Saturn - Ion :: Auto Transmission - Key Stuck / Cannot Remove

I have a 04 Saturn Ion with auto transmission. When I go to shut off the ign. sw. after driving the ign. key won't shut all the way off and you can not remove the key. The key operates just fine. I can start the car, turn the engine off but the key won't turn all the way off to release the key. I was wondering if it could have something to do with the neutral safety switch on the transmission. How I can access it and test it to see if that is the problem?

Camry :: 2004 SE V4 With Auto Transmission - Stuck In Park

My wife have a 2004 Camry SE V4 with auto transmission. She went to TJ Max yesterday and the car is stuck in park, we had to tow the car home. Pushing the Park override button does release it and allow me to shift and drive.

The car starts, head lights, cabin lights, radio and power lock works, BUT power window and AC/climate control does not work at all, dead, no power.

My brake lights work with the exception that one bulb is dead, has been dead for a long time without causing any issues. I pulled out ALL the fuses in cabin and engine, all the fuses are in good shape. I tried looking for a Brake fuse but there is none, tripled check the big fuses but none are blown. I also tried looking for the brake solenoid by the brake pedal but, I didn't know which one it was or where it is located.

Civic - Honda :: Auto Transmission / Stuck In Park On And Off

My friend's older Honda Civic (automatic transmission)- year is 1995 - has been getting stuck in PARK off and on the past 10 days - she was shown how to "override it" by AAA by putting the car key in some slot near where the gear shifting handle is. She can shift it out of PARK and into 4th gear and then can start the car. but now sometimes she cannot get even get the car to start. It has happened about 8 times in the past 10 days. It first happened about 6 months ago -- but now it's happening almost daily. It has been very rainy here lately (in the Bay Area of Northern CA) - can this be an electrical thing that is happening? Wish I could give more details -- my friend needs her car for work - so she is a bit worried that her car may be on it's way out or headed for major repairs. Her financial reserves are not great so she'll have to find a good "used" vehicle again too.

My auto transmission in my 2007 Elantra with 125,000 miles went into default mode, stuck in 3rd gear. No codes went off. I drove it home this way, but after sitting for 90 minutes, now it works fine. I've heard about the input and output sensors. What should I replace? I went to HMA service to get info on both sensors, but it wasn't detailed enough.

Saturn - SL2 :: Power Window Stuck Down

Have a passenger front window stuck in the down position. Managed to get the door panel off and trying to just push/pull the window up manually is not working. It seems to be really stuck. The window hadn't really been working very well for a while now, but I couldn't resist trying to open it since it was hot. So it came down with no problem, but now I can't get it to close again. When i push the button, we can hear a little click somewhere near the motor of the window -- but nothing's moving. The gear that feeds into the window motor will not budge when we trying to manually rotate it. And there are 2 crossed bars running in horizontal tracks that appear to be what pushes the window up and down. Pushing up on those doesn't do anything. The thing is I don't necessarily care if the window works again, I just want to close it. 1996 Saturn SL2

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: 2000 F350 - Cannot Remove Auto Locking Hub

In my attempt to remove the auto locking hub on my 2000 F-350 4x4, I found that it would not slide out. I removed the retaing clip and the hub should of be able to come out with a couple wiggles, it seems to have seized inside the hub. I tapped it with a rubber mallet on all sides. Any thoughts as to other alternative methods of removing the hub locker ?

Ford Transmission :: Remove Transmission With Truck Rolled Over On Its Side?

I have a 2000 Expedition that is going to the wreckers, but it has a perfectly good rebuilt transmission in it. It's been sitting out in a corner of one of the fields for two years.

I was thinking of taking the tranny out as a spare - I have another 2000 Expy that's still running - and thought, rather than spend a couple days bent over and/or on my back, it might be easier to just flip it over on its side for easy access to the underside. I could take a bunch of suspension parts off at the same time.

But - I wonder - does it sound reasonable to take the tranny out in that orientation? Obviously I don't care about the rest of the vehicle, but will it be possible to gently remove the tranny without damaging it?

Saturn - Vue :: Liftgate Stuck After Glass Has Been Replaced

I recently had my rear window (liftgate) broken. The glass has been replaced but, now I cannot open the liftgate!! I know some of the glass fell down into the door. My thoughts are, maybe some glass jammed the mechanism? Is there anyway to open that door without breaking it?

Saturn - Ion :: 2002 - Won't Start - Key Stuck In Ignition

I have a Saturn Ion 2, 05. I will intermittently not start. I put the key in the ignition, power comes on, turn the key, it clicks a couple of times and then everything turns off. The key is then locked in the ignition. It is a new key. My old key looked chewed up. The only way to get the care to release my key is to open the hood and wait a few minutes and then shut the hood. Power will come back on and it will release my key. I used to be able to start it after that but now it seems like it is becoming more and more difficult to start it. I have read about a loose fuse box under the hood, replacing battery, replacing ignition switch and resetting passcode. Im not sure where to start first. I do not have the extended warranty and am on a tight budget.

Saturn :: 2001 - Knob Stuck Between A/C And Defrost?

a 2001 4-dr. Saturn sedan. We had a cold rainstorm a few nights ago while I was driving my car and my windows started to fog up. I attempted to move the switch from the vents to the defroster, and the knob stopped -- and stuck -- in mid-turn. After a bit of a struggle, I was finally able to get the switch over to defrost -- but the next day, when I again needed the A/C, the switch would not turn back. I took it to a Saturn mechanic who quoted $1,000 to fix it. I took it to another mechanic who doesn't specialize and he could only quote his labor -- about $200. It is now in the floor vent/defrost position and I can live with that -- but I would like to have it fixed some day. Is this a hopeless cause since Saturns are no longer manufactured?

Saturn :: 2001 - Wipers Stuck In Upright Position

I have a 2001 Saturn L200, in great condition—other than that the wipers are in the upright position, like goalposts. They work fine, turn on and off perfectly, but they always return to the "up" position on the windshield. As far as I can tell the rest of the electronics (i.e., lights, signals, etc) still work fine. A couple months ago the wiper blades started to slowly inch their way up, stopping at increasingly higher positions until they finally stopped where they're at now. A mechanic I talked to said that the wiper switch is burnt out and it would require ripping out the dash to replace the wiper motor, while a friend of mine thinks resetting the switch is all that's needed.

Ford Transmission :: E4OD Stuck In 1st And Shifter Stuck Between D And 1

Yesterday leaving a restaurant my truck shifted into reverse no problem but when I went into drive the shifter came all the way down to 1st and now the shifter can't go any higher than D and its stuck in 1st gear. The shifter moves with a lot of resistance between drive and 1st but never actually locking into any gear, I've taken the dash apart and I don't see any obvious damage but idk what to look for. I have also disconnected the cable from the column and now the shifter moves freely, so I hooked it back to the column and then disconnected it from the trans and it goes back to being stuck.

The key will not turn to off, stuck in acc. I have no power to the windows, sunroof, seat and seat heaters, and no brake lights, and the mirrors have no power either. I took the car to the local GM dealer who told me the ignition was not in any recall and found that the Body Control Module was bad and needed replacement.

I'm trying to remove the AC belt off a '96 Geo Prizm. I've loosened the idler pulley adjusting bolt, per my Chilton's manual, but it doesn't loosen the belt. It's as if the pulley is stuck in the bracket. Even if I completely removed the adjusting bolt the pulley wouldn't budge. How can I unstick this thing without damaging the pulley?

I needed to get part numbers off of my TCM for my 2003 Jetta GLS 1.8T and thought that they were electrostatically welded on due to dissimilar metals. I ran into a retired friend that was a VW Tech for years and he told me that they are a tension fit to the shafts and the easiest way to remove is to grab the arm with your hand and press down towards the arm while lifting the area by the shaft.

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Trying To Remove Double DIN Monsoon Unit But Stuck?

I tried to remove the double DIN monsoon unit using 4 OEM VW removal keys. The bottom went fine, the top they went all the way in. So after searching here and other forums, I know the tabs are bent. There were plenty of posts but not many were useful. I tried jiggling the radio around, angling the keys in trying to catch and even pulled the trim from around the radio to see if I could slide something in.

One post said he got it out by pulling apart the whole dash to get at the cage, which I don't want to do. The other said he brought it to the dealer and they could get it out but destroy it. I'd be willing to give that a shot to get this thing out, but not sure how to even go about it.

After changing the alternator (alternator did die and drained my battery, the shop recharged the battery) now it seems be stuck in 3rd gear and does not wont to shift (it is a automatic). Fluids are good, transmission was flushed between 50-60,000 miles.
