I have had a full hysterectomy in 1984 but just recently I have had some blood spotting what could it be and I get bad tummy ache with it the spotting normal stops after a day but the pain last for 2-4 days?

However, about a month ago I started spotting, then it turned to bleeding which has required the use of feminine hygiene products every day.
I want to take a break from my birth control and give my body a chance to refresh.. I just want to know - will I remain protected from pregnancy if I take a week off (as I have not at all)?

View 2 RepliesI've been spotting while on NuvaRing which is odd for me because I've been using this for years with no problems. I went to the doctor in the middle of November to renew my prescription. They gave me a pregnancy test which came out negative. I had sex once in October and haven't since then.
In December my period came on a Wednesday and I forgot to get a new ring to put in to skip my period. I put in the ring the same day my period started, Wednesday, but I'm supposed to put in a new one Sundays. Anywho had a regular period but last week I had slight cramping for a day and some spotting. This week the same thing. The spotting is only lasting one day. What the heck is going on? Just old blood?
I ended my period about 12 days ago. Two days after that I had sex. (Not my first time) Afterwards I was a little sore down there. Lasted for a few hours. Then about 3 days later I noticed some light spotting. No pain. No other symptoms just a dark brown color / dark red. This lasted for about 7 days and now the spotting seems like it's getting heavier. Like it's real blood coming out and it doesn't look like spotting to me. What could this be? Could I be pregnant? View 1 RepliesI was supposed to start my period the 26th. On the 23rd I had a spot of blood when I went to the bathroom and didn't spot anymore after that. Yesterday (the 2nd) I started what I thought was my period but it was brown/black lumpy blood, enough to go thru a few tampons and it ended today (the 3rd). My periods are always regular and I've never had brown/black blood before. My husband and I have been trying for a year. Has anybody else had symptoms like this and what was the outcome?

I'm 26 years of age, im 250 lbs and 6ft 1in tall. I know that sounds really fat and im no underwear model but i have a big frame and don't look fat as much as strong. I've recently gotten a few BP readings. the low was 152/85 the higher one i just tried at walmart to help with white coat syndrome, it was 165/88 but my resting heart rate is 59. I can't seem to get a BP reading without first being ****** off by kids playing on the BP machine at walmart while i stand there or waiting 2 hours in a doctor's office. My doctor just seemed to think nothing of my high numbers, "oh it's just white coat syndrome, plus the bottom numbers the real important one". Do i need to wait until im in my 40's to be taken seriously or should i just induce a minor heart attack now? lol

However, i starting bleeding bright red blood about 3 days ago, and this has been quite heavy as i am normally only very light.It isn't like period blood. This has happened before in this 2 year period and it was bright red then too. i've been on warfarin since last december due to a pulmonary embolism in my lung. Is it necessary to see a doctor, i don't want to feel like i'm making a fuss.

Then this spotting started on the first day of my ovulation May 29, exactly 14 days after my 1st day period may 15. from spotting it went to slight bleeding (I thought it would stop, enough to fill a panty liner). I
t is already June 10 as I'm writing this and still spotting a little though(still have those brown discharges).
I'm expecting my period tomorrow. I wish and hope its implantation or breakthrough bleeding but I am more "worried".

i had my first day of my period last august 18 then a week after i started to have dark brown spotting and dark red or like maroon light bleeding for 3 days then this September 12 i noticed a dark red that turns brown spotting on my liner and dark red light bleeding 2 days before my period is due that is September 14,on that day i think i had my period because it became heavy like my first day of period im scared whats happening to me.

I don't have any symptoms of infection and everything seems to be going well with my recovery. I even laid on my stomach in bed last night...for about 10 minutes lol
Off to Endo tomorrow to see what they say, I was wondering if anybody is taking Carbimazole with HRT. Had complete hysterectomy last year so taking HRT and just wondering if this has anything to do with my over active thyroid, a few people spoke to know of women who have had hysterectomy and gone on to have OA thyroid.

I had stopped having problems with hot flashes about 45 years of age or before. When I had total hysterectomy those stopped. Can anyone tell me about why this might be the norm and we have to put up with it until death!
