Chlamydia By Giving Oral Sex To A Woman?

Apr 10, 2016

I've several questions regarding oral sex and the spreading of STIs. (i) If a man can catch an STI like Chlamydia by giving oral sex to a woman, does the STI live in his throat and, therefore, is the only way he can spread Chlamydia by action involving his throat - kissing, giving oral sex etc? In other words, could a man have Chlamydia in his throat and be "clear" in his genitals? (ii) For a woman to catch an STI from giving oral sex to a man, does the man have to ejaculate in her mouth? Or is the act of simply taking his penis in her mouth enough for an STI to spread to her?

STDs :: Given Unprotected Oral To Woman

About a week ago I had sex with a female sex worker in Hong Kong (I'm a man).

I had a condom on when she gave me oral, and a different one on when we had normal intercourse.  We didn't kiss lip to lip, though I did kiss her skin and nipples.  I *did* give her unprotected oral, and stuck my tongue inside some.

This was about a week ago.  I've been a bit worried ever since then...I've only had one other partner until this encounter, I'm not normally one to take risks.  How concerned should I be?

I gather that the biggest risks would be syphilis, gonorrhea, or chlamydia from the unprotected oral sex, and that HIV transmission would be extremely unlikely even if she were to be infected?

If I get tested, how long should I wait before going, and are there any possible symptoms that I should be on the lookout for?  How long would any of those symptoms take to develop?  And would it be possible to infect my partner with (normal lip to lip) kissing or vaginal intercourse?

Am I Pregnant? :: By Just Giving Oral To My Boyfriend?

3 days ago, I gave my boyfriend oral after we ate some food but he did not cum, it was for 1-2 min. I could not tell if he had pre-cum. I kissed him for 5 seconds and then he gave me oral. He did not insert his tongue inside me but went near my vagina but mostly on my clitoris. Since 2 days ago, I keep having brown discharge, and today it's still going but it looks more like old blood because there's some clots (that I usually get on my period but now it's brown, not red). My period is due in about 9 days according to my calendar. I also have anxiety and I worry too much so am I wrong to think this and that there's no way I could be pregnant? Or is there a chance? I know that I get brown discharge before my period sometimes but not always-- it is just weird to me because it is supposed to come 9 days later. I'm just scared that it is implantation bleeding or something. I read that implantation occurs a week or so after conception. We have not engaged in actual penetrative sexual intercourse and this was the first time we had oral sex. I know that there are cases wherein there was no penetrative sex but pregnancy occurred. My question is NOT can I get pregnant from giving/receiving oral sex. The bottom line question is: Could I be pregnant if I KISSED my boyfriend after giving him oral (with possible pre-cum as he did not ejaculate) and then him giving me oral?

STDs :: Unprotected Giving And Receiving Oral Sex

I made the mistake last week of both giving and receiving oral sex with another male. The other male is of unknown status and was a drug user/sex worker. I received the oral for less than a minute and gave it for roughly 10, with no ejaculation on either side.

Since then, I have had slight lower abdomen pain, a sore throat and what seems like burning urine/penis tip. I am in a monogamous relationship and really don't want to pass this on and certainly don't want to ruin my relationship by bringing this up, I'd rather deal with the guilt as this was a one time thing.

My questions are...

- What are the risks of contracting HSV, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia or Syphilis? (understanding that HIV is very low, if any risk, for oral)

- Is the abdomen/pelvic pain a symptom of anything?

- If the event happened roughly 4 days ago, would I be able to test for Syphilis, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea? I am going to the clinic this evening and asked them to give me antibiotics for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea anyways just in case.

- Would there be any risk of any of these diseases infecting my throat from his penis and vice versa?

- Should I abstain from any sexual encounter with my current partner? There would be no expectation of protected sex considering we are monogamous and saying no or we need a condom would certainly raise red flags.

- Am I at risk of anything else that I can't think of?

I am very worried about this encounter and would appreciate any insight and thoughts you can provide. Mainly, if you think I am at risk from this encounter and if I should abstain from any sexual encounter with my current partner given the circumstances.

Herpes :: Giving Oral And Genital HSV 1 Transmission Risk

I contracted HSV1 genitally 16 months ago from someone who was not aware that cold sores were a manifestation of herpes. I've not been sexually active since, but recently met a guy who I disclosed to because things were clearly going to get more intimate. He's been very understanding and accepting, but obviously nervous too. He was tested after I told him about my situation and definitely does not have anything. Last night I gave him oral, but want reassurance that he will not contract HSV1 through oral sex. Of course today he is super nervous and sees difference on his penis and is generally paranoid. I am going to have a face to face with him, but want to be as knowledgeable as possible and quite frankly its confusing. Some places I read that it can't be transmitted if i give oral because i have it genitally. Other places it seems anything is fair game as far as transmitting. Does anyone have information from a reputable source regarding the safety of my giving oral or the transmission rates of any sexual acts?

Gonorrhea From Oral Exposure Only? Chlamydia?

Has anyone here ever gotten positive gonorrhea after unprotected oral sex ?

There seems to be conflicting information. For chlamydia and trichomoniasis it is said that these bacteria do not survive in mouth. Gonorrhea affects the back of throat and can be acquired more easily with deep-throat only.

So my question is , has anyone here caught gonorrhea from oral exposure only ?

Viagra For Woman?

Why isn't there help for us woman in the area of not being able to orgasm or problems with low libido?

I am 55 yrs old and have only enjoyed the experience of what it feels like to orgasm 3 times. first time in 2004 and two more at separate times within the past few years. I think I'm having problems due to the medications i'm taking.

I've been on an anti depressant since 2004 and klonopin to treat my general anxiety disorder. I KNOW for a fact these two are culprits. but when I wasn't even taking these meds I couldn't achieve orgasm. I can't stand it when dr.s say it's all in my head that I can't. that the mind prevents me from experiencing it.

I've had 4 natural births but have had surgical laparotomies 3 times due to one being a total hysterectomy when I was 45 and previous emergency surgery after a mishap from having a routine tubal ligation years before having my hysterectomy. so the nerves have been cut and maybe possibly damaged either from the surgeries or from having the episiotomy from having the vaginal births.

I read that dr.s take SUCH care in performing surgery for men when they have prostrate surgery as not to damage the delicate nerves, but they don't take the same care when they cut the woman for the episiotomy therefore damaging the nerves on the woman which can cause damage to nerves.
there fore we can't FEEL as well as before the surgery.

I feel numb down there most of the time. I asked my family dr for help but he referred me to a gyno. My gyno did hormone tests which showed up all normal levels for my age. I am also taking estrogen since my total hyster. because of having had to go into sudden menopause. let me tell you, I was a BASKET CASE when I wasn't taking the estrogen.

so it helps me significantly. but not in the area I'm writing about here.

I want to know if there is anything that a woman can take to get better blood flow to help achieve orgasm. that's why they say foreplay is SO important. and now I see why this is true. the woman gets blood flow to the vaginal area which is needed and takes at least 15 minutes for this to happen.

My gyno RX'd me some type of hormone but my insurance would not cover the brand name OR the generic form. so I gave up trying. I was on a mission to get this resolved.

I've just accepted that there's nothing that can be done for me. I feel so frustrated and angry at the team of scientists and FDA that doesn't approve medicine for woman. it took them YEARS and multiple attempts only to be denied approval for what they call "the little pink pill" and in studies they found that the pink pill had less side effects than Viagra for men but the FDA still wouldn't approve it.

I am starting to take this personal now. Why on earth won't the fda approve med's for woman for sexual problems? someone told me because they'd be worrying that while the men were at work that their woman would be home and getting into trouble with other men.. lol... ridiculous!

I got to the point where I was taking over the counter male testosterone but it's so expensive. I now am trying an herbal supplement that has been used in other countries for many years called horny goat weed with MACA in it. I found it in the intimacy isle of my pharmacy and it's a lot cheaper than the so called supplements of testosterone.

I think it was progesterone that my Dr. prescribed me that my insurance wouldn't cover.

so I'm wondering what hormone I actually need.

oh! by the way, if you're wondering if the herbal pills I'm taking are working, Ive only been on it a week and I'm not taking the recommended 4 tabs a day. only 2.

I did feel different in my body with sensations, but wasn't able to achieve what I wanted. WHY ISN'T THERE ANY SPECIALISTS FOR WOMAN???? in this area? they would make a FORTUNE helping woman all over the globe.

I think it's time someone from the female population stand up and fight for a change. I would, but I don't know where to begin.

Orgasm :: Woman's Sex-drive/libido In Her 40's - Does It Go Down Or Can It Stay Up?

I'm a woman who normally has a healthy, strong sex-drive.  But I couldn't help from noticing that my sex-drive/lustiness/libido seems to have substantially diminished in the last month or two.  On some occasions, instead of enjoying a sexual moment and being completely excited and consumed, I've actually found my mind wandering, feeling a bit bored and not excited.  I used to get very aroused when my nipples were touched, but in the past month my nipples now don't seem to have any sensitivity.  When they're touched, I no longer feel feelings of arousal.  Sex used to be something I used to really look forward to, but now I don't seem to get very lusty and excited.  It bothers me that these feelings and sex which used to bring me so much enjoyment and pleasure in my life seems to be gone.

Cannabis Addiction :: Normal For Paranoia To Last After Giving Up Pot?

Now I'm 3 years without a single relapse and I have no intention of smoking again, no desire or urge. Admittedly I feel much better compared with how I did when I smoked, no wheezing or coughing, my head is much clearer.

But still I feel paranoid. It's like it builds up, slowly, accumulated, and then suddenly I realize I'm just scared of everything around me, like everybody is focused on me, and everybody is talking about me. It's horrible.

If anyone has had similar experiences it would be great to hear about them.

Antidepressant Brintellix For Depression Giving Me Headaches

I recently started a low dose (5 mg) of Brintellix 4 days ago, and I've had a headache every day.   I'm wondering if it's common to get headaches when first starting an antidepressant and how long I should give it before I decide to stop.  My Dr. said to give it a week, but I'm not sure that's long enough based on some stuff I've read.  I can't tolerate most antidepressants, which is why I'm hoping this side effect will go away.  I was just wondering what others' experiences are when starting a new AD, even if it wasn't Brintellix.  Are start up headaches common, and do they normally go away?

Ears :: Stop Hearing Loss Without Giving Up Headphones?

I usually use headphones bit my research has shown tedious results of using headphones and more teens are becoming more hard of hearing each day, so is there a way to stop the hearing loss without giving up headphones? It may sound funny but my research also taught me that foam or stuff like that insulates heat by losing the heat in that maze-like foam... and that means the heat has to travel more distance around the maze or stuff... so like heat, can we actually carve out a block of foam and squeeze it into the cups to make the sound travel more distance so reduces our hearing loss?
