Last night during sex i snapped my frenulum (banjo string). It bled profusely, so i cleaned up and had a shower etc. then went to bed and woke up with my bed sheets covered in blood. It doesn't seem to be bleeding now as I've had a hot salt water bath and applied savlon to the area.
Does anyone know the healing time and if I should seek further medical advice?

A few days later and it's healed so badly that i can no longer pull the foreskin back as the foreskin has healed onto the head of my penis. I am not in pain but it has eliminated the ability to masturbate. I don't have too much issue urinating. Just being careful and i get by fine for now.

View 1 RepliesHas anyone ever had difficulty with gum healing following dental anesthesia with the 'wand'? Since it's so localized, the shots are many and they take a while. Twice out of several fillings over the past years this has happened to me, and last night the gum bled so much that I wondered how I will ever get it to heal. It was 8 days later and still very sore between the teeth, it looks better but still feels very raw.
Also my dentist acts as if he's never heard of anyone having this happen. I'm wondering if there's anything I can get from the drug store to soothe it and allow it to heal more quickly. That 'wand' is amazing for what it does but I'm not sure these after-effects are worth avoiding a few hours of a numb face!

I've had an issue for a while concerning painful sex and bleeding after.
This all started after a prolonged hospital stay and antibiotic treatment including several thrush flare ups due to the antibiotics. I've seen two docs who have examined me and ran swabs and found nothing so referred me to psychosexual counselling.
They have said they won't refer me to a gyno.
The issue now is that my lady area has started flaring up and getting really sore now without any physical contact at all. So how can it all be in my head? I have not had sex in over 4 years and the sex with him was extremely painful and I bleed excessively and continued spotting for a couple of days. It was bright red and it was everywhere. Now I have been on the Depo provera birth control shot for at least 6 years. And I have not had a period the whole six years. I understand why I bled but not why so much? Was it because of my age? And I believe the pain was due to not have had sex in years. And another thing, it has been a week since we had sex and I constantly feel like I have to pee, which is now a different shade of yellow and I have an abnormal yellow colored discharge. There is no painful urination, no itching, and maybe just a slight smell nothing strong.

I have an appointment scheduled in the hopes of getting a prescription for a non hormonal blood reducer called Lysteda but I've heard it's expensive and may not be covered by insurance.
