For the past couple of months I've started belching /burping ,it's not acid ,I get a feeling of a lump at the back of my throat and feel the need to rub my upper chest / throat to help relieve it.
I have asthma to ,not sure if the two are connected ,it's a new problem for me ,I'm 69 and was diagnosed with asthma back in 1992.
Anyone burping excessively? More like belching I have to admit. Like when guys drink too much beer. Not just once but 3-5 in a row! And all day long everyday!
View 3 RepliesI have suffered from GERD for 12 years now and am at present taking x1 30mg tablet of Lansoprazole (switched from Omeprazole) because my symptoms just lately have been getting worse. I am due to have an endoscopy once my appointment comes through. What i would like to know is whether others experience similar symptoms to me, i've listed them below:-
1) As soon as i wake up in the mornings and sit up in bed, i start burping and belching (even on an empty stomach).
2) i have a wedge pillow to keep me elevated when i sleep but also upon waking, i can feel a regurgitation sound coming up in my throat (like a crackling, popping candy type sound but no bad taste in my mouth, just this noise going up and down until i start sitting up
3) As soon as i eat or drink anything, i start to burp and belch (seems like even before the food and drink hits my stomach
Wondering if this is all GORD related? it really is starting to annoy me now.
Today, it feels like this fibroid is choking me, I am constantly belching. It feels like it's sitting so high up. Anyone have days like these. The Dr suspects that it's pedunculated and sitting on top of my uterus. And about the size of a soccer ball.
View 15 RepliesI had my first attack 10 years ago and then had them every couple of years. Despite seeing a heart specialist for 8 years and having every kind of test - nothing was diagnosed and I was discharged. I had friends telling me I was suffering from stress, panic attacks, anxiety etc. 4 weeks ago on my 60th birthday I had a severe one - it woke me up - and I ended up in hospital. A week later I had another severe one - again through the night, actually at exactly the same time and again was taken to hospital where I was given the injection. After 3 hours I was sent home, and then within 5 minutes had another one - back to the hospital, where I was kept in for 24 hours - I was put on beta blockers. I have had 5 attacks in the last 6 days, 2 only a few minutes, 1 lasting 15 minutes, another lasting 45 and finally had to go to hospital again as I had it nearly 3 hours - they doubled my betablockers. I also have low blood pressure and the second time I called the ambulance they couldn't even get my bp.
All of my attacks seem to occur through the night or when I am relaxed. As I live on my own I am now scared to go to sleep. When I lie on my left side (the way I always go to sleep) - I feel the blips and know it is going to start again, so I am trying to sleep on my back or right hand side. When having one, I get throat/neck pain have an incredible urge to pee, and belch a lot - I don't suffer from indigestion normally.problems? :?:
I was wondering if anyone can confirm these symptoms...I'm currently seeing doctors about my GERD issues, but I kind of feel like I'm alone in all this.
My issues:
1. Belching
2. Flatulence
3. Regurgitation
4. Tight feeling in throat and oesophagus
5. Stomach cramps
6. Small hiatal hernia
Basically, for the last couple of weeks I've felt really horrible. I get these bloating pains and some days I'm constantly belching. Along with the belching, my oesophagus feels tighter. Having a lot of flatulence as well.
The thing about the belching, it doesn't feel like normal belching. When I belch, I feel this ripple like sensation through my oesophagus. I'm currently on my first week of Dexilant and have quit smoking as of last week. I avoid all standard GERD triggers, and I'm just hoping this gets better soon. This really doesn't feel like living!
Does anyone else get the belching I mentioned above? I find it hard to believe it's my diet, I barely ate today and I've been getting these painful burps all day!
About 4 weeks ago, I started with very frequent urination and indigestion/wind/belching. Both symptoms were intermittent, but worse when I got my period. My bladder constantly felt full, achy and very uncomfortable, even after passing urine. I was treated for a UTI with antibiotics, but not much relief and no bacteria found in urine. However the symptoms do come and go and vary in intensity. Other symptoms - a noticeably larger, bloated looking abdomen, which feels heavy & draggy at times (I'm not pregnant) sometimes a stitch type sensation and slightly achy sides, but not bad. My periods have also changed recently - shorter cycle and heavier/longer periods. Full bloods done which all came back normal and good. CA125 results also came back normal/good. Doc thinks perhaps still UTI or slight prolapse or fibroid. Someone else mentioned IBS. I've booked an app with a gynaecologist in two weeks and am also awaiting an ultrasound app. I am 42 years old and otherwise fit and healthy... Oh, apart from a wee anxiety issue! Namely, health anxiety! Great! I'm worried and wondering what it could be. I'm thinking maybe a cyst!?
View 51 RepliesThe problem starts 6 years ago and it was accompanied with severe gastric problem. The problem with my gastric is better after taking H-pylori. But I feel severe pain if I eat beans specifically lentil and drink any fraction of alcohol. I also made check up for ulcer through endoscopy and the result indicates that I don’t have any ulcer in my gastric.
This time I am feeling more tired and weak throughout the day. I am also having the feeling to go to the toilet frequently but most of the time nothing is going out except farting.
I'm 62 and recently have undergo a neuro surgery. I am 2 weeks post op and encounter lack of appetite and will feel nausea once I have my meal.
Also I'm constant burping as well. Kindly advise.
I sound like a man after I eat! I now burp so loud after eating it is embarrassing. I could never burp loud before. I hope this subsides. All I had was oatmeal. Anyone else experience this?
View 2 RepliesWhen I feel vomit coming up I run to the toilet/bucket and it feels like vomit is coming up I get watery mouth and try to steady my breathing ready for vomit and then I burp like I burp at least 2-4 times (long slow weird sounding burps) before vomit actually comes up, it's almost like the burp is replacing a "gag" but I still do gag As Well and after I vomit I'll burp more and vomit more the most I've burped in one go before throwing up/in between vomits was tonight and I burped at least 7 long slow weird almost frog sounding burps before actually vomiting what does this weird burping while throwing up mean?

I've been burping a lot and it might have to do with the fact that I'm not eating much these days, but even when I eat a good amount throughout the day I am constantly burping. I'm also experiencing chest pain but usually when I burp it goes away. Is this normal? I'm like freaking out. Has anyone else experienced this chest pain like this? Its not an excruciating pain, but my anxiety amplifies it more.

flatulence is mentioned in the side effects but i do not know if this include the burping. it is awful! for at least a half an hour burping keeps annoying me, again and again after i take omeprazole.
i must take it with diclofenac. last time i was on diclofenac i got gastritis. now i have to take these two together.
other people take the omeprazole on empty stomach.
but if i have to take these two medicines together, i must take them with the food. i cannot take diclofenac on empty stomach, can i?
which way would be the best?
do i have to take them together? should i not use omeprazole straight in the morning on empty stomach and then diclofenac later on with a meal?
generally, i do not have strong acid or reflux. i only take omeprazole because i have to take diclofenac.
how would the omeprazole react with contraception, which i also take straight in the morning?
Did anybody experience involuntary burping/ trapped air/ flemy lump when swallowing after their Parathyroidectomy? Mine started 4 days after op i'm now on my 3rd week of recovery and it's still there. Went back to hospital yesterday and she said the scar/lump which is going down nicely is normal, yet she has never heard of the involuntary burping/ trapped air , she said it could be because of where they have moved stuff and it's settling down. I still have soreness and bruising and this is starting to go down.

View 2 RepliesI burp 24 hours a day. It is constant. It seems like just air. I have had the barium test and it showed my gall bladder is fine, my liver is fine, and everything looked great except for my esophagus.
My esophagus is weak and it is not getting the proper signals of when to work and when not to.....so the doc says.My doc prescribed Reglan. It has done no good at all. Many times I vomit up a meal due to all of the burping.
The burps are loud, embarrassing and very uncomfortable!
This took place about 2 months ago now and started with loss of appetite, I could go all day without even getting hungry. when i would realize how long it had been seine i ate i would make myself eat, but it would cause stomach cramps and pain so i started just not eating. i felt fine never getting hungry or even feeling weak. I am sure this wasn't good but eat became quite painful. it progressed to if i would eat i would burp literally constantly the rest of the day. So now i am back to not eating at all and still burping constantly. I know i need to eat but don't know what i can do to help this, tums and over the counter meds have done nothing so far.
View 1 RepliesI have just completed a month course of this medication, prescribed due to possible acid reflux. I got rid of the final tablet as I feel the side effects were too bad to carry on even for just one more day. I felt worn out - very bad wind and burping from week one - my husband commented on this. Also feeling as though I would throw up at any minute - still a bit of shoulder pain but the chest pain has now diminished. Had a couple of nights when I did not even go to bed it was that bad so perhaps that is why I am so tired. Now two days after my last tablet I still have a lot of wind which does not seem to be shifting - maybe I will try charcoal tabs as I have heard that these work well. Still stressed out at work so I suppose I will have to put up with this until I retire. Really makes me fee so depressed and unhappy

For the last 3 days I've had muscle spasm on my right side-it doesn't hurt. It's more like twitching. I have been burping-maybe gas. I have worked out a lot but haven't since this started. I was just wondering if anyone gets these. I did soak in Epsom salts tonight but the twitches still happening. I have read people do get these-it just makes you nervous as you feel a loss of control over your body.
