Advice On Chlamydia And Gonorrhea?

I have a girlfriend, about a month ago I had sex outside my relationship with an escort.  The condom broke. I was worried about chlamydia and gonorrhea immediately. Although I never got any kind of burning sensation or coloured discharge.

few days after the encounter I saw my GP and asked him for treatment, without testing. A positive test result cold potentially have devastating effect and word would get out believe it or not. So the doctor gave me a course of azithromycin for 5 days along with a course of doxycycline for a week.

Two weeks after that I found our that the medicine he gave me does not cure gonorrhea only chlamydia. Also at the same time I was told by my girlfriend that she thinks she has a yeast infection. to be on the safe side I treated her and myself again with cefixime 400 for 1 week and 1 gram of azithromycin on the first day followed by 500mg the second day.

We are now a week on from that treatment, and I still have doubts about myself. My girlfriend's "yeast infection" has cleared up almost completely. But for me I have a weird feeling in my penis, almost like a slight itchiness inside. Also I feel as if there is always a drop left that I need to squeeze out, and when I do squeeze it I get the teeniest drop of clear fluid that comes out, also my testicles feel itchy (not sure if this is related). At first I just thought it was my mind overthinking and me worrying that was doing this... but now I'm quite sure that things are not normal

I dont want this to ruin our relationship as we have two children together, and I need any treatment to happen in secret. I can get my hands on any medication that is required quite easily.

1- What do I do about myself? Is there any additional meds I need to take? Do I need the intramusclar injection of Ceftriaxone??

2- Do I need to do anything about my girlfriend? especially since I cant tell her what has happened for the sake of our kids!! Is she fine if she is symptom free? Could she be cured with the course of antibiotics I gave her?  Please note she also took anti fungal meds at the same time.

Would really appreciate any advice I could get.

Laparoscopy For Endometriosis? Need Advice

Long story short, I've been suffering from excruciatingly debilitating cramps every single cycle, this started three ish years ago I spend hours in the ER I've been admitted few times as well and it's the same bloody routine every single time

I'm in immobilizing pain, cold and hot flashes, nausea, vomiting fainting poor appetite dehydration low blood sugar levels heart palpitations weakness fatigue exhaustion crankiness moody insomnia etc etc

All these symptoms I experience up to two weeks before my period then during the first 3-4 days of my period then total exhaustion few days after my period and I'm symptom free a week before my period give and take. I should also mention that I've had several x-rays, ultrasounds and all kinds of blood tests and everything comes out good healthy and no problems yet I have these symptoms that just don't seem to go away, last stop for me was a visit to an endocrinologist and he's taking care of my thyroid problem given a new doze a little over a month ago and things are looking fine on that end I had a referral from him to see a gynecologist in mid September but having been bed bound with all the symptoms and persistent pain on my right abdomen I spent the night in the hospital and everything came out good both the blood and the urine tests and the ultrasound and regardless of how many drugs were given to me via an IV I was still experiencing bad persistent tedious excruciatingly painful pain on the right side of my abdomen so the gynecologist today discussed laparoscopy with me and I felt so comfortable around her and being as fed up as I am with all this pain I said I'll go for it

It will be a Diagnostic Laparoscopy for Endometriosis she put it as urgent and she'll be the one performing the procedure I'm happy things will finally start to clear out and hopefully I'll be in my way to some kind of cure hopefully but I'm so nervous please help any words of comfort or advice will be greatly appreciated. I did half the paper work already and I'll have some more to do the day of I have a really good doctor guiding me thru this call me weak or crazy but I'm incredibly nervous.

It would be nice to hear from anyone who's done this kind of procedure please BTW I'm 23 years old, healthy no health complications non smoker or drinker

Pre Hip Replacement Advice / Tips?

My LTHR had been scheduled for next week. During my pre op session last week the dr remarked that the pains down my left leg may be due to a spine issue, while the groin pain would almost certainly would be due to my bad left hip. He is suggesting that I see his spine colleague before he definitely goes ahead with the hip op.

My question to you hippies: before your hip op did you have pains down your leg(s) including ankle? And (this is the important bit) did the hip op get rid of the leg pains? I am thinking that if your answer is yes to both questions then maybe I should get a second opinion from another surgeon.

Constipation For A Month

So I started a new job in December. It's an hour away and is a desk job, so for 10 hours (basically), I am sitting. I do stand when I can, but I don't have a desk that allows me to stay that way. I wish I had one, but they're too expensive for the work budget. Before this job, I was constantly walking around or standing at the very least.

About three weeks into this new job, there was one day where I felt horribly bloated and gassy. I was wearing a belt and felt like I needed to take it off and unbutton my pants immediately, but I couldn't until I went to my car. After that, I noticed I was constipated and gassy once I made it home.

I figured it was okay since that has happened before (but for only two days). Over the weeks, I realized that whenever I DID pass stool, it was flattened and very difficult unless my morning coffee was able to dislodge it. There has never been any blood or mucus. It has just been really hard to pass bowels over the last month. My stomach hurts a little after straining, but the frustrating thing is that I feel like I need to go sometimes and feel like I could pass a stool if I stood up and did it. That just isn't possible...

At any rate, I don't know what the problem is... I'm in my late 20s. I drink lots of water. My diet depends on my time...

Flat stool
Constipation
No blood
No mucus
Only felt bloated twice (including the initial bloating)
Stomach pain only after straining
No nausea

Early 20's And Constipation

I am a female in my early 20s. I lead a very active lifestyle, drink water exclusively, and have a very healthy diet (no processes foods, lots of fruits and vegetables). However, I'll go days without a bowel movement. It's so uncomfortable that I can sometimes barely get my pants buttoned in the morning.

Ankle Reconstruction Due In 2 Weeks - Any Advice?

I am scheduled for a total ankle reconstruction in 2 wks and hoping some of you will have some words of wisdom or tips/advice .

I'm going to be on bed rest for the first 2-3wks, in a cast for 12wks, NWB for 8wks and not able to drive.

Any suggestions as to what I should have on hand to make life easier while being on bed rest and while NWB? We've invested in a cold therapy unit for the immediate post op period . I'm a wimp when it comes to pain so hoping the cryotherapy unit combined with the pain med's will leave me with minimal pain.

I'm not one to lay around and do nothing....always have to be out and about doing things. This is going to a very mentally challenging few weeks/months.

First Diverticulitis Attack - Suggestions Or Advice?

My Mom suffered from Diverticulitis but she passed last year and her and I had never really discussed anything about it other than my sister or myself might eventually suffer from it because it could be hereditary. I have some questions that I would have asked my Mom but now I please need help since she’s gone. And I was too stressed and forgot to ask my GI these questions and he’s not reachable on the weekends. Thank you.

I’m a 47 year old Male. And I just started my Ciprofloxacin 500 mg (2 daily) & Metronidazole 500 mg (3 daily) yesterday. GI said to take the pills for a week to 10 days.

- How normally long before the more extreme burning sensations will begin to dissipate? 2-3 Days?

- How long should I stay on the liquid diet? The entire time while I’m taking the antibiotics?

- I bought Carnation, Boost & Ensure food drink supplements - Good idea?

- I also bought jello, pudding, chicken stock, red, white & blue popsicles, ginger ale, apple juice & plain yogurt - All good? Any other recommendations?

- How much water should I also be drinking daily?

- The Metronidazole seems to be awful. I have a metallic taste in my mouth, evening & morning headaches, stomach cramps & a nauseated feeling all the time. Is this normal?

- Any other suggestions or advice?
