I have recently started to experience a scanty menstruation (low volume but normal duration). I am on the contraceptive pill but this is the second month in a row it has happened. I am sexually active. The blood is dark and I have had less cramps than normal.
Is it likely I am pregnant or could it be something more serious? I have had no nausea or weight gain, all other aspects of my lifestyle have remained the same.
I'm doing that kind of a thing and i just wanna know if it's normal to have a 1 day menstruation even if my period is not on that date.
View 1 RepliesI was listening to music earlier from my desktop computer and when the song changed the volume was suddenly at maximum and for 2 seconds my ears were exposed to extremely loud electric guitar and a high pitched noise and quite a bit of distortion, the headphones are quite powerful. I'm not someone who has music blasting at a high volume often.
Could something like this have caused instant damage to my hearing or anything else?
When I was a kid someone screamed into one of my ears through a loudspeaker and I remember it felt like my ear was clogged afterwards but eventually went back to normal after a day.
This though didn't leave me with a ringing sensation or any change in my level of normal hearing but the top of my head has felt slightly tingly afterwards.
For example it's currently raining lightly and I can hear it fine and I can hear the radio like normal. If I very gently tap my fingernails together I can hear it fine in both ears. But would I notice the damage instantly or would it be noticed over time?
I had sex (for the first time) on 19 April, 2016. After one hour I took one morning-after pill(emergency pill). We used condom, and we did everything safely, ejaculated outside of me. Still for extra safety I took Pill. Then I got my period on 9May(19days later after taking pill). My period is still going on today (June 12), marking 34 days' bleeding. In the middle, for 2 days the flow discontinued for 26-27 May, then continued again.
Condition: No cramp, no pain, no other symptoms. just having light to heavy blood with Blood clot like dark things. The clots are now less. Why my period is long, is it side effect of pill?How to bring it to normal by any medication? I had irregular periods before (periods which occurred after 35-45days each month, especially during stressed times, but periods continue for 5-7days always, no other problems).
Would be glad to have advice on this issue. Thanks in advance

My period supposed to arrive at 17th February but because i lost my virginity few days before that i think that affected it. But it is 7th March now and i am still not on my period however my belly hurts down at the bottom since 2-3 days (like it always hurts few days before i'm getting my menstruation). I am really scared of that thing which comes before sperm and that contains a small percent of sperm too.

View 2 RepliesMy son had some blood work done due to chronic diarrhea among many other things (he's on the autism spectrum, ADD, sweetest kid ever-had to throw that in) and we were trying to rule out celiac and who knows what else. Anyway his TSH and Free T4 were normal, but his Free T3 was slightly high. We rechecked it 4 weeks later and it's still just slightly high, with the other numbers being normal. His doctor thinks we shouldn't worry and should just monitor, I'm just looking for any advice if anyone has seen this because I keep reading that typically Free T3 is high when TSH is low?

Because this year has brought a lot of changes (becoming sexually active and all) I have been keeping note of what my periods have been like, or how my body has been reacting/"behaving" before expected periods (so that I know everything is fine and there is nothing to worry about)...
One of my questions is about pms stuff. I'm supposed to be getting my period tomorrow, but this whole week down there...it's felt like "oh i think i got my period" and then i go to the bathroom and there's nothing. Usually i get my period 2-3 days before expected date, but the only signs that I'll be getting my period are the fact that I've got acne breakout, and once in awhile a pinch in my lower stomach (like ovulation pains but way less). I did have protected sex 2 weeks ago- but again condoms were used, nothing broke, it went normally, technically that shouldn't give me reason to worry about anything like being pregnant..but I guess what I'm asking is...are my "pms" signs actually pms stuff or do u think they are because of something that i should worry about..? Also two days ago on my panty liner i noticed there was the slightest bit of light brown waxy discharge on there...but that does usually happen to me before getting my period...(last month my menses didn't last as long) but again...no period yet (even though i'm supposed to get it tomorrow)...should i worry? (fyi, i do have dysmenorrhea, and over the last 8 months, my cycles range from 25 to 31 days long).
Also: just as a basic question about sex. Is there really any need to worry about pregnancy risks or such every time i've had safe, protected sex (where we checked the condoms so much for any tears or rips before and after, and he ejaculates in his condom but not while in me- to be extra safe)? Having sex is just part of something people do...but is there need for such anxiety if we have been and are so careful every time, what do you think?

View 1 RepliesMy daughter just turned 17 a few weeks ago and still has not gotten her period. I got mine when I was around 15, so I find this a bit odd. She has had pubix hair since she was around 11ish. She got armpit hair around 12 and breasts at around 13, but still no period. She has had a yeast infection before and it was treated. She has also had an ultrasound because when the gynecologist tried to check out her insides she couldn't feel her cervix because my daughter was squirming too much. After the ultrasound they confirmed that she had one and everything seemed fine. My daughter has never had sex, so I know she is not pregnant. My daughter is also on the heavier side. She is slightly overweight. I say this because I know when women are too skinny sometimes their periods don't show up. Ever since she was around 13 ever doctor has told us she will get her period in 6 months or so. 4 years later and that still hasn't happened. She is starting to get worried.

I seem to be having an extra long cycle , I am currently on day 33(my average is 28-29). My last period was on November 21st and I was supposed to ovulate on Saturday December 5th (I had red spotting Friday, Saturday, and Sunday ) and then more red spotting on Monday the 14th... I have been under some stress as December was finals month. I have also had pain on my left side where my ovary would be. ...what do you all think is causing the delay in my period ? Is this hormonal? Is it a cyst ? Stress? BTW I didn't have vaginal sex during ovulation only oral and minimal fingering.

View 1 RepliesDuring the last six months I've been dating this wonderful new man. We are 25 and 26 and everything is perfect. He is also extremely attracted to me and in bed he is very open-minded, maybe even more so than me. Yet, that is, only if anything that has to do with menstruation is far, far away.
I have to admit, all my ex-boyfriends were 100% okay with my period and the contrast is insane, which might make me less understanding than other girls. Yet, in this case, it just gets weird sometimes to that extent it often makes me feel ashamed of my body and I start doing weird things such as inserting more stop weeks than I used to (I am on birth control) because I am extremely afraid of unexpected small breakthrough bleedings.
It has come to a point now that, around my period, we don't have satisfying sex for about ten or more days. My boyfriend does not touch me during the first days I have stopped taking my birth control, although my period is not there yet, and today, the first day after my period, he could not even get it up because he was not sure whether it was really over... But it goes further, he often acts weird when he sees my (unused) tampons, or he does not really want me to talk about my female problems, except for once, when he criticized me for not changing my tampons often enough. Of course he is very understanding when I'm in pain, he is very sweet by heart .
My boyfriend himself says it is 'natural' for men to be grossed out by periods. I try to be understanding about this and accept this opinion, although it's hard. Yet, sometimes, he spontaneously says during my period he does want to have sex but only when it's almost over or only if I'm on top because then he can 'focus more on me as a person'. I find it great he tries to do this, but since I can tell he sometimes is a bit grossed out or not very excited it makes me even more ashamed.
I don't think there is a real precedent since his ex-girlfriend was anorectic, and therefore barely had periods. She also did not have a high libido at all, according to my boyfriend. I also have to add his reactions do not suit his personality at all since he is very relaxed, untidy and generally not afraid of dirt at all.
Is there a way to break through this problem so that we are both happy in this situation?
I sometimes take 2 pills together or one after one (1 hour gap) of Primolut N on the first day to stop it for a day especially when I'm not expecting it. Please tell me is it harmful? And also if it would trigger my menopause?
