Hepatitis B :: Interferon With Weekly Vaccine?

Sep 14, 2015

Though vaccine  is useless for us now it is coming in my mind y not take it weekly along with my interferon shots. Can it make any difference? Has this thing ever studied on immune change. Any idea or previous study? We have done several self experiments so can this be tried as well but some info on this if any?

Hepatitis C :: Sovaldi - Non-responder To The Interferon & Ribavirin

As per Dr. I'm having to do the Sovaldi and Ribavirin 6 months this seems a very long time compared to what I've been reading but since I'm closer to needing a transplant I suppose he is wanting to make sure the virus clears and hopefully it does as I was a non-responder to the interferon & ribavirin treatment. From what I've read even if there's just one or two whatever they call the virus that's left in your system it can still mutate and go from there. So far I'm only have very bad nausea and headaches at times. First labs Jan 8th....here we go!

Alcohol Consumption :: Drinking / Weekly Limit Guidelines Laughable?

In our village, it is recycling collection day this week on Friday. We have to separate, cardboard, papers, plastics, cans and glass bottles into different containers. The cans & bottle containers were moulded plastic with lids.

Over the years, all the lids have been lost, broken (council never replaces them) or they will not fit on with the pyramid of contents.

The amount of beer cans and beer/wine bottles I see in these containers as I walk around to the village shop (before the collection has been), would mean just about every household in the village is occupied by alkies.

I just don't know what real world the people that set these limits live in. A decent pint of lager these days is at least 2.5 units. Therefore having six pints on a Friday, not only puts you over you weekly limit, but means no other drinking whatsoever for the rest of the week. It's not realistic.

Molluscum Contagiosum :: Why Don't They Make Vaccine For It?

My daughter has had this virus for about 6 weeks now. The doctor told me they would go away on their own and that we just had to let it run its course. At this point she only had about 3. She now has over 20 of these nasty little bumps under her armpit and yesterday I discovered a few tiny ones on her torso. I have started using ACV and in the course of two days the 2 biggest ones have turned black. I believe this is a good sign that the molluscum is now dead! I followed most people's advice and soaked cotton wool in ACV and then secured it on the spot with a plaster. She said it stings a little, but nothing major. Fingers crossed the rest of them respond in this way. My only concern is that her skin does look a little red, but that could easily be because of all the plasters she has stuck on her.

Why don't they make a vaccine for this horrid virus?

Rabies Vaccine Dose - 6th Dose Is Optional Or Mandatory?

In Ukraine, the dog has bitten me. At the end of treatment, 6 doses of rabies vaccine is recommended in the report. They make 4 dose in Ukraine and I come to my home (Istanbul) and 5. dose is finished. But total five doses of vaccine are made in Turkey. I do not understand why they want to dose 6. I have a healthy body. 6. dose is important? OR optional?

Marriage With A Known Hepatitis B

I in a relationship with a girl and it all started as arrange marriage and now it has turned into love last week i did my Hep B(HbsAg) test (Its Chronic) and i came positive there after i did my Liver Function Test and everything is very good in liver as per doctor , I'm currently going through AntiGen E and AntiBody To Antigen Test and reports would be coming today but now the real problem has come from her parents which is quite obvious as they don't want risk their daughter life by getting married to a Hep B patient.

Myself and her even visited Doctors together and consulted about the disease and they said its all fine to get married once she takes Vaccines of 6 Months (3 doses) and i should keep checking my liver every year just to keep a watch and i should eat healthy and stay fit apart from that there are no medicines for it to cure.

Now she is going to take her parents to the doctor to let all their doubts cleared by doctor itself same doctor whom we visited she understands(She is physiotherapist) the things but does not want to go ahead if there a health risk involved here which is rationally correct as well.

Are there people here who went ahead with ahead marriage despite knowing partner is Hep B positive ?

I am a fresh graduate and I was looking for a job then found one, I was hired and before I could start they wanted to get my medical result first. They told me I won't be able to get the job anymore since my result in HBsAg was reactive. In the medical it says "3516.26 S/CO; The Cut-Off value reported for this assay cannot be correlated to an end-point titer; rechecked and verified." Is my Hep B chronic? And can I still get a job even though I am now a carrier of this disease? I am really depressed now it's like I've wasted 4 years of studying

Gilead Submits TAF NDA For Hepatitis B

Gilead Sciences (NASDAQ:GILD) files its New Drug Application (NDA) with the FDA seeking clearance of tenofovir alafenamide (TAF) 25 mg for the treatment of adults with chronic HBV infection. The company is transitioning its product line to TAF from TDF (tenofovir disoproxil fumarate) because it is just as effective at a dose less that one tenth that of TDF and is less stressful on the bones and kidneys.

The company intends to file its TAF Marketing Authorization Application (MAA) in Europe this quarter.
