I fell on the back of the hand with my wrist bent forward under my arm and heard and felt a popping noise and now it hurts to do anything with it. Idk if i should go to the doctor or not (it's not too swollen and I have full mobility. But it hurts when I move it at all and I can't pick up anything)

View 1 RepliesI sprained my wrist 4 1/2 months ago. They did an MRI and found a cyst but the surgeon cannot feel the cyst even though it is on the MRI. He just told me it was just a bad sprain and it would take time. My wrist, hand and fingers have been swollen the whole time. Is this normal? Also, what can I do for pain? I have been taking ALeve but it has stopped working.
View 1 RepliesAbout two years ago I had pneumonia and while violently coughing I popped 4 of my ribs by my sternum. I went to the ER and they said it was fine that they were dislocated, then a couple months later to Urgent care and they also didnt see concerned. Well the past week or so they seem to have pushed out more and are in pain and my back has been hurting extremely bad on the same side as my ribs.
Question
1) Is this dangerous?
2) Would it require surgery?
I think I have a wrist strain or sprain in my left wrist. I can hold my hand straight out, fingers stretched out, & when I turn it to the left (sideways, palm side down), it feels like a catch & may be a little popping at times. Is this indicative of a strain or sprain?

Of course with wearing support.
View 1 RepliesI am a 34 year old male, no illnesses, suffering from hip pain for a while. The pain is on the outside of the hip in-line with the groin area, it doesn't hurt to walk but lifting and moving the leg when sitting/laying causes pain, as does doing butterfly stretches and bending the knee inwards/outwards. When it's particularly painful my whole leg will ache right down to the ankle.

Better way to explain it is when you sometimes put it in a weird position it pops and kind of hurts. Well it's like that but all the time all day sometimes. Recently it makes getting into my car and crossing my legs a task. Also, I feel light headed a good majority of the day. The light headedness only started with my leg issue. I have tried stretching my leg and rubbing it maybe thinking it's a pulled muscle but nothing seems to work. Is this something I need to worry about?

View 1 RepliesI injured my right wrist in April, and had surgery for it in the beginning of September, I have had two pins put in my wrist to allow the ligaments to heal as well as to align my bone which had dis aligned. I'm supposed to get the pins out in two weeks, and the pain has been absolutely unbearable. The pain is on the left side of the wrist where the pins are supposed to be taken out, located just under pinky. I am told that the pain is normal but I am looking for a second opinion as even slightly I'm bending my arm causes pain in my wrist.

View 1 RepliesSo I have no idea what is happening to me or to even speak to about this. The current state of my body is as follows. From top to bottom. My head veers towards the right. My vision is not what it used to be. I'm sensitive to light, and everything in the distance is blurred. Vision up close seems fine. I have trouble opening the right side of my mouth. This has made speaking very difficult. Looking to the left is painful in the neck and my right eye closes some. My right shoulder dips down and the left one up. Entire torso twists naturally to the right side. At the hips, the right side appears normal, but the left side appears to be sucked in somewhat. The mobility of the left leg from the hip is horrendous and kind of painful. It also looks considerably smaller than the right leg, which remains unaffected by anything. Totally normal. I have a very awkward gate and its difficult to just stand comfortably. I am 6'2", 170 pounds, and 25 years old. Now, at this point I've been to multiple chiropractors thinking that this was stemming from some kind of back problem, although i have no real back pain. I have also gotten some scans on the left side of my hip thinking that could be the problem. Both have been a complete waste of time and money. I exercise regularly and eat healthy. These problems have been on going and increasing in severity over the past 5 years. I have no idea what to do or what the problem is. This is ruining my life.
View 5 RepliesI had metal plates put in my wrist about 3 weeks ago and am in a removable cast. I have unbearable pain at one spot on the side of my wrist under my thumb. It's real painful when I take my cast off and even with the cast I'm only comfortable holding my hand pointing up. Gravity seems to hurt my hand and can't even put my arm in a splint because it hurts. 2 questions:
Had anyone experience this to give advice on what you did to get comfortable and how long this pain lasted?
Any advice on the best position to sleep? All positions I've tried put pressure on that side of my wrist. I tried finding a position where my thumb is pointing up, but haven't found a good position that doesn't lock my shoulder. I haven't slept in 2 weeks and really need some sleep.
My son had an LP done in Sept. He walked into the hospital fine and ever since then has been in extreme pain and has limited mobility. They can't find anything medically wrong with him.
