showroom to get the airbags replaced.
View 5 RepliesI have a 2007 Passat Wlfsburg Edition with 4,300 miles on it. In the message center it stated "Tire Pressure Too Low!" There is also a tire yellow warning light lit. I checked the tire pressure. They were all at 30 psi. I inflated them to 33 psi as stated on the door jamb. The light and message are still there. I checked the owners manual and it doesn't say how to reset it or anything. What should I do?

This is the yellow brake system warning light, not the red brake warning light or the generally similar looking yellow low tire pressure warning light. No other warning lights are on in the service indicator panel. What troubleshooting can I do myself before taking it to service facility?

Around the same time, the cooling fan in the engine compartment stays on after I stop the car - even though its Winter here in Montana. So I got the fault code read: P2181. Seems to be linked to cooling system?

2006 Prius with 164,000 miles.
First in the morning, starts fine, 500 feet later I'm turning out of neighborhood and I get lit up with:
Red triangle master light
Yellow brake warning (went away after I did signal check)
Check engine
Maint required light
The maintenance light is on because I'm 5,000 miles out of an oil change. I checked the stick, it did appear low, so I added a half quart of mobil 1 5w-30.
The inverter pump was changed due to recall in 2012, and I do still see turbulences in the fluid.
I have 3 pips of gasoline in the tank.
The 12V is a newly replaced yellowtop from elearnaid. Replaced about 1 year ago.
My wife and I are driving our 2005 Prius with 130k miles and have experienced some weirdness with the car while driving. We've got the master warning light (red triangle w/ !), and another yellow (!) warning light, plus the center display shows a red car with an !. I've gathered that it means something possibly with the brake controller, so when I parked I put the e-brake on.
The car was driving fine with these lights on (we were in the middle of Canadian highways and couldn't stop anywhere) except that cruise control would not work.
Eventually, it actually went into limp mode, where we would floor the pedal and the car would barely accelerate. Pulled over, turned it off for a few minutes, then back on and it drove fine, warning lights still on.
I just replaced the driver's front wheel hub, and I can hear the passenger front going bad, so I'm suspicious that this may be related. Just replaced the 12v within the last few months with an Optima.
