My 7 yr old has slowed drastically on growth. Since August 2012 he hasn't grown quiet 2 inches, no weight gain, even his foot is the same size!!!! He used to be in the top percentile a has has now dropped to 5th in height and 10th in weight. He's 7 yr 3 mo. 45" and 44 lb. he does get sick A LOT!! He's been in and out of hospital and has Severe Reflux for which he takes meds.
View 2 RepliesI am a 19 yr old guy, currently 5'5 1/2" and around 125 lbs (my weight fluctuates about 125-130 these days). I hit puberty around 14, but I have been my current height for 4 years, have weighed between 110-140 in that time, and have not growing at all in height. I currently have a lean 28" waist, 35" hips, 35" chest, and 14" neck. I have a bit of armpit hair, thigh hair, navel hair, and leg hair, but it's somewhat sparse and not really thick yet. I also have the peach fuzz on my face, and it's starting to get darker on my jawline. My Adam's apple is also getting noticeable.
My dad is 5'6" and 200 lbs. He claims that a lot of it is muscle and that he only has "10 pounds of fat on him", but that's a statement more applicable to me; he is quite overweight. He says when he was my age he was 170 lbs and "not fat" -- I know for a fact that I would look really fat at 170 lbs. My appetite was really voracious for a couple years but has slowed down; though I still get days where I can almost clean out an entire refrigerator, they are getting more rare. My sister is 5'7" and 150 lbs, and somewhat chubby. My mother is 5'3" and about my weight.
I still look youngish in the face, though my jaw has become more geometric and square lately. I don't know whether I should "try" to grow by say, working out a lot, sleeping a lot, and drinking lots of milk + excess calories, but I feel like it might not even work. Is it likely my growth is almost done? Can/should I get a bone scan to determine it?

Do I need to see a Consultant Gynaecologist to discuss any kind of medication I could take to try to stop the growth of my uterine mass or to try to shrink it without any kind of surgical procedure in mind, at least for the time being ?
I'm 17, and I got my period when I was about 13. It would come fairly regularly, but I never really tracked it to the day. About 2 years ago my periods became further apart, every two or so months, but I never really payed attention. I now haven't had my period in over a year, and am beginning to get quite worried. I have been to a doctor (about 6months ago) and had blood and hormone tests, all of which came back fine. My doctor said to come back if I still hadn't had it in a year, which I plan to do as soon as I can get an appointment. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on why it might be? I am a virgin, eat completely healthy, exercise every day, am at the middle of healthy weight range for my age/height, and have never been on any birth control. My doctor said he thought it unlikely to be cysts but I'm not ruling it out (just crossing my fingers that it's not). I haven't been too worried as its quite convenient with my very active lifestyle, but i realize I need to get it sorted out.
View 1 RepliesI had my period was June 2015. I have now taken my period for the first time since then, and it has been going on for 3 weeks and doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon. I am 24 years old and have went to my doctor about this, but they said it was normal. Honestly I don't think it is normal but I might be wrong. Has anyone experienced anything like this and know what could be wrong? I do have Crohn's disease but I don't think it has anything to do with that.

View 2 RepliesMy 16 year old daughter still hasn't got her periods. At first the DR's kept telling me she was delayed because she has crohn's disease but they finally agreed to do further testing.
Yesterday she went for an ultrasound to check her ovaries but they couldn't find a uterus. He told me not to panic as sometimes the uterus is retroverted and they can't see it on the ultrasound. Shes to have an MRI soon.
I'm just wondering if she has a retroverted uterus, wouldn't they be able to see some of it on the ultrasound?
I am 24 years old and have 2 daughters. After my second daughter I had a tubal ligation during my second c secsection and even then I only bled for about 2 weeks right when I had her. I haven't had a period since then and she will be 2 in Feb 2016. I do experience mood swings and bloating, even back pain like I had when I was menstrual. Even with diet change I cannot lose weight. I had my thyroid checked, even got tested for diabetes and the doctors don't know anything except the absence of my period isn't normal. Has anyone experienced this? What can I do?
View 2 RepliesMy name is Marielle and I am a sixteen year old female. I started birth control about two years ago due to severe cramps and stopped after about one year when they ended. Since that year, I have not had cramps or my period. I cannot remember if I stopped menstruating while weaning off of my daily birth control pill (or forgetting to take more like), but I have become somewhat worried. I have not consulted a doctor about this yet, but plan to soon. However, if anyone could help me to see if I should be more worried or stop worrying, that would be great. I am very nervous about there being something wrong and a possibility of me becoming sterile. Although this may seem a bit out of proportion, it is still a very present and scary nagging thought in my head.

(I don't need any lecture on how I'm to young so please don't.) I have recently been having unprotected sex with my boyfriend a lot. I took for birth control for two months and stopped before I met him. I have never missed a period but I haven't had my period in two months now. Can someone please explain to me what's going on? Could I be pregnant? I've had a few symptoms but I feel like my mind is playing tricks on me.

I am 15 and about to start a new part of my life in 10th grade. When I was younger I went to a small school in a very popular area of South Australia. I had one friend in particular that I have been friends with for over 9 years now. He and I were like 2 peas in a pod for most of our primary days but he moved to a different school then I did after we graduated. Now that I have reached year 10 at a high school college I feel as if I only have 3 more years to live my life easily before I have to get a part time job and go to university. I mainly have anxiety because I recently went on a family holiday with him and we recalled all the things we did when we were younger and one of the most treasured was playing a certain video game with him. We then played this video game once again and so many memories just rushed back to me the more I played. Now all I can think about before I sleep or when I am bored is the anxiety of no re-living these moments that I have clinged onto for so long. I just want to lose my anxiety, has anyone got any ideas or are in the same circumstance as I am?

View 1 RepliesSo I'll be 27 weeks tomorrow. And I've been the same weight for 2 months now. At the beginning of my pregnancy I was gaining weight super fast now I just stopped. I don't know how much my baby weighs. My doc hasn't said anything. But I know alot of ppl thats due after me and their bellies are way bigger than mine. Should I be concerned?
