I was diagnosed chlamydia. My doctor prescribe 1g azithromycin. It's been two weeks. No more discharge.
However, sometimes my urethra feels itchy and my urine flow became thinner. I masturbated few times and found out my semen did not flow smoothly.
Last week my tooth started to act up so I went to see my Dentist the very next day. I started on a Azithromycin that same day. My tooth still really hurt by Sat. so I called him and he told me to finish that up but also called in a rx for Clindamycin in case I still needed a antibiotic. My question is, has anyone taken that med for a abscess. I have done a lot a research on it and I think it's the last med I would take! I already suffer from acid reflux and this med is really harsh on the stomach. Would like to know if anyone has used it and what if any side effects? Forgot to mention, the abscess is not completely gone.

I have been on AZ for two months and am having many fewer infections, in fact none.. But of course I would rather not be reaping havoc on my GI tract and breeding SuperBugs.

Hi, I was treated yesterday night with 2 grams of azithromycin for gonorrhea (25 year old female). Didn't have any symptoms, but knew a sexual partner had it. Couldn't take the shot because of a bleeding problem I have. I have pain in my back today. Can this be associated with PID? I was exposed 10 days ago. Going for a follow up in 10 days to make sure the pills worked, should I worry before then? Or give the meds some time to work? I went to the clinic yesterday so I can't run off from work today to ask them.

I got up put some washing out and because it's a lovely sunny day decided to go shopping and then have a sit out in the sun this afternoon. However something just came over me quite unexpectedly and I started to cry. What is happening?
I feel that only the people on here understand exactly what we have gone through and don't feel that I can talk to my family because they think that I am doing so well and now should be back to normal. I wish people on here lived nearby and we could meet up because some days I feel so lonely. I don't give off this impression but I think it's the shock of the operation and trying to get on with things. Anyway must pull myself together and
put on my coping face. Does anyone else feel like this?
I'm 27 weeks pregnant and I have not felt my daughter kick yet it's my first I know she is ok cos I can feel butterflies like I have been feeling for a few weeks, when will I feel her kick ?

View 6 RepliesI have been off Elavil for almost two weeks. I dreaded coming off it as I was sure I'd get horrible menopause symptoms but, so far, I've been absolutely fine. But now I'm a bit confused!!! I don't know if the menopause is 'over' or if its just too soon to notice any symptom after being on Elavil for several years???
I feel that even my mood has improved in the past two weeks - (although I have been more tired than usual) - and I think I am less bloated in the evenings.
It's 3 weeks today since I've done my myomectomy. I'm still a little swollen and I get either sharp shooting pains or what feels like cramps in the area. I think maybe it's my bladder that's cramping ? because I feel a slight discomfort when I pee. I still get tired very easily, even if all I'm doing is walking around the house. I lost 1.3 litres of blood and my blood count's lot less than what it should be. Is that the reason why ? I was supposed to do a blood count on Monday 23rd but I didnt go because I wanted the boyfriend to come with me to bolster me. My biggest fibroid was almost the size of a football and the second biggest was the size of a grapefruit. I got lots of rest last week but I still feel tired..I don't understand why. I'm feeling just as awful as I did after the surgery. I thought the tiredness and pain would be gone by now. I have to go back to work tomorrow but my doctor said 6 weeks. I don't want to lose my job. My boyfriend says I'm fine. It's week 3 now. Also,my left lymph gland/groin hurts sometimes. I'm back to feeling the same discomfort as I did after the myomectomy. The scar area is a mixture of numbness and pain. Is this normal ? My sides and back hurt too. I've been using my abdominl muscles to get up, which I didn't do before, (I was using my hands to push up and my boyfriend would help me to get up), so now my abs feel sore. Is that okay ? My doctor had said that if my blood count doesnt go back up to normal I may have to do a blood transfusion. I don't want to do that. I've stopped taking the pain medication Voltaren, because I don't want to get addicted.

View 4 RepliesHad A&P repair done 16 weeks again, had a few up and downs along the way but on the whole things were going ok, that is until last week, I have started to feel sore underneath and quite uncomfortable and this morning have noticed a bit of blood, nothing major, not had a period since last February so hoping it's not that.
Has anyone else expericaned this? I did call the consultants office yesterday but was told that I have now been discharged back to my dr, so would need to see him.
15wks today. Over the past three or four days, I've occasionally felt a slight pinching/cramping feeling to the right of my belly button. It's not necessarily painful, but it does get quite uncomfortable after a while Is that normal? I'm assuming it's just from my organs getting pushed around as baby grows, but it'd be nice to know if others have experienced this or not.

I suffered from a disease/illness where my glands swelled up til they were huge and you could clearly see them. I had a fever all day, i would go cold and the hot, i had no energy at all and was generally sick! The doctor gave me some antibiotics and it cleared up.
Ever since then i have not been myself. I feel sick at some point during the day, i constantly have a weird feeling in my head, its not pain as such, but like a numbing feeling and irritation. I feel like im going to faint all the time, im weak and very tired, i also get chest pains from time to time & my breathing is rubbish, its hard to breath at times, i generally feel like im dying
I have had countless blood tests and all of them showed nothing!
This totally upset me because im frustrated, i just want it to be over!!
The doctor told me just to have lots of water and exercise.
My family were convinced that i suffer from anxiety and panic attacks!
As i had a panic attack due to the fact i felt so ill i thought i was dying!
It wasn't just happening to me for no reason the attack.
so they took me to the doctor where he told me my symptoms were that of anxiety and panic attacks so he gave me some tablets to take.
But i still feel the same!!
I do not believe that i have anxiety

I am slightly worried, but last thursday i was told i had asthma and i was given 2 inhalers, but since then my breathing has gotten worse, i suffer from chest pain and a "that's not right" feeling in my chest, and i am soooo fatigued and have no energy and now have lost my appetite :-(
and also feel sometimes light headed, I have been given a blood test but results aren't out yet and i hate waiting also i am really worried which make me worse and i have some back pain as well.
I have recently been diagnosed with chlamydia, but don't know when i have contracted it, it could be up to 4 years ago and i need to know how to go about finding out if it has caused major damage?
View 4 RepliesI lived in Spain for a couple of years when I was 14 and I had a drunk one night stand at the age of 15 with a spanish boy, I wasn't sure if it was protected but when I found out about a year later that I had chlamydia I presume that it was unprotected. Ever since I have moved back from Spain, I have a boyfriend who I have been with for 16 months, the day I found out we both went straight to the clinic to get it treated. Even though it was only just me who came back positive for it, my boyfriend took some pills for it too and he also did a test, and for some reason came out negative. I stopped taking the pill about a month ago, I am nearly 18 and me and my boyfriend want to try for a baby, but I have always had a fear that I cannot get pregnant due to the fact i've had chlamydia.Please can somebody put my mind at ease and explain if I can or cant get pregnant and if I can, how long will it take on average?

i hate him because when i found out which was today i called him i just told him to get checked he just replied that it wasn't from him it might of been from the other guy. he was being ignorant. i was telling him because his dirty he has sex with any stranger and plus i had sex with both guys almost around the same time so he should have it .

Just recently, me & my boyfriend were diagnosed with Chlamydia. I got treated one week before him...on a Tuesday & was told to wait 2 weeks before having sex again. I did. He got treated a week or so after me but we ended up having sex (with a condom) during the 2 week period he was taking his medication. Is it possible that he could still have the disease? Im afraid now because since then, we've had sex again (with a condom) but we also gave each other oral sex.

View 1 Replies I have a girlfriend, about a month ago I had sex outside my relationship with an escort. The condom broke. I was worried about chlamydia and gonorrhea immediately. Although I never got any kind of burning sensation or coloured discharge.
few days after the encounter I saw my GP and asked him for treatment, without testing. A positive test result cold potentially have devastating effect and word would get out believe it or not. So the doctor gave me a course of azithromycin for 5 days along with a course of doxycycline for a week.
Two weeks after that I found our that the medicine he gave me does not cure gonorrhea only chlamydia. Also at the same time I was told by my girlfriend that she thinks she has a yeast infection. to be on the safe side I treated her and myself again with cefixime 400 for 1 week and 1 gram of azithromycin on the first day followed by 500mg the second day.
We are now a week on from that treatment, and I still have doubts about myself. My girlfriend's "yeast infection" has cleared up almost completely. But for me I have a weird feeling in my penis, almost like a slight itchiness inside. Also I feel as if there is always a drop left that I need to squeeze out, and when I do squeeze it I get the teeniest drop of clear fluid that comes out, also my testicles feel itchy (not sure if this is related). At first I just thought it was my mind overthinking and me worrying that was doing this... but now I'm quite sure that things are not normal
I dont want this to ruin our relationship as we have two children together, and I need any treatment to happen in secret. I can get my hands on any medication that is required quite easily.
1- What do I do about myself? Is there any additional meds I need to take? Do I need the intramusclar injection of Ceftriaxone??
2- Do I need to do anything about my girlfriend? especially since I cant tell her what has happened for the sake of our kids!! Is she fine if she is symptom free? Could she be cured with the course of antibiotics I gave her? Please note she also took anti fungal meds at the same time.
Would really appreciate any advice I could get.
I found out two days ago that I had chlamydia but I haven't been with anyone in over a year besides this new guy and we haven't done nothing but kiss. I don't know how I got t but how do u know if the meds are working? I never had symptoms. My now ex thinks I'm nasty when I didn't know about it. Could they mess that up for a uti cause I grew up having uti every day of the week. Confused on how this could happen and why he would not want anything to do with me. I got tested over a year ago and had nothing but now I do. Could he have given it to me from kissing me?
