Residual intervertebral disk space at s1-s2.
I know it isn't anything catastrophic I am just not sure what it means.

Sciatica - Slipped Disk Or Piriformis Muscle?
I am having sciatica pain in my butt cheek/back of thigh only. I can walk and stand just fine with no pain at all. The thing that I cannot do is sit. The pain is horrible if I do. Does this sound like a slipped disk or piriformis muscle? Going to see an orthopedic Dr soon. What is the usual rx for this? I have been going to a Chiropractor and doing all the stretches but it's not helping. One can only stand and walk for so long. I would love to sit for more than a few seconds.

This is my 1st time posting here.. and sorry in advance because I know this post is lengthy...
I had an MRI my results in a nutshell are
L1-L2 disc bulging with mild facet arthropathy from
L2-L3 disc bulging with facet arthropathy with canal stenosis
L3-L4 disc bulging with mild facet arthropathy
L4-L5 disk bulging severe facet arthropathy moderate canal stenosis, mild bilateral neural foraminal narrowing
L5-S1 disk osteophyte complex, granulation tissue noted in the right neuroforamen, mild neural foraminal stenosis
Impression: degenerative changes of lumber spine with post surgical changes at L5-S1 on the right. Synovitis noted on the right at L4-L5
Findings.. Lumbar spine is normal alignment. Disc desiccation is noted from L3-L4 through L5-S1 with loss of disk height at L5-S1 along with posterior annular fissure. Post surgical changes from the laminectomy on the right at L5-S1.
I'm waiting for the spine doctor to get my records from my previous surgery I had done about 8yrs ago before they will make me an appointment for my new problems..
I am just looking for others who may have the same problems as I do... I have been experiencing severe back pain at first when it started I thought it was my hip because thats where the pain started then radiated down my leg I did PT for awhile and it did help some but now the pain is much much worse and in my foot it feels like I am curling my toes but only 2 will do so and the others just dont move just straight out but it feels like they are its really freaky.. other pain symptoms I have is spasms that radiate from the bottom of my spine to my neck and it gets back to wear I jerk..
I also get numbness with tingling it just feels like I have heavy sharp rocks buried deep inside my back and the newest symptom I have it when I roll my neck back n forth I hear weird popping noises like pop rock sounds n feeling and when I bend over n touch the floor with my hands it feels like my back is popping with a rolling motion really strange...
Im just curious if anyone here has experienced any of these symptoms and if anything was done to alleviate them especially if u have had surgery and what kind..Im just wondering if the symptoms I have is due to the results of my MRI and which ones. I am not that savvy when it comes to where all these L's and s's r located...
I have been sitting on a medicine ball to sit on and exercising on it and it has helped tremendously..
I just dont know what to make of all of this all I know is im in a lot of pain

Can a 6.6mm lesion if not seen on a previous brain Mri scan be classed as a new lesion? Regardless of location can extra spots not seen on a previous Mri, be classed as new?
I was told i had a few extra spots than on my previous Mri, I had symptoms which were new. When putting together these two findings, why was lumbar puncture results relied upon more heavily than new spots and symptoms?
In reading the McDonald Criteria it states in one of it's guidelines, that any new lesion or lesions regardless of timing when compared to a baseline scan is evidence of Dissemination in Space, am i interpreting this correctly?
Dissemination in Time. Is this guideline for clinical attacks? I was admitted to hospital with double vision and loss of balance in 2014. I was attending a neurologist for several years, beginning with pins and needles way back in 2010, roughly around 2012, 2013, I presented with morning headaches which were on going for months. I also experienced around this time a numbness all over my body upon awakening on several occasions it lasted mere seconds, but i wonder was were these headaches and numbness a sign of something happening.
Still have double vision and balance problems, my double vision happens when the pen or finger test is carried out, i don't see double daily, but do have blurring vision and fullness in my head. I cannot hold my urine. I get small leaking especially when i awake, or if i need to go it's with urgency. I have bowel problems, i have extreme fatigue and weakness. My legs feel tight and they can get extremely painful. The weakness is awful, i can't apply myself to simple tasks, they exhaust me, it's like climbing a mountain to do things. I think my planning and organizational skills have slowed drastically. I am all day getting nowhere, my concentration is very poor. Definitely planning and organizational skills are very bad.
New symptoms and new spots. Lumbar puncture was advised to rule MS in or out. What is confusing me still two years on are my symptoms and my brain Mri 2014. A lesion measuring 6.6mm was noted as being the largest of 19 in both cerebral hemispheres, most numerous in the right frontal lobe. My second neurologist referred to T2 hyperintensities in the juxtacortical right frontal lobe. My latest two MRI's 2015, 2016, note small area's of white matter abnormality seen in the right frontal lobe. Both were compared by the same radiologist. He said there has been no change in size or number when comparing 2 016 to 2015. They are stable. No progression.
So I don't know, if i have two lesions or one lesion. 6.6mm and 3.5mm are two different measurements.

This is all very new to me so I hope I'm doing this right but I'm just looking for some reassurance. I'm 26 years old and was diagnosed with a parapharyngeal space tumour in late 2012. 2013 my surgeon attempted to remove the tumor by cutting my jaw and going through the back of my throat into the pps, unfortunately he was unsuccessful and didn't remove any of the tumor. We decided to monitor it over two years and see if a change in growth was noted. I should mention that for the last 4 years I've had pain in my left ear and face which has been gradually worsening, and around 10 months ago I lost hearing in the same ear which is now joined by a high pitched ringing. A mri in early December 2015 showed a growth in tumor so my surgeon decided to remove it, however he would need to take a wider approach to ensure he would get the tumor this time, he is concerned that it's involved with my lower cranial nerves so we may need to remove or damage them which would greatly alter my quality of life. Currently I'm looking at other options or other ENT over the world for more opinions.im desperate to find someone else who has been through something similar or if anyone has a suggestion of surgeon or alternative treatments. They are unsure the nature of my tumor so time is of the essence for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a 1 year old baby who I need to be around for to watch grow up.

I am a young adult and I have huge problems with my teeth now after several years of not having medical coverage and extreme fear of dentists. pretty much all my molars are gone and need to be extracted, but on top of that, I may not even be able to get implants or partials because I have an even bigger issue with my bite.I went to a prosthodontist who told me that there isn't enough space between the top and bottom teeth to put anything there like an implant or even dentures and this is absolutely terrifying. He basically told me that he couldn't help me because he "limits his practice to crowns and bridges" so he told me to go back to my general dentist to ask what they can do with my bite. In the end of the day I didn't get anything out of that visit besides horrific news so my question right now is, can it be possible that I can't even get partials because of my bite? what exactly can be done about this? at the moment I have severe anxiety and fear so I can't sleep or even think because of the news that I got and I'm desperate for some good news. Can anyone please help me understand how I can be treated so i could AT LEAST get dentures if not implants?

About 2 week's ago I took 2 perc within a night and the next day I got sick, I thought from the pills, but than I was nauseous and have been for the most part ever since. My left side mid to lower back started hurting approx a week ago and it's gotten much worse last night and now I'm having pain in my upper right abdomen as if the pain moved. I'm on muscle relaxers for my back already but it's not affecting/helping my new pain though and the new pain doesn't feel the same. I was just curious if anyone had any idea what it might be, some say kidneys but does that pain or can it move from my back to my abdomen?

A week before cycle is due I've been having white milky discharge back pains, cramps at lower part of my stomach running nose sore boob on left side and a queasy stomach in the morning, now it's 5 days before my period is due and i'm drier than i was 2 to 3 days ago but still it's some creamy discharge.. should i go for a pregnancy test or just wait?

Two days ago I was in the gym exercising my shoulders and whilst I was lifting weights, I moved my back whilst seated and I heard a 'click' sound in my back, followed by pain in that area of my lower middle back. I immediately stopped exercising and haven't gone to the gym since.
I don't know what I was thinking by moving my back like that, but since it happened there is a lot less pain and it feels like the pain may be totally gone in the next 48-72 hours hopefully.
On the night of the injury I found it hard to turn onto my side when in bed, but now I can do it without any problems. Now I can only feel some pain when I turn my upper body to the left or right or if I try to stretch my lower back.
Would anyone be able to give me some advice such as what type of injury I have or whether this may have a long term effect? Is it a very positive sign that the pain is decreasing each day?

I had protected oral sex on 3rd April and protected oral and vaginal sex with a prostitute in bali on 7th april.
on 12th and 14th i had rashes with itching but since i take anti allergic medicines they went away, since 15th april, i am having the tingling feeling on middle back portion and till now i am having the tingling feeling on the same portion and it comes and goes away. Back Issues :: Pinched Nerve Or A Lower Back Strain?
I was doing a yoga pose (a torso twist hold which is where you lay on your back bring both legs up in the air then bring them down with your knees/legs tucked and torso twisted on opposite side) when I accidently dropped mid twist too quickly and hurt my lower back, the pain on a scale of 1-10 is about a 2-3, so a dull aching. Its localized and does not radiate down my thighs/legs or up to my neck. There's no shooting/stabbing pains and It also doesn't burn, or tingle (numbness). Could this be just a stretched/sprained back issue or a pinched nerve?. It also isn't tender to the touch at all.

I was about 108 kgs and after joining a gym i have lost about 32 kgs
but suddenly 20 days back i got back pain after my routine exercises and my MRI report says following:
1. L4-L5 disc reveals minimal diffuse bulge abutting the thecal sac without any nerve root compression.
2. B/L mild facet arthropathy is seen at L4/L5 and L3/L4 levels with tiny anterior paradiscal osteophytes at these level.
3. L5 vertebra us sacralised with rudimentary L5-S1 disc.
Your Hair Grow Back When Your Thyroid Levels Are Back To Normal?
I was diagnosed with hypo this past november but i started feeling sick in september of 2011 when i was 17, im 19 now and my life has changed drastically due to this! My hair was falling out at a rapid rate, i was gaining weight even though i barely eat and had some really bad mood swings! Went to the doc and prescribed me levothyroxine 50mg it has been 9months since im on this medication, my levels are back to normal but i still feel as though nothing has changed, my hair is falling out i'm almost bald, its really hard to lose weight and according to my mom i have become unbearable! How long does it take to see actual progress with levothyroxine? does your hair grow back at all? will i ever feel better? i just want my life back :'( I had take a year off university because of this and i need to know if anything is gonna change! I'm sorry for the long note i'm just fed up and frustrated, thank you for your time i really appreciate it :D

I am 29 and Female. I have been under a great deal of stress lately. I have been having some minor health problems that cause my mind to go to that dark place. I am having very irregular periods and GERD/Gallbladder issues. Also, I am planning a wedding and my mother was just diagnosed with Lung cancer about 2 weeks ago.
My upper back across the "meaty" part of my shoulders has been so tight and painful. If my fiance rubs them, he finds all kinds of trigger points that are so painful to the touch I can't breathe. In the middle of my upper back I feel a sharp pain sometimes. My neck muscles are tight as well as the tops of my arms down to my elbows. On occasion my fingers tingle.
As of the past 2 days I feel a pressure on my chest right below my collar bone. If I yawn I can feel my throat muscles get sore. The very top of my sternum is tender to the touch. It almost feels bruised.
I did a little bit of research and it seems that all of these problems are connected. The scalene muscle group can cause all of these problems. I am going to see a massage therapist on thursday. Hopefully I get some relief.
Another bit of info, I have a desk job. I am at a computer for 10 hours a day. I work 60 + hours a week. I had a chest CT scan with contrast in July and it came back clear. ( unrelated incident ) So I believe I can rule out anything major. The scan is only 3 months old.
My question is; has anyone else experienced this? If so, what did you do to ease your symptoms? I have tried muscle rub so far. Doesn't help much...I am going to ice the areas today and see if that helps.
Back :: Diaphragm Pain Which Leads Through To My Upper Back
I have a pain in between my diaphragm which leads through to my upper back, I have had for approximately 3 months but getting worse, if I lie on my stomach it hurts in both front and back. I have read all sorts of things that it might be from hernia to liver/kidney problem and gallstones... I did have a small incident where I strained myself trying to hold a motorbike up from falling down and I guess I have had the problem from then on, if I stretch out sometimes I will hear a click which radiates from the front to the back, if I push in my diaphragm it hurts. I live in a third world country so and worried about going to doctor.

I have been using nuvaring since last may I believe haven't gotten pregnant but recently started doing back to back nuvarings. I've had horrible back pain for over a year now due to a herniated disc at L5/S1 and a bulge at L4/L5. It's gotten better at various times during the interim, but I've never been able to bodybuilder/workout again. I usually do not have sciatica (only severe back pain) but every time I re-aggravate it I do get sciatica that shoots into my right heel. I visited my neurosurgeon and he told me he does not think I would be a candidate for a microdiscectomy because my primary symptom is not sciatica - but I want some second opinions. Did a microdiscectomy help your back pain from the herniation and not just the sciatica?

In March I started taking my birth control again after being off of it for two months. I was going on vacation in April and I didn't want to be on my period. So, I started my next birth control pack during the placebo week of April which started March 30th to avoid getting my period that week. I still ended up getting my period anyway. Well my placebo week for the second pack was the week of April 20th I never got my period and the week of April 27th was technically suppose to be the real week I got my period since my period never skipped with me taking my birth control pack back to back and it still hasn't shown. Is it possible it hasn't shown because of me taking my birth control packs back to back has thrown it off?
As of now I am still taking my birth control like normal. I started my third pack the week of April 27th.
Also, I am not pregnant because even with me still being on birth control I always use condoms. So, no worry about that.
Back Pain / Sciatica :: Brace To Correct The Curvature Causing Lower Back Pain
I'm 18 and i was diagnosed with scoliosis at a young age. I wore a brace to correct the curvature for about 2-3 years. The brace would put pressure on my hips and after some time I would have pain in my lower back, down my buttocks, down the back of
the leg and into the toes. It's sharp and searing and sometimes there's tingling and numbness. Could this be sciatica caused by the brace? Is it possible that it pinched the nerves and caused permanent damage? All I know is that it is extremely painful and hard to get to go away..
