For the past 3 days now my clitoral region has been very itchy and tender. Yesterday it had dead skin peeling off when I wiped after urination. I always use condoms and my last pap, came out clean, and I've been with the same man 2 years now. There's no discharge, just itching and tenderness now, What could it be?
View 1 RepliesI'm 20 years old and I wanted to see if i am not the only woman who has peeling of the skin over the clitoris area. It is painful and extremely embarrassing. I've tried everything to get rid of it. I tried using more lubrication during sex and just in general with coconut oil due to its antifungal/antibacterial properties. It's been like this for months, I do have genital herpes but no other indication of an outbreak that I know of...I just want to be able to enjoy sex and not be in pain. I even air dry as much as possible and only use soaps that are non irritating for the vaginal area, plus keeping the area dry. Help! I just want to feel normal.

View 3 RepliesA few months ago I was told by my obgyn that I had bv and was prescribed Flagyl. I found out soon after that I'm pregnant, so I can't take the flagyl until I hit my second trimester (I'm only 9 weeks right now ugh!). Anyway, the bv really didn't bother me at all at first, but the past couple weeks I've been extremely itchy and dry. To the point where I can't even leave the house because it's so uncomfortable. Also, I've noticed a lot of thick white "balls" of discharge around my clit. I wash it but it just comes back within a day. Is this the bv finally causing symptoms or something else?? Maybe a yeast infection, I'm not sure. I can't take any antibiotics for another few weeks but does anyone know of any way to provide some relief until then?
View 1 RepliesI have always had a problem 'down there' since a young age and was told not to worry about it my symptoms include discharge that ranges from white to slightly brown and lately a very strong smell. What alarmed me was something that happened three months ago. Lately it turned out that i had little sensation in the vagina canal area and my clitoris ended up being very painful if it was stimulated too much. I've never had this problem before with my boyfriend and i haven't read about anything like this happening where the vagina ends up being sore and little sensation? I have recently seen my gp and she said it could possibly be thrush and gave me a course of Flagyl ( metronidazole) and a Clotrimazole cream that i apply outside of the vagina and inside via an applicator.

View 2 RepliesI just had surgery on Thursday and I needed to get a refill of my pain meds from my GP. While I was on the phone with her I asked her what my most recent chest X-ray showed, she said my lungs were fine but it showed a slight enlarged heart. She would not discuss it with me so needless to say I'm scared I'm going to die. I have been trying to lose weight and have gone from a size 22 to a size 14/16 which is still not good enough. they sent me a letter to say that my blood pressure was up and that my last GP had diagnosed me with stage 1 hypertension.
So now I'm scared I'm going to need a heart transplant since Google said that people with enlarged hearts sometimes need transplants and surgery. I eat right and try my best to exercise and do the right thing, all my blood work is good and I don't have raised cholesterol. Can this be from my recent two month plus cardio training? Is my heat enlarging from that? I also lost over 14 1/2 lbs and have changed over to a Paelo diet. What else can I do?? I don't want it die at 42 from a heart problem

View 1 RepliesI was just diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I have 16 of the 18 tender points, I'm tired, I have headaches, my muscles and joints ache and, occasionally, my fingers and toes get tingly. Oh, and I'm cold all the time. The only actual test I had done was a blood test, which came back perfect. The problem is, my lymph nodes are sore. Not swollen, really, just sore. My doc told me it's from the fibro, but I'm not finding any info to support this online. Also, sometimes I wake up with a headache. Is this normal? I should add, my left side feels IDENTICAL to my right. The pain, lymph node soreness, etc...It's all perfectly symmetrical. Is this normal for fibro? I am 36 years old. I would really appreciate any advice from someone who actually HAS fibromyalgia. My friends/family think I must be dying with all these symptoms, and that fibro can't really cause so much discomfort. My doctor, who is generally on top of things, is certain it's fibromyalgia. He said the tender points are what really tipped it off for him. I should add...this is causing me a lot of anxiety which seems to be making the symptoms worse.
View 1 RepliesI have been experiencing horrible head pain for the past 6 months. I've been to a neurologist and had multiple tests (MRI's/CT scans) performed and everything has come back normal. The only thing that has come up has been "lordosis" in my neck and "slight changes in C5 and C6" in my neck. My headaches started back in May when I was moving out of my apartment and seemed to have strained myself. I have been going to a PT and that has not helped. Additionally, I have had 2 nerve blocks, trigger point injections, and dry needling, none of which have helped. I am scheduled to get botox injections in my neck and lower head to hopefully help. Additionally, I am going to a neck/spine specialist. Both happening next week. Can anyone relate to the pain that I have been having? My pain seems to start in my neck and travel all over my head, on one side of head to the other, behind eyes, behind ears, etc. It feels like a stinging, uncomfortable pain. Someone please help, give suggestions, relate to me!! Feeling desperate and feeling like my head will never get better.
View 4 RepliesI am 20 hours post-op and I'm not having any pain. Once the pain medicine I got from the hospital wore off. I'm almost 100% free of discomfort (I would rate what I have as 1 out of 10 when walking, no pain sleeping or sitting).
So is this cause for concern? I'm ready to call my doctor but all the post op papers I got from him were concerning having pain, not being pain free.
I am stitched and very well taped up. No problems around the wound and it is tender if I touch it but nothing like I experienced when I got the vasectomy originally (I wasn't stitched or taped up for that one, just a small band aid as the incision was very small).
Is this ok? I thought I'd at least feel the slight burning sensation of normal healing but I feel nothing but a slight tightness around my scrotum and that could be just the bandage.
Or am I speaking too soon and will it hurt later?
I am curious to here there's experience to Zoloft for self diagnosed ocd haveing thoughts you do t want to that can bring in stress anxiety and depression and even effect your confidence and life ? I am fairly new to Zoloft and I am hoping and praying that as I up the dose it will help me gay back into my everyday living and help me gain that confidence back?

View 9 RepliesFor the past full week, I think I've been suffering from conjunctivitis. I was wondering how I can determine what type I have and if there's anything I can do/purchase for it.
- I had a feeling as if something was in my left eye for a couple of days, but this has finally gone!
- Both my left and right eyes seem to be a little tender and watery. They are a tiny bit sensitive to light but not by much at all. They are generally white but both with some blood shot areas.
- I have experienced no pain or loss of vision (Fingers Crossed!). I also have cold like symptoms such as a runny nose, varying temperture, watery eyes. But, I would say these are mild to minor. I've seen a small improvement since I got it a week a go and it's defintley got a tiny bit better. Should I give it another week before I see a doctor because it says to give it about two weeks to go away? Is it worth buying some eye drops from the pharmacist? And, what kind of conjunctivitis do I have?
I recently had a brain MRI and there is nothing wrong with my brain. However these symptoms are changing my daily life and making my depression and anxiety far worse than they have ever been before. I'll give you a quick run through of the symptoms that have appeared and worsened during the last year.
Pulsatile tinnitus in left ear plus slight hearing loss.
Migraines more often to the point where I cannot speak or lay down or walk.
I now need glasses, I used to have perfect vision and now cannot see any further than about 10 feet in front of me.
A few months ago I suddenly couldn't write of hold my fork to feed myself, my hand just wouldn't work. I though of it as a one off. It's worse now, it happens more often and the shaking happens quite bad and in both arms and hands, sometimes I have spasms and often wake myself up by punching, kneeing or headbutting the wall next to my bed.
I have told the doctor all of this but have been told if the mri is clear than there is nothing they can do.. I am changing doctors (my current surgery is known for messing patients around and misdiagnosing). But any input on what's happening? The tremors have kinda threw me off guard, it's very uncomfortable and like I said I can't hold things, feed myself or anything when it happens.
I recently broke my left ring finger, 4 months ago, now slightly below my index finger is a small lump that looks like it is my tendons. This lumps starts a raised line in the center of my hand, proceeds up by my index finger as well as slightly splitting off towards my middle finger. I also have light pain in my hand, especially after I do something with it. Also my finger still feels very strange to move and bring down to my palm. It also is sometimes slightly stiff. The line/lump is what I would describe to be my bone or tendons.
