Depression :: Fluoxetine Side Effects - Frequent Panic Attacks

Jul 16, 2016

I've been on fluoxetine for 8 weeks. I had experienced frequent panic attacks and my doctor put me on 20mg a day. Initially I had all the usual side effects (although some of these could be the depression) - I lost my appetite and lost a lot of weight, I developed insomnia and had to take sleeping pills, and I just generally felt worse for the first month. Now I'm able to sleep at night without pills, I've stopped losing weight, I don't have panic attacks anymore and I usually feel ok. The only problem is that I've got an issue with grinding my teeth all day. It's starting to become very uncomfortable and annoying. It feels like my jaw is always clicking and popping, and often I have earache or a feeling of fullness in my ears. Is this a side effect that will go away after a while? It's been 8 weeks and I'm starting to think I might want to come off fluoxetine if this jaw pain doesn't go away.

Cialis Side Effects :: Panic And Anxiety Attacks

I've had panic/anxiety attacks on and off for 2 years now which makes me very scared about taking anything. But my wife and I want to have another child and the last few months I cant seem to keep an erection through intercourse. I'm not in the best of shape which I am sure is a cause of this and I know I should see a doctor about it but I hate doctors and very embarrassed to talk about it. I found a guy on craigslist selling Cialis 20mg and bought some. I'm nervous taking them so trying to do some research on whether they may cause me some more panic/anxiety attacks. We have a sitter tonight and i'd really like to satisfy my wife as well as myself. I am guessing i'll try breaking one in half and see how I feel.

Cannabis :: Panic Attacks Followed By A Depression (10 Years Of Weed)

Doctors are way too expensive here in portugal and they all wants to sell their product and i think they don't really care us...I've been smoking joints for about 10 years. I´ve once had panic attacks followed by a depression and went medicated and all as passed. I continued to smoking and now passed 10 years i began to feeling that again. I can't explain but when i'm on a relation i feel really anxious and start to became crazy and insecure and that develops my anxiety...i went on meds again and after a year i decided to quit and i've notice that i was completely addicted to them and was hard to left but i left. At that time that i was quitting i didn't not smoke anything because i was afraid and too much scared about being addicted to pills. It has passed 7 months without smoking and taking pills and now when i´m working it´s ok but in my days off i wake up feeling very anxiety and can´t enjoy life feeling like this...

Citalopram :: Decline Of Effects After 4 Weeks - Anxiety, OCD And Panic Attacks

I've been on 20mg of cit for just over 4 weeks now almost 5, and at first it was great. My mood picked up, anxiety went way down, and my OCD drastically went down. But now, I've been on a steady decline for almost 2 weeks and i feel like I'm at square one again. High anxiety, OCD, panic attacks, and no appetite and depression all over again. Obviously I need to something differently but I'm wondering if I just need an increase or just try a whole new med?

Side Effects :: Amitriptyline With Fluoxetine

I've been on Amitriptyline for 6 months for pain management - lowest dose 10 mg in evening and I am getting on fine after the side effects at the start!

This week I've been started on fluoxetine 20 mg per day for other issues. GP said it might interact with the Amitriptyline but might not so give it a go.

Has anyone else taken these two medicines at the same time? How did you feel?

I've taken fluoxetine before so I'm ready for the crazy initial side effects (off work for 4 weeks so I can get through it!)

Fluoxetine :: Increasing From 20mg To 40mg - Horrible Side Effects

I'm new to this website just hoping it can keep me more positive while I get through this. I've had generalised anxiety disorder for years now but I've only recently tried medication. I was on 20mg fluoxetine for nearly 8 weeks, the first week and a half was awful with side effects then I just felt the same as I did before taking medication which obviously wasn't as bad as the side effects. I agreed with my doctor to up the dose to 40mg last week after just under 8 weeks because it wasn't really doing much. Since I upped the dose 3 days ago I've been feeling spaced out/drowsy not quite with it nearly all the time which is something I experienced when I first started taking the 20mg and I'm not happy about it I hate feeling like this I'm scared of feeling as bad as before. I was wondering if people could please tell me how long they had side effects after increasing their dose if they had them? And whether 20mg didn't work for you but when 40mg did?

Amiodarone :: Side Effects - Frequent Throat Infections

My son has been on amiodarone for four months now following an atrial flutter which required DC Cardioversion. He takes other drugs for his heart such as furosemide, ramipril and warfarin. He seems to have frequent throat infections which lead to flu symptoms (hot and cold shivers, aches and pains) these have forced him to bed for 6 days at a time. We have been told that these are not a side effect by the consultant but we were managing to keep on top of infections before amiodarone with some wonderful natural supplements. I am interested that none of the comments that I have read on this site have really mentioned similar side effects. Has anyone experienced the same? He has been free of atrial flutters and has declined an ablation on the grounds that they cannot guarantee a total success rate.

Sertraline :: 100 Mg For Panic Attacks

I first started sertraline in 2012 after getting pnd and fluoxetine not suiting me, then I stopped sertraline gradually in march 2014 as I felt I no longer needed them. First few weeks I was fine, then panic attacks came back awful maybe 7/8 a day for no reason at all :-( In august i went back on sertraline and started on 25mg and it has took Me all of this time to gradually build up to 100 mg due to anxiety. I have been on 100mg for 3 days now and suffering awful headaches, feel as though i'm going to fall over when I walk,(this scares the life out of me) and chest pains, I can deal with these as I have for over 4 years. Its the new symptom of feeling I have excess saliva and swallowing all the time, also upper stomach pains that is worrying me. I have lost weight and have no appetite but the actual panic attacks have subsided almost. Just wondered if anyone is on 100mg for panic and if they feel normal.

Post Streptococcal Reactive Arthritis - Frequent Attacks

I'm a 35 year old woman and last year I was diagnosed with Post Streptococcal Reactive Arthritis. I also have ME/CFS which was diagnosed when I was 15 years old.

In July I had sore throat that lasted for 3 weeks and wasn't getting any better so I visited my GP. She thought it was a virus but did a swab anyway. Over the next few days I noticed weakness, pain and swelling in my hands and knees, worse on the right side of my body. The pain got so severe I could not stand or use my hands. I went back to the GP and was told my swab tested positive for strep. I was given a course of penicillin and told to take ibuprofen and co-codamol for the pain. I was also given omeprazole to protect my stomach as I had gastritis a few years ago.

The pain continued for 2 weeks, I had another course of antibiotics but it wasn't helping so I was admitted to hospital where I was diagnosed with Post Streptococcal Reactive Arthritis. I was given stronger antibiotics and painkillers and a steroid injection (kenalog) and discharged. I gradually improved over the next few weeks but then in October I got a chest infection and another throat infection. 3 weeks later the Reactive Arthritis flared up again.

I was referred to a rheumatologist who examined me and said there was nothing wrong with my joints. He did lots of blood tests but they all came back negative except for a borderline strep count. I was discharged back to my GP as the rheumatologist couldn't help me because my arthritis was caused by infections. He said I needed investigations to find out why I was getting so many strep infections. I went to see my GP but she said there is nothing they can do. She said there is nothing wrong with my immune system because my blood tests are normal.

I had another throat infection in January and another in March, both of which lead to reactive arthritis flare ups. I am very fed up of being ill and in pain all the time. The doctors don't seem to be taking me seriously at all and the only treatment I've been given is codeine and paracetamol for the pain.

I would very much appreciate any help or advice. Surely the medical profession can do more than just give me painkillers?

Pregnancy :: Anxiety And Panic Attacks

So my hubby took me into the hospital last night. Since Thursday I had been having a hard time breathing and yesterday my chest got really tight and no matter what I did just couldn't catch that breath... so of course I started to panic. It turns out it's just he baby really pushing on my chest diaphragm. Apparently I have serious anxiety. I didn't realize how much I don't sleep and eat until they gave me meds to sleep and I got a full nights rest. I woke up this morning SO HUNGRY and ate like I hadn't eaten in ages. Before I was eating little at a time. So even though this trip to the hospital was pointless... it actually is helping me in the long run!

Help any advice welcome i think i know what will be said! Just don't drink.
